spring 2022 bulletin
welcome to the spring bulletin!
if you're new, welcome to fanfictalk! it's great to have you with us. we're a multi-fandom forum + archive with a strong culture of support for other writers and feedback here, including a story help section, challenges, and reviewing events - so if you're a writer, you've come to the right place. please make sure that you post in the 'welcome to fft' topic +here to say that you've read over the rules and understand them. you can reach out to any +staff member for help if you have any questions at all (we're very friendly and we like helping!), and you may also find our +faqs helpful.
@Ineke is moving from her current position as deputy admin to admin. congratulations, ineke!
in addition, @lostinthelightss in the lights is taking on a new position of activity coordinator, which will encompass many of our new/returning forum challenges as well as other behind-the-scenes duties to make sure everything is staying on track. congratulations, lo!
applications for all staff positions will be open through june 10. there's no post count/join date limit, and you can apply for as many positions as you like - it's all on one application. a detailed rundown on how site staffing works can be found +here, and you can find the application +here.
right now, there are a number of people participating in @RogueSlytherin's i'll read fluff if i want to challenge, many of whom are stepping outside their comfort zones in some way - we recommend checking it out if you haven't!
the results of the inkys will also be posted shortly. in addition, we'll be making a few small changes in the coming weeks in response to some feedback we've received; keep an eye out in site announcements for that. we've also decided to formally shift to a seasonal bulletin rather than a monthly one, though staff applications will still be open every month.
spring's members of the month have all been active on both the forums and the archives, particularly in leaving reviews for their fellow members. congratulations to @crimson quill, @grumpy cat, @belgian quaffle, and @Hufflepuffbookworm1990!
spring's staffers of the month are some of our most active and reliable members of our team, and their ability to juggle competing priorities is integral to the site's ability to continue to function smoothly. congratulations to @magemadi, @down-in-flames, and @BellaLestrange87!
congratulations to @Aphoride ( +fish for pearls), @teh tarik ( +a midsummer night's dream ), and @quill2parchment (+in this darkness)!
