deni decided to rewrite revival, her old louis/oc story that i was seriously hooked on and it's this - six impossible things (because lbr all the next gens are a lil mad, aren't they? all that fame and glory...). there's just one chapter up (deni write more pls soon you have to) but it pulls you right into the world of rona mckenna. it's obvious she's had some difficulties lately with her mental health, that's she's been through some stuff and that's she's absolutely not happy with everyone else knowing her business. her mother is a politician and she's been living in the spotlight for a long time and you can imagine how hard that must get, especially when you're a teenager and then young adult. we don't get the full picture in this first chapter, there's just foreshadowing of things to come, but the way deni waves you through this little bit of rona's life is enough to make you want more, fast. it's new year's eve and rona finally goes out with her friends (in this super cool magical-but-also-muggleish club) and it honestly feels like she's dusting off cobwebs off herself. while her version of dusting off cobwebs doesn't make her "fresh" like idk after a rain, it does distinctly feel like things might be looking up, even though it's a low bar at this point in the story. she also very briefly meets/catches the eye of louis weasley and just from that one lil description/moment between them i love him already. idk how that's possible but it is. go read it if you're into hella messy characters and clubbing and dark feelings and realistic portrayal of the difficulty when you're young and not the perfect mask you show everyone else. there are cracks and they show.
