We apologize for the recent, frequent issues with the FFT archives and want to be as transparent as possible about what's going on.
The archives software has not been updated by the efiction creator in several years, so it has become increasingly incompatible with programming on the server. We've been in touch with an admin of another efiction site who has developed custom upgrades and who is helping us out on a volunteer basis. We've encountered issues here and there with answering her questions about certain aspects of our site, such as the setup of the server and customizations that were previously done, because your current admin Melanie and Ineke are very much not computer people. 
We have every confidence that this will be resolved and we'll have an updated archive that functions even better than before, but unfortunately can't give you a timeline right now.
We encourage you to keep reading other FFT authors' fics on Archive of Our Own or Fanfiction.net if they publish there, or just use this time to catch up with your writing, find a beta, visit some Writer's Journals, etc.
Please be patient with us -- we promise you, Melanie has spent hours trying to understand whatever aspects of web programming she can, and trying to find help from people who are more proficient. We just don't want you to think we're over here ignoring the problem!
