The Underrated Character Challenge Winners!
Hello! I'm finally here with the results of my challenge: The Underrated Character Challenge.
This was really difficult to judge (part of why I've been putting it off, also, I'm knee deep in a job hunt, please be patient with me)
but I sat down this afternoon and read all six fics, many, many times.
I finally have a list of winners, but I'm going to link all the entries in here - because you should read them all.
The entries:
migration patterns by tangents | homegrown lightning by magemadi |
lies do become us by imaravenclaw | seaside rendezvous by vaugelycreativename |
beyond the hedgerow by juls | wasted days by victoria anne
The winners:
first place: @tangents
I recommend you stop what you're doing right now, and go read this.
This story explores the life of an incredibly underrated, virtually unheard of character, Peregrine Derrick.
The writing style, the plot, the content - all of it is perfect.
second place: @victoria_anne
I really liked this story, because it focused on how the bad can be turned into something good.
There was a lot of comfort and healing, and two women just being there for each other, which, if you know me - is definitely my vibe.
Really well written, and very warm towards the end.
third place: @magemadi
A peek at one of the HP verse's forgotten baddies: Rodolphus Lestrange.
I really loved reading the rise, and the eventual fall of this death eater - and who he was before he became Bellatrix's husband.
The ending of this piece stuck really stuck with me, I won't spoil it, but you should definitely take a look.
Honourable Mentions: @ImaRavenclaw @VaguelyCreativeName @juls
Your entries were excellent, and I loved reading all of them from start to finish. Thank you so much!
Thank you again to everyone who entered my challenge, and I'm probably about to hit you with the next one in a matter of days? Hours? Who can say.
I'll be messaging the winners soon to discuss the matter of prizes! Congrats again!
