Set in modern day Chicago, we see Severus Snap, a cop run into Nurse Tonks at a situation that gives Severus no reason to pursue a romantic relationship - except that Nurse Tonks might just be what Severus Snape truly needs in his life.

Written for @RogueSlytherin's fluff challenge (which has given us so many wonderful stories), I absolutely LOVE this Cop!Severus Snape and Nurse!Ted Tonks muggle AU story. Starting with the grumpy/sunshine trope (no points for guessing who is what), this fluffy-goodness is filled with a roller coaster of emotions, and I keep coming back for more. 

The story unravels completely through Severus Snape's inner voice, and despite being written in 3rd person, the author manages to bring Sev into each and every sentence. The author slowly unravels Sev's childhood, family, relationship with Lily in a peek-a-boo style by tying it all to how it is affecting the way things unravel with Ted. As a result, what we learn of Sev seems a natural progression of what happens, as opposed to an info dump. This is honestly so engaging, and keeps me on my toes to find out Sev's past and present at the same time. Being a muggle AU, it's also fun to see well known (and well loved) characters make a cameo once in a while. 

The writing style is absolutely phenomenal. The author balances Sev's unique voice while occasionally breaking that fourth wall to engage the readers. It all works together so well, I urge you all go to check it out. 

A pairing quite unlikely in the HP universe (but not so unlikely because imagination has no limits and all that), in this muggle AU world they are truly made for each other
