MegGonagall
January SotM Voting Round! This month we have two wonderful nominees for the Story of the Month! Title: Hamartia Author: sapphicsunrise Link(s) to story With Rating: M Warnings (if applicable): Violence Why do you think this story deserves to be nominated?: The summary is genius: hamartia (αμαρτία) - a fatal flaw || (a morbid longing for the picturesque at all costs) Many talk of the teenagers who were forced into the ranks of the Death Eaters during the Second Wizarding War. None talk of those who went willingly. And it really only gets better from there. It's got everything - a complex take on what it means to be a Slytherin, family toxicity and dysfunction, blood status dynamics, and the backdrop of a war. This is such an amazing story. Title: Liar Author: Felpata_Lupin Link(s) to story With Rating: rated M Warnings (if applicable): sexual content, violence Why do you think this story deserves to be nominated?: There is so much good in this story. Not only is the pairing incredibly unique (Peter/Remus), but the writing is so wonderful. This story actually makes me feel for Peter Pettigrew as a human being, yet the characterization is still on point to make it realistic. The author also goes through significant chunks of time in each chapter (which usually span a few months) and doesn't miss a beat. The dialogue is great, the relationship is tragic but you can't help but root for it; overall it's definitely a must-read. Voting will be open until January 28th!
