Hi HPFT! It's been nearly a year since I was last active...I can't believe it. I was looking through my old blog posts, the "unfiltered brain highlights" that I used to post, and then I quickly deleted them out of shame. I decided that this comeback deserves a new, shiny blog - one that I can use to give you a quick update on where I've been. 

Work

I work at a cinema, and we don't tell time with months or days, but by when the films were released. I semi-disappeared around the time that Endgame was released, and then altogether during the six week summer holidays. Not much about work has changed, other than I'm now slightly less terrible at it than I used to be, haha. 

PW 

In the summer I joined the HP rpg site, pottersworld! One of the things I enjoy most about writing is being creative with a community. PW is great for that!! For over a month now my heart hasn't really been in it and I've struggled to write my characters. Sometimes I thrive off of the interactive writing style, but at the minute I'm struggling. I might go back to it, but my mind is currently occupied by a very loud OC by the name of Helena...so maybe not for a while. 

Raising Helena 

I had been trying really hard to write an SSHG one shot, but nothing was really working. I had time travel AUs and post Hogwarts AUs, but I couldn't make their origin story work. A few hours after attempting version three, Helena Eileen Snape was born and I've been writing her everyday since. This is the first fic I've written where the outline is falling together very naturally and I have an ending!!! Two possible endings, actually. Clue: both of them are a bit angsty. 

So that brings you up to speed.  There's been a few failed relationships, work drama, and theatre related work along the way. But that was pre-quarantine life. Now, my life consists of yoga, books, and kit kats. Lots of kit kats.
