Hello there!

Welcome to my rambly space that is my Novel Nest where I (try to) discuss written projects that I want and need to get done and or at least work on since I haven't been writing for months due to many events in my life happening.  July, however,  seems like a really good month to try and get back into the swing of things as far as writing goes so here I am with my attempt to dive into the world of stories and you can find them all below this.  Additionally, I also separated them by two different types of story that I'm writing so people won't get confused by the incoherent wordiness of this post and decided to color the text for the projects I'm working on because I'm a huge fan of the variety of colors. ?  I hope that you enjoy reading this Novel Nest and if you have any comments, encouragement, and or questions, feel free to leave them and thank you for dropping by! :)

Fanfiction:

Come What May:

Summary:

As a fan of the much beloved Harry Potter series, Charlotte Seylor has always dreamed of finding herself relieving the wizarding world through her own eyes and befriending the characters from within yet has already made reluctant acceptance that her reality will never lead her to the Wizarding World.  One day, however,  she meets a mysterious figure who leaves her with a questionable package which includes a series of mysteries from the world that is claimed to be non-existent.

This fanfiction is something is in the works for a very long time as I have published this fanfiction all the way back in 2012 although the original planning started around 2010-2011 after multiple discussions with a few people and still hoping to have more with others,  a few changes that stemmed from a variety of issues I had with the main storyline when I looked over it, trying to work on researching things I have no clue about, and a huge decision to scrap many things including a few characters, story elements, and plotlines, and try for instead for a rewrite. In other words, this is a story that I have been wanting to share with not only my friends and family but also people within the Harry Potter community, for the longest time and not just because of the Harry Potter fan is one of the protagonists of this stories, no, it's also something I have been wanting to write in a way to contribute to the fandom and my love for the series.  It is one of the stories that will definitely have care and attention to since this is, in a way, a baby of mine or at least as far as fanfiction goes. I originally posted about 4 chapters posted up on Fanfiction. Net before I decided that not only I needed tons of editing but also more importantly: a rewrite as the story did seem very off and or made the fanfiction not exhilarating for me to write anymore. The story has and still be AU in a sense there will be a set of events that are either will be changed and or things may turn out quite differently yet I also hope that I am able to do the canon justice by making sure the characters sound like who they are in the books although that's one of the bigger challenges of actually writing this fanfiction hence why I admit that I am nervous to share this story with the world since I'm not always the greatest when it comes to genuinely capture them but I will definitely try and do my best with that.  Okay rambles aside, my goal for this particular fanfiction is to at least get some chapters written  (my goal is particularly around 5-10 for the start at the very least) and edited once I'm done working on the draft so I can post them onto here. I won't say when I want to post onto here.

Original Fiction:

The Light of Eight (working title)

The most expansive of all my stories combined together and I honestly feel the worldbuilding in this one is the biggest that I will ever put into anything written by me. This story has been on and off for me yet it's also the longest one I worked on since I thought about this novel dating back to my elementary school years but didn't work on this until around the time I was graduating middle school.  I was mainly inspired by five other series that impacted, influenced, and or inspired me: Harry Potter, Digimon: Digital Monsters, Chronicles of Narnia, Kingdom Hearts, and Star Wars.  It features two protagonists and a few other characters who go on a journey to defeat a greater evil that comes to plague their world.  I know that's not very much to go on but this is one of the biggest writing projects that I have been hoping and or wanting to really work on as I have years of writer's block and slump and it's about time that I try and get back with it.  To be honest, I'm actually more excited to work on this slightly more than my Harry Potter fanfiction so that's why if I can't think or do anything for Come What May then I'll focus on this one for sure.  I won't be posting it on here since I really want to get this published officially yet it's a huge work in progress as there's been extensive planning I had to as well as research into this. Genre-wise, it's Fantasy and Sci-Fi but more emphasis on Fantasy since I'm better at writing that and the Sci-Fi is something of a challenge, not going to lie.

