blackballet Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 How it works: This thread is for you to nominate your favorite stories to be recognized as the FFT Story of the Month. Seconding isn't necessary, as all stories will move on to the voting round. Approximately 10 days after the nominations thread is posted, a Community Coordinator will post a voting poll for all of the stories that have been nominated. Don't worry about having to rush - you will have about 10 days to read the stories and vote for your favorite! Winners will be featured on the forums and archives. Please post your nominations in this thread using the following format: Title: Author: Link to Story: Warnings [if applicable]: Reason for Nomination [optional]: Rules for Nomination: 1. Felpata_Lupin Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Title: Sinking Recollections Author: thankyouverymatcha @ImaRavenclaw Link to Story: AO3 Warnings [if applicable]: none Reason for Nomination [optional]: when Pix first posted her very original "kitchen sink challenge", I had no idea how you could make a sink a central focus of a story... Lily not only nailed the prompt, but she weaved such a sweet, deep, emotionally impactful tale, full of both sadness and fluff. Cedric and Oliver are so real and their bond and the way one support the other through an incredibly rough situation is so touching. You will be rooting for this couple and you will smile at their happiest memories, and rejoice in the Christmassy atmosphere. The writing is also incredibly strong and super detailed and descriptive without slowing the flow. A beautifully crafted fic that I can't recommend enough! 1 2 1
