i hosted a fun lil' challenge which was very simple: 5 prompts, 5 days, 500 word limit
i was honestly amazed by the number of entries i received and all of them were absolutely wonderful - these short short stories really hit differently when you have to pack up a lot of stuff into just 500 words, but all of them did it magnificently and i enjoyed myself immensely reading and reviewing the entries
thank you everyone who entered my challenge, you're all wonderful writers and i'm so happy you decided to write a lil something for the challenge!

and choosing the top three was literally torture but after considering the originality of prompt use i managed to decide on them, but, as i said, it was super difficult to judge and i highly rec all of the entries!
the awards are a picspam for the top three entries + a banner for the winner!

third place: +twisted every way by @prideofsugarplums
an amazing look into cedrella weasley's feelings after the death of her sister, charis. it's twisty and it hurts and it'll make you think, what exactly does cedrella mean when she says that the truth would cost her everything courtney really made me think with this one, turn over cedrella's thoughts and actions, it was just really ambivalent (at least in my head) and i loved that.

second place: +too close to the sun by @snowing wicked
an intimate window into the feelings of dominique weasley after leaving an abusive relationship. i especially loved the imagery in this one, deni does an amazing job at painting dom's vulnerable headspace and making you feel all the things.

first place: +time to be a time fugitive by @BookDinosaur
this was just so so fucking original! emily took a 2012 private party invitation as the prompt and turned it into this awesome sci fi time travel wild and absolutely chaotic fun story that makes you want to know more about the protagonist and the artist and the entire world she created in just 500 words! it's short but it just somehow, with little tidbits of information sprinkled throughout, manages to create this super vivid and vibrant and *intriguing* world and characters i'm dying to know more about!