The Sept7:

Formerly known as the Unity of The Seventh, this story is about a group of teens who are celebrating the anniversary of their friendship where they all have found and bonded with each other on the seventh day of the seventh of the year.  The anniversary seems to be going well until a mysterious yet ominous plague comes about stripping about the world including the lives of many people living within it with exception of seven boys: James, Carlson, Brooke,  Nathan, Cadence, Rainer, and Justin who are left to ponder as to why and how they managed to escape this.  With many questions arising, the boys all go on a search for answers and clues to finding out how and why it started while also facing off against a new set of enemies who do everything to stop them from ever reaching their goals of finding the answers that could help them restore what they lost including severing the special bonds they all have with one another.

When Nothing Cried (working title):

A short story or one-shot series that focuses on a girl named Kelsie who loses both her friend and uncle within the short span of time and also mainly deals with grief and loss. I know it's very generic as far the story goes but I'm still working things out regarding this story so who knows where it'll be.  It's mainly something I always wanted to write not only to make sense of my own grief that I have gone through earlier this year with the deaths of one of my friends and uncle earlier this year but also something to write for myself.  I also may try and post it on here if and when I can and or do remember to as I would very much like to share this story.

Random One Shots and Short Stories:

I have plenty of one shots and or short stories involving the Sept7, Eight Novel series, and other original characters from multiple stories that I don't have on here and I have always wanted to challenge myself by writing short stories, drabbles, and or one shots.  These short stories are not always related to the main series that I'm writing especially if the Sept7 or 8 novel series yet I still think it would be fun to write something outside of the major plots I have for these characters as well as other characters that I haven't mentioned as one of my goals in writing is to make the characters I write not only memorable, developed, and or likeable but also in a way, relatable to others and or in a sense, help others feel either connected with them and or have fun with reading them as a person who likes imagination and characters, both go hand in hand for me if that even makes sense. That, and I'm just truly fascinated by characters in general as I have a tendency to like fictional characters in other media and have been inspired by constant reading of character appreciation threads, essays, and or things I have read about them and whatnot varying on the fandoms of course that I'm in although I have read some about characters I'm not into.

My word count goal is to get to at least a goal around 15,000-20,000 words since I find that is reasonable to do so as I also work and that usually drains me yet I want to keep at writing in spite of real life and work happening.  I also do hope that I am not only to reach that but I personally hope that I can just be able to sit down,  write anything I posted above, and or get a chapter or two done if it's a long story.  For short stories, one-shots, and or drabbles, I'm hoping to at least finish them and post them on here, other sites, and or submit them elsewhere if and when I can. If not publishing them, at least get a sense of accomplishment, because I haven't been able to do that for years and I really would like this year to be different for so many different personal reasons.  Okay I think I rambled enough and if you read all of this, then hey, hi,  thank you for listening, it is very much appreciated and you're awesome.  I'm also wishing the best of luck to all of you and your Nano goals as well! :D

Hi there pen-pal! I love that you have a lot of projects going at the same time. They all sound really interesting and I want to encourage you to work on them this month. You can do it!

I thought I'd drop off a graphic I made for inspiration:

The quote above is by Andy Warhol.

And I wanted to ask some questions about your projects ?

1. Do you find that writing one shots using your original characters and worlds helps you flesh out the longer novels? Have there been characters or situations that surprised you while you were writing the one shots?

2. What are three things you can tell us (without spoiling too much) about the worlds for the Sept7 and/or The Light of Eight?

3. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but I think that writing a story about it is a great way to help process and make sense of it. How old is Kelsie in the story? What were her favorite things to do with her uncle and/or her friend?

Finally, I wanted to leave you with another Neil Gaiman quote:

Hi there! Just leaving some questions.

1. You talk about how much world building you have to look forwards to with the Light of Eight story. How are you planning on keeping track of all of your world building notes? What parts of world building intimidate you the most? Which do you enjoy the most?

2. Your titles are very compelling! (and also feel like they have that whole dungeons and dragons quest vibe) How do you come up with them?

