i don't think i would've ever thought of molly weasley as a dragon rider but fucking hell it's such a glorious headcanon that eli has decided to run with it and run wild and write this hella fucking beautiful mollly/arthur story, but also, it's so much more than a romance story (i haven't read the latest chapter yet but the ones i had, molly and arthur haven't even met yet..) right now it's mostly a story about molly, this wild, wild, firecrackery girl who's sort of lost and broken and empty due to the tragedy of her family, and she's trying to have this adventure, which, to me, feels like also a way to find herself again, to keep herself still going, even after everything that happened, the loss she suffered.

and arthur! i love eli's take on him as an assistant to this grumpy old private detective by the name of ichabod, who is also pretty damn hilarious. the two of them are hired to search for molly, and i just have this feeling that it'll be pretty glorious when arthur and molly finally meet because even just seeing her in pictures and knowing her from other people's descriptions of her, arthur gives off the vibe of being far more understanding of molly than most people seem to and it's wonderful and i can't wait to see them actually meet!

the descriptions are beautiful in this story, and little tidbits of canon elements strewn in have me going all and because lbr, the knight bus as a submarine is bound to crack anyone up, right? i just love this story so much, it's addictive and wistful and lonely and humorous and all the best things.

it's fucking great.
