Here from the review tag! Yay I really love Muggle!AUs in text formats because there's so much that can be revealed through chats (also so relatable haha!).

Scorp and Lily being friends is so cute! Trust James to give Lily a concussion - lol - I feel like that needed to happen serendipitously. Wonder if that's what Lily had in mind when she said 'although' in her text to Scorp!

"Rose: debate is not a chaos sport!!!!!!!" - Do I see a little bit of Granger peeking out from under there? Yes? Maybe a LOT more of Granger peeking out. Haha - I love this line and love it to bits!!

"Scorpius: she even managed to argue with my gps about the best route" - I could totally picture this and couldn't stop laughing!!!

omg, rose. the girl really needs to chill. it's crazy but also quite endearing that she is so uptight about this but it's more that she cares so much which makes it cute but also scary. i'm glad that i'm not lily personally when rose is being peak rose. i don't know why scorp wants to be involved so much but i love that he's a bit of stubborn hothead like rose is too. they're quite a pair.

 

omg, rose. like woahh. those messages to lily like she obviously cares so much about it. it's handy for lily that she has an excuse not to go now :P i love how rose is just trying to keep it together like 'everything will be fine'. i love the title and omg it works so so well in this piece. 

 

only one bed?? i'm screaming, love it. yayyy! they're winning xD i love their drunkness, this is such a really good cute hook up/relationship start story. i love them so much, lily is a little minx but i love it so muchhh.

Hey Lo, here for our swap and lol, I don't know how I missed this awesome story, but it was really fun and cute :D 

 

Debating is such a good activity for Rose honestly, or at least the way I picture her lol, and I can understand why Lily just wanted out lol, with the crazy schedule, plus there's always the bonus of having Rose and Scorp make each other suffer hahaha. What a marvelously evil and wonderful plan. 

 

I just also love how Rose freaks out, DEBATE IS NOT A CHAOS SPORT, and the fact that they go on to win all their rounds is very cool, it looks like Rose's meticulousness and Scorpius' spontaneous flare is a great combination.

There were so many great lines here that made me laugh out loud, you are one of the funniest writers I know, and reading your stories just brightens my day and mood, and this was definitely one of them. And omg the one bed trope, haha, yes, and then the inevitable cuddling/getting closer for the two of them, I mean I am delighted :D I wonder will we get a missing moment from this? That'd be great :D but also what I love about the chatfic is that it leaves a lot of these scenes to your imagination but the characters' reactions to situations are so fun to read about. 

 

Hahahaha, Rose's last message has me cracking up, BUSTED, though I doubt that she'll complain much past the initial outrage ;)

I love the setup here of Rose and Scorpius not working well together at all. You did a great job establishing this through anecdotes and Lily’s repeated insistence that Scorpius not join even though she was clearly dying from the debate practices.

 

I’m totally not surprised that Scorpius was who replaced Lily after she got concussed (although the very cynical part of me wonders if she actually got concussed or if she just wanted to get out of it lol). I love Rose’s suggestion of Advil – while that’s definitely Not Good for a concussion it’s a great way to show why she and Scorpius don’t work well together. “Debate is not a chaos sport” well it is now *insert elmofire here*

 

I LOVE THAT THERE’S ONLY ONE BED

 

I also love Scorpius’s belated “wait you aren’t supposed to be looking at screens” after a whole conversation with Lily about the hotel situation.

 

I KNEW SHE FAKED IT

 

“do not make me call your mother” lol Scorpius. Maybe he and Rose are right for each other after all. Love the mental image of Scorpius sleeping in the tub.

 

I love how Scorpius is completely ignoring Rose’s suggestions about debate strategy and she’s cool with it? I think it’s a great way to subtly hint at potentially Rose maybe being interested in Scorpius. I love Scorpius’s jab at Lily’s debating abilities.

 

I loved Rose’s texts to Lily telling her that Scorpius was super cute. It seems like the kind of thing that Rose would only confess drunk. I love the details of what happened between Scorpius and Rose, and I’m very curious about the “Granger-Weasley” detail? I love how the end was Rose finding out the concussion fakery.

 

I really loved this and I’m sorry my bribes are taking so long and I’ll be back soon!

Ahh, enemies to lovers (or at least people who annoy the shit out of each other to lovers) where literal debating is part of the plot. It’s so cute. Okay but Lo this is hilarious and of COURSE Rose Granger-Weasley participates in debate team/club/whatever it’s called because that just fits her personality to a T. Lily getting bedraggle by all of the extra debate practice sessions is a big mood especially as Rose’s concern over doing poorly outweighs the need for Lily to, you know, have the chance to actually get some very important rest and breaks from debate think. Scorpius offering his services as a third debate team member is very kind of him, even as Lily declines knowing that he’ll just bicker forever with Rose and no actually productive work will be done. Lily faking a concussion though to literally force Scorpius in with Rose to regionals is hilarious and also forces Rose and Scoripus to at least semi work their shit out so they can be a functioning debate team. And then they win, and celebrate, and drink, and cuteness ensues. I *clap* LOVE *clap* IT *clap*

Immediately, I really love Rose. She's super fucking relatable. I too update my calendar every five minutes. I love how I could tell how type-A is after literally....three messages haha.

 

The fact that Lily and Scorpius are friends but that Scorpius and Rose hate each other is intriguing to me, and I wonder what's going on there, and whether we'll get an enemies-to-lovers romance (fingers crossed?!?!).

 

Ugh, wow, okay, I gotta say, I feel pretty annoyed with Rose for her lack of a sympathetic response to Lily when she had a FUCKING concussion. (sidebar: james, you idiot, how did you clip Lily in the head with a baseball). I thought it was especially insensitive of Rose to be like, "advil should help right"? *MAJOR FACEPALM*

 

Ooh, okay I love how you've set up the differences between Rose and Scorpius's personalities. Scorpius will make shit up, and Rose updates her calendar every five minutes. God, I'm such a slut for opposites attract.

OOH Lily is such a crafty bitch. I love her too, and like Scorpius, I am both aghast and impressed.

 

I really love Lily and Scorpius's friendship, they have such good camraderie and I love reading them tease each other. The basis of a good friendship: quality mutual roasting.
