Race through the Galazy Review Event Results

Race the Galazy Event Results

spacer.png

Welcome, everyone, to the results ceremonies for this year's "Race the Galazy" reviewing event extravaganza! Before your dear Admirals announce the winners, we shall first take a stroll through some memorable moments, statistical anomalies, and then finally the ultimate results of the race. ?

The Teams

S.S. Voyager - @Oregonian, @spaceballet, @RogueSlytherinCadet, @grumpy viper pilot, @something wicked, @belgian quaffle, @Unwritten Curse

S.S. Wanderer - @BellaLestrange87, @CosmicAngel, @Cosmic Kneazles, @crimson comet, @Ineke, @Starpuff, @blast aph

Round 1

The first round of the event saw both teams of cadets traversing around the galaxy, testing the waters and getting used to bouncing between the nine planets. Both teams avoided Sannoria, deeming the high-risk, potentially high-reward races as being too risky still for their fresh crews, but otherwise touched down on every other planet.

S.S. Voyager - 317

S.S. Wanderer - 267

Round 2

The S.S. Wanderer took the leap to Sannoria this round, while S.S. Voyager played it safe and stocked up on fuel and finished their missions on the other planets with such speed it had the admiral team mightily impressed! Needless to say, after round 2's faster-than-light speed completion of tasks available to both teams, the admirals were more than excited for what could only turn into a literal race to the finish line in the final round.

S.S. Voyager - 389

S.S. Wanderer - 471

Round 3

Both ships launched right to FTL travel when this round picked up, having (theoretically) relaxed during the required break for internal interviews to occur, and neither team was willing to relax for one second this round. We even saw our grand admiral @lostinthelightss abducted by a riddle master while on Anvorilia, which goes to show how much everyone was willing to pitch in to rescue her.

S.S. Voyager - 1156

S.S. Wanderer - 1008

Rising Through The Ranks

We also had some personnel aboard the I.S.S. Astrolabe that chose to forgo the race and instead log some hours on the station instead, upgrading machinery, organizing and compiling data, and generally keeping up morale around the Astrolabe and aboard both the Wanderer and Voyager ships.

Thank you for keeping the space station in tip top shape, @prideofgalactica, @Felpata_Lupin, and @inmystarrylittlecorner!

In total, 489 reviews were left for the individual task throughout the event by these three cadets, members of both teams, and also some of your admirals! Wear your ranks with pride!

Thank you to everyone who participated in either the team or individual reviewing event! We'll be asking for feedback on both this event and the update to the Golden Ink Awards process very soon, so be on the lookout for that form and also for the results of our annual writing awards!

Live long and prosper. ?