3. Do you prefer to write stand-alones or series?

4. How's NaNo going?

Happy JulNo!

Hello penpal/Noelle!

First off, sorry it took me forever to answer this as things have been quite hectic on my end and I haven't gotten a proper chance to sit down and really go through the questions and try to answer them articulately. ;w;   Oh, and thank you so much for the graphic/picspam and the quotes from Andy Warhol as well Neil Gaiman, I very much appreciate them since I actually have been needing them for writing motivation and encouragement.  I'm really glad that you also find my works to be interesting and am really happy and glad to hear of your encouragement! It really means alot to me and I mean it, it really does so thank you! :)

Also the graphics is really cool because they definitely inspire and or motivate me in a way as to say: "Hey, keep going! Here's your creative starter kit!" or something like that.  I really like some of Andy Warhol's work and honestly do concur with that quote that you have chosen as well since writing is definitely a form of art!

Thank you for the Neil Gaiman's Eight Rules of Writing as well since they're not only super helpful but I saved the picture in order to help me motivate and or at least try when I wasn't feeling up to writing since I admit that I have struggled immensely with self-doubts, anxiety, and other things when trying to do so. But it's not to say this hasn't helped me because it does! The last one is probably the one that sticks out to me the most because in a way, I need confidence and assurance although I lack in the former so I usually try to do so with more of assurance and or at least try to do so in that way.  That, and the part where it says: "So write your story as it needs to be written."  resonates with me the most considering that is what I struggle with the most as far as my own writing goes. So, for example, I can get started on something then hit a point in it that has me overthinking, doubting, and then in comes my perfectionist side trying to say, "Edit Mode!" before I can get it fully written, you know? I hope that makes sense! ;w;  But honestly thank you for those eight rules of writing. The last one will need to be consistent in my mind since that's all that should matter right now is not editing the story but getting it down on paper.  For me, editing has to come later and also the self doubts needs to go to so yeah. Thank you again for that wonderful Neil Gaiman quote! :)

And here the answers to your questions!

1.   This is a pretty lengthy answer but here you go! ;w;

Yes, I do find it helpful to write one shots (as well as short stories) using the original characters because I can see what situations or events that I should or should not put into the world that I’m trying to build in my story. I think one of the best ways to help understand the answer to that question is to actually think about these one shots and or short stories as differing ideas that either don’t seem to be important, work, and or would take away from the main storyline. I still, however, want to use the same characters because it’s too good of a story and or use of them in moments or situations to pass them up so it’s like an extended or deleted scenes in those bonus features of the movies you find on Bluray and DVD if I have to best describe it.  I also think they do help flesh out the novels in a way that I not only get rid of the unnecessary scenes but also help me write my characters and or see how they are faring by then in the story. There’s also plans for spinoffs of one or two series that I plan to write although it’s more like me trying to toy with the idea of what could and or should maybe happen. I’m more open with trying to write and share them since it’s like a character experiment and or test which I hope makes sense but that's one way I would describe it.  I think one of the best things about writing this is that you don’t have to know the actual canon and or the story of the main series to like the spin off or the differing story where these scenes came from, if that makes any sense? It’s like you can still learn about the character and or get to know them but without spoiling too much of what they do in the main series since it's supposed to be more of  adeleted scenes and or it’s scrapped off for reasons that it just didn’t fit in with the original story. I just don’t like to see the original characters whom I often try creating and or the ideas I have been consistently try to work on go completely to waste. This is a way to not only motivate me to keep going with the series. This, also, in an odd way, is one of the solutions to my writer’s block or the slumps I have when I can’t write the main series as well.  That, and or a side fun project that you work on until you can tackle your main ones.  I hope all of these made sense though! ;w;

