We'd like to give new members a quick tour of our site! Before being able to post anything visible to other members, you need to be fully validated by our staff. To do so, please start at the Welcome to FanficTalk+ thread and read our rules and guidelines+. After you confirm that you've read them and agree, a staff member will validate your post and you'll be free to post across the forum. Once you do, we'd love for you to introduce yourself in Introductions+.

You have tons of options to customize your FFT experience! Click on your username in the top right corner of the screen and select Profile. Here you'll be able to change your profile picture and your cover photo. Select Edit Profile in the top right of your cover photo and fill in any information you feel comfortable with. Your About Me is a space to really showcase your personality. Many of our members promote their stories, display awards, and tell us about themselves there. Enable Status Updates if you'd like to post your own status updates. Member Title will be unlocked once you reach a certain number of posts on the site! Then you can customize the text above your username on your posts. 

You can customize some privacy settings under Account Settings (located below Profile in the drop down menu under your username). There you can also add a signature that will show below every post on desktop. 

You can change your username color here+. You can change your username here+. You have a few hours to edit a post before it can no longer be edited except by staff members. Please post in Delete/Edit/Move my Topic/Post+ to have a staff member assist you. 

We highly recommend joining the archive to read and post stories! You can register here+. To post new stories to the archive, select Account at the top and then Add New Story. Fill out your story shell appropriately and refer to guidelines+ and tutorials+ to determine how to rate your story and add advisories. Validators will be happy to answer any questions you have about rating or advisories. To select multiple options (such as the characters or pairings in a list), use command (mac)/control (pc) + select or shift + select. You can add chapters, hide, unhide, edit, and delete stories in the Account Menu under Manage Stories.  Please keep in mind that when you submit an edit to the queue it will disappear from your Author Page until it is validated. Edits are our first priority when validating new chapters though.
