this is a romance but not it's not like other romances. it's angstier, it's a bit less pure romance-y, it starts, almost from the end and then restarts. but it really is a romance, underneath all of that: it's about two people falling in love (never mind that it's sort of again and differently and newly) and building something together.
sure, it's a soft romance - a quiet romance, in courtney's own words - but it's captivating all the same, with the same will-they-won't-they push-and-pull and the same nervousness and longing, just a little older, a little wiser, and a little more scarred and a lot more been-there-done-that it's thoughtful and sweet and the hurt of it smooths out to comfort in the end (for those of you who like happy endings ).
look, it's very simple: do you like romance? if yes, then do you like emotional romance? if yes, then read this. you won't be disappointed