Character situations, I’m trying to recall ones that I have but I guess I can talk about one that comes to mind. I remember that one of the one shots that I wrote about my character, Nathan who is part of the Sept7 series is very imaginative, child-like, and also kindhearted but putting him in a situation where he got wounded emotionally and mentally by a so-called friend and or had to go through the pain actually made him very intriguing yet somewhat a challenge to write because I want to have Nathan still be Nathan but also deal with the way he reacted which is different than how I initially wrote him. I wanted the character to drive the story so when I wrote him to be reacting in a way that would make sense to many, he was, however, also trying to drive the story and in the end, he won. So for example, I wanted him to scream and cry since I originally thought he was the person to do so but he was insisting that he bottles up his emotion and explodes later onwards and the latter was a much better idea because it made sense at the time not only regarding his character but the situation he was in. I think what surprised me about this is that he was vocal of all my characters and knew what he wanted as opposed to the other characters where I would somehow have to prod in my mind or really try and communicate with them or write and see where that takes me. I hope that makes sense? Also by this, I mean when your character and you are speaking in your own mind the way that most writers do if that makes sense? Yeah, so that’s one example.

Another one example was when I writing Come What May was that I originally wanted Charlotte to have a love interest at first since I thought it would be very fun idea to go with. However, that didn’t go so well considering that when I had wrote the romantic scenes that I tried to put her in with another original character and or a Harry Potter character (who was not a major character but a minor character) somehow never seemed to work out the way I wanted to. I was very surprised at the turn of events at first but now as I am rewriting the fanfiction, it’s more complicated and looking back at it, I don’t think it would have made sense for her to even be in one since it even felt out of place and definitely would seem evidently forced. This may seem like a huge spoiler but it shouldn’t be as I wanted romance in Come What May and while it’s not going to be with Charlotte, it doesn’t mean it can’t happen with other characters. I still think it’s worth mentioning since that is definitely a huge change for me and my character.

2. Oh gosh, I want to share many things in all honesty but that's never a great idea so I had to think about this but here's what I can share with you about these stories.

The Sept7:

 1. The Sept7’s world is much like our world but there’s also times you’ll get a sense that it’s not our world if that makes sense? It has inspirations and or things from our world, yes, but also things that you would be genuinely wondering how they don’t exist here and or it makes you feel that you’re questioning the location of the world even if there’s places that is going to sound like Anywhere, USA that you may have seen and or read about in other media.

2.  There’s a new transportation that is a blend of monorail, trolley, and a bus. It’s a very unique way to get around in the city that many of the characters live in.

3.  There’s a three story music shop in the small city where one of the characters goes for his music lessons and is owned by his aunt and uncle who are heavily into music which is rumored to have a mythology involve and or surrounding it so that’s been cool to write.

The Light of Eight:

1. The story does not take place on Earth, however, there will be special quests and or missions to go there. But that is all.

2.  Adding onto the last answer, I will say that this planet is closed off to Earth so anybody who is trying to come to this planet will not be able to get in unless they figure out the three ways of getting in.  As for those ways of getting in, that's something that I can't say and you will just have to find out!

3.  The main antagonist hates rich people and one of his biggest goals is to annihilate their existence.

Also I think I gave you 3 answers for both but I hope those answers work for your question! xD

3.  Ahhh thank you so much for your kind words and I'm glad that you agree and think so as well.  As for Kelsie, she is actually in her mid twenties who attends college ad also has a part-time job. I can't say anything about her friend other than they weren't as close as they used to be so in a way, they never hung out but she still has memories about him because she still communicated with him via social media and phone calls but I will say her favorite memories with her uncle was watching movies and talking about her artwork and writing since he would always see her doing that. They would also eat junk food together and have fun conversations too.

Happy Jul Nano to you and hope that yours is going well too! Thank you so much again for the inspirational and motivating graphic, awesome questions, and the Neil Gaiman quote! Much appreciated! ;w;

Hey there! @crowsb4bros, thank you for stopping by this Novel Nest,  very much is appreciated.  Onward to answering your questions! :D

1. You talk about how much world building you have to look forwards to with the Light of Eight story. How are you planning on keeping track of all of your world building notes? What parts of world building intimidate you the most? Which do you enjoy the most?

