April Story of the Month Nominations

How it works:

This thread is for you to nominate your favorite stories to be recognized as the HPFT Story of the Month. If a story that you love has already been nominated, you may second or third that nomination.

Mid month, a prefect will post a voting poll with the stories that received the most votes. Don't worry about having to rush. You'll have about 10 days to read the stories and vote on your favorite!

We will announce the winner on the first of the month. The winner will receive a cool prize!

Please post your nominations in this thread using the following format:

Title:
Author:
Link(s) to story With Rating:
Warnings (if applicable):
Why do you think this story deserves to be nominated?:

Rules for nomination:

1. All stories that have been nominated must have been updated sometime since March 2016.

2. Stories can be any genre, character type, fandom, or length.

3. No NC-17 rated stories.

4. Any story nominated must follow site guidelines.

5. Stories can be posted on HPFT, AO3, FF.net, or HPFF.

6. You may only nominate one story. If you second or third another nomination, that counts as your nomination.

7. Stories do not have to be complete to be nominated. WIPs are acceptable.

8. While there are lots of lovely authors out there, we'd like to focus specifically on the ones who belong to HPFT, so try to double check that the person you nominate has an account here.

Nominations will close on March 14th, 2017 at 11:59pm GMT

Title: Absolution

Author: Rhaenyra

Link(s) to story With Rating: M

Warnings (if applicable): Sexual Content

Why do you think this story deserves to be nominated?: Not only has Rhaenyra done an insane amount of research that makes the story so detailed it also gives it some amazing descriptions. The use of OC characters are seamlessly incorporated into a real life event, and although the ending is well-known, the story is still interesting and Rhaenyra puts her own unique spin on this event. An amazingly written story that everyone should read! :)

Title: To Whom It May Concern

Author: clairevergreen

Link(s) to story With Rating: (M)

Warnings (if applicable): None

Why do you think this story deserves to be nominated?: The best stories are the ones with a main character the reader can relate to and Ivy Westover is one of those characters. This story has barely begun, but Claire has created a next-gen story full of characters I feel like I've been reading about for ages. Her use of description is on point from the stacks of magazines in Ivy's flat to the owls who don't know Wesley from Westover and the end of her chapters leave you wondering what happens next.
