this is fantastic piece of original fiction by kris, this makes such a good read because the description is so amazing. kris deals with emotions in such a beautiful way, i love how she describes physical things but then go into emotional states in the same beat. it's so effective and smooth. her use of weather metaphors are particular powerful throughout the collection. I love how much her work consumes you as you read it. you are right there in that moment with the characters, it's angst and deliciously dark. a must read.
