Title: The Baby in the Closet
Author: @Oregonian
Link to Story: Click! (M)
Warnings [if applicable]: Domestic Abuse
Reason for Nomination: Vicki took on a tough topic in this story--how the abuse Harry suffered as a child would affect him as he prepares to become a parent himself. Her characterization of all the characters--particularly Mrs. Figg and Arthur Weasley was wonderful. Get a box of tissues though--I cried through the last three chapters.

Title: The Other Side
Author: verses
Link to Story: Here+
Warnings [if applicable]: Consent Issues (Mild/Moderate), Derogatory Language, Eating Disorders, Sexual Content, Substance Abuse, Violence
Reason for Nomination: It's a really well-written, really honest teen, school-based, coming-of-age fic about a girl discovering herself and her sexuality. Verses shows off teen drama in school in all of its cruel, technicolour glory, and it's so perfectly written - from the vocabulary to the characterisation, it all sounds so genuinely about teens. It's a real slice of life and I love it - it makes me nostalgic a bit and it just pulls you in completely.

Title: 9.9 Out of 10, Highly Recommend
Author: @ShadowRose
Link to Story: click++
Warnings [if applicable]: Hate Speech, Sexual Content, Substance Abuse
Reason for Nomination: i've been swapping with taylor and reading this jily fic and it's adorably fluffy. it's a b99 meets 'how to lose a guy in ten days' so it's a modern muggle AU (at least i think that's what they're called) and it's hilarious! i haven't watched b99 or how to lose... and yet it doesn't take away from the story at all. taylor has even managed to incorporate lots of small canon stuff we know from the HP books in this but with a twist (don't want to spoil it for anyone so you'll have to read it :P). the chemistry between james and lily is so obvious and wonderfully written *_* also, james talks to his cat. so there's that. i love that.