Ooh this is a really interesting question so thank you for it! I actually have tons of notebook, word documents, and or this wonderful storage in the memory in the depths of my mind that stores all of this world building stuff which is actually hard for many to believe especially the latter but trust me, there's a lot that I'm able to keep and remember. If I don't, I just have the notebooks that I rely on to help me with it as well as the word documents and or notes that I keep on my phone but overall, I try to keep it storage within my brain and or at least memorize what I can.  Honestly the notebooks and or word documents I have for keeping it planned are mainly my best friend though when it comes to that. xD

The hardest part about world building for me  is anything that involves politics and government because I struggle with discussing these topics in general and at times, if it’s not explained thoroughly, comprehending them. I admit that while I’m not always largely into politics, it doesn’t mean that I don’t pay attention to it, and with this story, I want and have to be able to not just understand how the political climate works but also be able to incorporate it in the Light of Eight in a way that makes sense considering the story is not mainly on Earth and I want my readers to get a sense of that.  There are numerous things in the novel that would say, not be existent, as far as politics go in real life, if that makes sense? The struggle with writing that is to make sure that I can not only understand political stuff but also be able to incorporate ones that are essential to this novel in here as well write one and also being able to have the reader understand why the political climate is not the same in spite of it having various places in the story having either monarchy or democracy as an example. I also should mention that since The Light Of Eight has Sci-Fi in it so the worldbuilding with anything science is going to be a challenge for me as it is not something I excel at and often boggles my mind at times. Sure, I know a few things about it but not enough to really be sure to write a scene that’s not going to plausible if it needs to be.  I am definitely going to need to not only look into more scientific facts but also see how that plays into the story not only for the environment and atmosphere of the story itself but also the characters and how it plays in a way. So, for example, a character is in a warehouse that is on fire and the fire is not one where is normally put out by water and I need to know other alternatives as to how to put out as well as what kind of fire is it in order to not only put it out but also for this scene with the characters to do so and work out in general. I think knowing something like that is still crucial because it helps you evaluate the situation you’re writing and how the characters face that situation as well and it’s still part of the world because it deals with not only this universe but also the way they would deal with extinguishing fire. Sure, it's fiction and often times, it's not supposed to be plausible but in some cases like this, yeah, it's supposed to be since you're putting out a fire and the characters are trying to reach safety and or end it.

I actually like worldbuilding in sense when it's about food and or fashion since those are not just easy to write but also I can actually just think about it without feeling self conscious about it because I like talking about food so it's easy for me to try and figure out what food to depict in a scene and or coming up with fashion ideas even though I'm actually not very good with fashion and beauty in real life so I have to research on that but still very fun to work with since I actually doodle with characters with outfits apart from just writing and envisioning them.  I also like coming up with the magical aspects of the world since I have already written some laws and or the uses of it since that’s fun.

2. Your titles are very compelling! (and also feel like they have that whole dungeons and dragons quest vibe) How do you come up with them?

Thank you so much! I’m glad you think so! ;w;  (Also I haven’t played Dungeons and Dragons in awhile but I think I can understand what you mean so yay?! xD) Sometimes it’s really hard to come up with them so I honestly to contemplate about my story and see what words I should mix and or match in order to find one or two that would be fitting but also have to try and remember that it’s supposed to be eye catching or appealing in the sense that it gets people curious about it at the end of the day since that’s my goal with my title: to intrigue curious and new readers. xD

3. Do you prefer to write stand-alones or series?

I honestly will say that both are wonderful in their own way and am trying to write both but in all honesty, I’m going to say that I prefer to writing a series to standalones because it feels like crafting a very lengthy timeline with numerous of colorful characters at the forefront and the challenge that it brings is that you have to make sure each story are connected together in spite of it being in different books. I think of it like a television show because that’s what it reminds me of. I love being able to expand on the worlds that I write for my characters to also finding out more about them and what happens. I mean a standalone is great for stories, don’t get me wrong, and it’s easier to write since you don’t have to worry about continuation of a plot and or character.  That, and you only have one book to worry about instead of five, seven, and or ten books. I, however, will say that I prefer to write a series more because despite having the author be consistent with keeping the main characters and plot, it feels like this long journey that you’re about to embark and while I haven’t reached any of the ending for my series of novels yet, I still hope to one day because I know that it will all be worth it.

