For any of you who may be new to our community, the FROGS are HPFT's annual site-wide awards, recognizing excellence in writing and reviewing throughout the previous year. You'll have the opportunity to nominate your favorite stories, read those that wind up as finalists, and vote to bestow the honors - declaring our recipients the best of the best! Those who participated in the madness of our Magical Menagerie Review Event will be able to put your hard work to good use when helping make these tough decisions! SCHEDULING This year, we've made an adaptation to the schedule to allow our members more time to read finalists before casting their votes. Reading all finalists before voting is something that we definitely encourage here on the site. Nominations will take place from 4 February through 13 February 2019. The deadline for submitting any nominations is 11:59 PM PST (GMT -8:00). Reading Weeks will run after our finalists qualify through the nomination process. Take your time and enjoy from 14 February to 24 February 2019. While nobody is going to stop you reading, Voting commences on 25 February 2019 and runs through 4 March 2019. Our voting deadline is 11:59 PM EST (GMT -8:00). THE CATEGORIES 2019 will use fifteen (15) categories. Some will be familiar, others are new or revisited. We hope you'll enjoy each of them! Best Reviewer Most Versatile Author Best Angst/Drama Best Humor Best Original Fiction ("OF") Best Non-HP Fandom Best Short-Form Romance Less than 10,000 words Best Long-Form Romance 10,000 words or more Best Family Best Friendship Best Original Character ("OC") Best Minor Character (HP) Best Poem or Drabble Best Dialogue Most Original Story We thank you for your passionate participation!
