ineffable_season Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Welp, now that we have learned we are only getting 90 minutes of Good Omens S3 (I'm ok, really I am except I'm not, why did Neil Gaiman have to be one of the bad ones, why couldn't he be a good one) the urge to dive deep into GO fanfiction is even stronger now. Does this increase the likelihood that I complete Come Fly With Me? I think so! The plan for me was always to get to Ch 17 by the end of 2024. You know, beat up that murky middle, and show it that I'm far stronger than it! Sooo maybe the plan should be to get decent first drafts of chapters 14-17 this month. November is certainly going to be a busy month for me socially (get a divorce, find a social life, like really, this is how it works?), so I honestly have no idea how this will work out. But I have a plan for these chapters, so I'm hopeful I can just sit down and hash out all the words to make this happen! Anyway, for those of you who are new here, Come Fly With Me, is my AziraCrow Human AU with flight attendant, Aziraphale and architect, Crowley. Aziraphale lives in NYC. Crowley lives in London. They meet at a bar after sharing a flight. Then they meet again nearly a month later, wholly by chance, after sharing the same flight. Though this second time around it's a little AWK for REASONS that are explained in flashbacks in the first nine chapters. I have given this one the trope of "slow burn, but they bang the whole time." There are also some pretty heavy themes in this one: PTSD from being with a narcissist, abandonment issues, dead parents, etc. I have written so much of myself into these characters, I hope they remain recognizable. But if not, I am using this story as a coping mechanism for how S2 ended and how little of a S3 we are going to now get. And I shan't apologize that this is my version of therapy lol. As always, I'll be here to cheer you all on and check out your projects! Happy writing friends! Courtney 3 Quote

ineffable_season Posted November 17, 2024 Author Posted November 17, 2024 Writing has been minimal this month. I sort of expected that, what with the plans I made. That and today, my brain decided to insert another chapter between 13 and 14. I think it's probably necessary, but you never know when you're drafting. Also, random musings...does anyone else find internal conflict harder than external? I'm having a bear of a time connecting dots here with my cherries. I KNOW what their insecurities are. It's just getting the how to exploit them and create the conflict part that I'm struggling with. Anyway, we're over halfway through the month my dears! I do hope you're all having fun, no matter what you've decided to do! Have an angel for encouragement 2 Quote

But yeah, executing all of this is Hard. I will be happy to throw things against the wall with you if you need a buddy! On 11/17/2024 at 4:52 PM, ineffable_season said: Writing has been Yes.
