Cometh thy moon, for I am yours.
Under thine light, to you I'm bound.
They hide their children and bare their doors
When they hear that gnashing sound.
None shall be safe from what lurks in the night.
All will fear this cursed plight.
None will escape the moon's true terror.
For I am he. I am Fenrir.

What he had pictured in his head when he'd first thought of teaching were long, sweeping orations, students hanging on his every word, young minds being taken in and inspired by his message. What he did not fully consider, however, was that he would actually have to teach. (In which Tom Riddle begins teaching at Hogwarts and realizes just what a horribly stupid idea it was.)
Newt Scamander had always been different, even from a young age, from other children. He had been very introspective and anxious. Follow young Newt as he begins his first year at Hogwarts while he learns to navigate the world of magic while on his own in Hufflepuff’s house without his family’s guidance. He will have to overcome obstacles that make it difficult for him to connect with his peers as he forms friendships.

Tiramisu is the name of an arctic fox who was brought to medieval England by an Italian trader and left at an abbey in Cambridgeshire to be the pet of two young boys who had been placed in the abbey by their families. Set in the disastrous Fourteenth Century, this is the story of one of those boys, Martin, who had to endure what no fifteen-year-old should have to face--calamity. loss, grief--but also a story of friendship, survival, spirituality, and ultimately a connection to canon.
Written for the Bookshelf Challenge of Bex (Beyond the Rain). The random quote prompt, "I started to step out of my clothes as Tom leaned against the doorframe," is from the book Queenie by Candice Carty Williams. My eternal thanks to Bex for giving me the impetus to write this one-shot that grew into a novel.

Arachne never expected to catch the eye of Tom Riddle, the mysterious, handsome fifth year of (supposedly) pureblood stock. She also didn't expect for the story of the century to fall into her lap.
The year is 2018. I'm on Quotev absentmindedly browsing through stories when I find it: a romantic fanfic involving young Voldemort. "What the feck?" I ask myself, as I click it out of morbid curiosity, unknowingly discovering the part of the internet that romanticizes a murderer because the actor who played teenage him was conventionally attractive. "This is pretty bad." I say to myself offhandedly, "I could do better." Those were, of course, my famous last words.
Prettyboy McSnakeheir has a crush on a girl and doesn't know how to deal with it.
Tom Riddle attempts to navigate the prejudiced wizarding world alongside sharp-minded girls, influential boys, and he does not at all have a crush, crushes are stupid and he is a perfectly, reasonable, level-headed boy of eleven, he does not have a crush. | An attempt at a realistic, critical view of both the Harry Potter world, and Tom Riddle having a plausible love interest. There is a murderer on the loose, shrouded in paranoia, and the old structures, things of blood and age and time, are starting to crumble.
And a ship arrives from Lübeck bringing Tom Riddle home.
