Hi Cassie! I'm here with your challenge entry review :D

You've done a great job writing Draco and Hermione sparking off one another! Hermione starts out certain that Draco is there to trip her up on purpose, only to discover that he's part of the reason she's going to get her legislation passed. But, of course, he's a Slytherin, so he's not going to come right out and *say* all that. He has to go at it the roundabout way.

I thought you did a great job with each of their characters. The long scene in the lift felt very natural in the way it progressed from enemies to cautious allies to a make out session. The timing was great and it never felt rushed. When he finally says he's going to kiss her unless she tells him not to, it feels like the most natural thing in the world.

I'm super interested in this case that Harry wants both Draco and Hermione to help him with. I'm also interested to see where things go after this close encounter. Let me know if you decide to write a sequel :eyes:

Here again for the fairyland review event! I am happy to drunkenly debate you in a gdoc any day, Honorable Asshat. And, uh, one of these days I will actually get that chapter of Irrational posted that we even did this exercise for.

BUT

The point is, it partially inspired this lovely fic, belligerent sexual tension in an elevator, and the way those Ministry elevators go, crashing all over the place and tumbling into one another and so forth. Once the kidding started, that scene was v., v., V. sexy, okay?

Also I did think it was such an interesting thing you did with Hermione having Draco’s file because she was working on getting the restrictions lifted because it was the right thing to do, an important show of, if not goodwill necessarily, then fairness certainly. And then with Draco revealing that the reason he’s such a huge pain in the ass about her legislation is that he knows if certain loopholes are left open it will never pass.

Another fantastic fluff feather in your cap, though a different sort of fluff than your first two, a bit more drama this time!

Omfg, Cassie.

I've been putting off reading this one because I knew how much I would love it and I knew I wanted to properly dedicate my attention to it, and I am so glad I did.

This is amazing. Incredible. Fantastic. Perfect. Wonderful. More adjectives that express how much I fucking love this.

Seriously, it's perfect. You know how impressed I always am with your characterization of Draco and Hermione, and you absolutely blew me away in this one. It's my absolute favorite story of yours (well, it might be tied with "You Were Good to Me," but I'll have to think more about that later). Hermione's fire and passion in this story were perfect. Draco's bumbling attempts to compliment her were wonderful. Their banter and bickering and then sheer freaking chemistry were stunning.

I love that Draco gave her the credit she deserved for getting her legislation through. And I loved that he accidentally admitted that he had helped her because he believes in the work she does and he knows that the bureaucracy would try to put up road blocks.

I love that he was instinctively trying to protect her whenever the lift would jolt. I love that he asked her before kissing her. I love that they are clearly just so ridiculously compatible.

Weirdly, I think my favorite line was "You're left-handed." I just...there was something so intimate about that statement. Just the fact that she suddenly noticed something minute about him, something new that she hadn't seen before...ugh. I just loved that so much.

Please write 25,000 more Dramiones. Thank youuuu.
