One of my favourite ever next-gen fics - and that's saying something as I pride myself on having read a LOT of them! The main stars of this story are James (II) Potter and a muggle OC, Carlotta. The story is told from James's POV in first person. James, set to be one of the greatest quidditch players England has ever seen, has it all. Talent, amazing looks, fame, money...and a seemingly endless string of women. Who all, unfortunately, seem to want James for a little bit longer than he wants them. Until he happens upon quick-witted, confident and attractive Carlotta in a muggle bar, who's also looking for a bit of no-strings-attached fun.

And it's all fun...until things get serious, and it isn't any longer. Because life as a quidditch star comes with issues such as photographers and bad publicity, and no-strings-attached Carlotta suddenly has strings attached. You'll have to read it yourself as I'm not going to give anything else away, but not only is James a fabulously funny narrator, the supporting cast of this story is simply excellent (Lily and Aunt Audrey were two of my faves) and there are some unexpected plot twists woven throughout. 

If you like next-gen, humour, romance, drama, and a bit of Potter family shenanigans thrown in, you'll love this story. I do.
