i love redemption fics, and i've always thought dudley definitely deserved one. so when i saw this story on the archives i couldn't resist starting it and i got hooked from the first couple of paragraphs - the idea that dudley is the muggle cho eventually gets together with is freaking brilliant and i love that take on cho's story (the crumbs we got from jkr at least). the two of them meet at harry's wedding and of course they're both miserable - dudley literally doesn't know anyone, and those who recognise him are, of course wary of him because they know how he was to harry while growing up, and cho...well, cho is miserable because it's her ex boyfriend's wedding and she's alone. and drinking heavily. so the two of them meet at the free bar and one thing leads to another, sparks fly, it's wild. they're also both such jocks that i love that for them. and at one point kreacher makes an appearance and dudley talks to him and it's hilarious. in fact, i guarantee you'll laugh your ass off at most of the first chapter (and beyond), it's a fantastic story and so damn original and creative!