4. How's NaNo going?

In all honesty,  I will say that while I’m still trying to reach my goal, it has been mainly not the greatest as I have been dealing with distractions from construction workers working on the roof and siding of my house, work, and also a little show called Stranger Things but I also have had it not only be just distractions but also that wonderful friend called self doubt come visit me often and or more than I would like them to so that’s been really fun but I’m still fighting and charging my way in spite of it.  I had to read an article about inspiration was not only the way to go about writing and actually learned a few things that I needed to realize for myself in a way or can relate to what the article was saying. I also have been consistently have been trying to read other books and or fanfictions in order to help me get back into writing which does sound odd since yes, I would plunge into it if I like the story which is often true but when I read something, it gives me the motivation to write. (This is why sometimes I seem to struggle with Reading Goals but I digress xD)Now that’s not to say that I haven’t gotten any writing done, I have and am still charging towards my goal. The only difference is that I learned to turn off the distractions that I don’t need at the time (i.e. Netflix, my main not HPFT Twitter, Youtube, and forth) and or am doing my best to keep pushing through my self doubts and not let it get to me.  I am hoping that I will still be able to make it to my own writing goal though.

Thank you so much for all these questions! I hope that Nano is going well for you as well! :)

Hello there!

Also: welcome to my Nano Nest!

Okay not the greatest start but I'm not sure how to actually start this in all honesty. Anyway, this is definitely a last minute addition or close it since I would like to mention that I was initially hesitant to partake in this year's Nano due to having so much going on within the next month and wasn't sure if I should commit to taking some time to sitting down and writing especially with having to deal 6 days of work in a row near the beginning of the month,  a baby shower, and some other things that I want to keep up with, but despite that, I decided that I haven’t written in a long while and that I would like to get back into it. Well that, and I talked to a few people about it as well, so here I am with another Nano Nest for my second or third (keep forgetting) NanoWriMo. I would like to point out that, however, unlike the usual 50k word count goal that many have and or aimed for this month,I decided to be a Nano rebel and instead go for 10k words per day instead as it is doable for me for the time being. I also should mention that apart from that word count goal in mind, I also have a personal goal and that is to combat my perfectionist side as well as my self doubts as they been obstacles consistently throughout. In spite of it, I truly have the strongest ambition to write so I can at least be pleased with having words on a page or at least a draft hopefully finished.

With that being said, let’s move on to the projects, shall we?

NOVELS:

Chimera's Light (working title):

In a far away kingdom of Moonstream, where the moonlight is the guiding light for its inhabitants, resides a quiet yet imaginative and kindhearted boy named Kit who desires nothing more than doing his best to care for his younger sister,  Daffodil as she struggles with an incurable disease that is rare and wants to venture to a mythical and elusive portal called Chimera's Light  instead of having to deal with the upcoming arranged marriage ritual that he immensely dreads and has been guilt tripped into participating by his authorative parents. Not wanting to have to always succumb to their wants and doing something for himself,  Kit and his four best friends: Mayner,  Aristhan,  Elidyn, and Tycian all embark on a journey towards Chimera's Light. Their journey, however, is a long and perilous one as they must face obstacles including but not limited to:  dealing with a musical survival show that forces them to participate or they will face severe consequences for denying their entry for taking it,  a dragon king who demands travelers play a game of heart and soul and if they win, they will gain materials and riches that will help them towards journey but if they lose, they must be his servant for years to come,  and they must face a deadly enemy who is trying to prevent them from reaching the kingdom by throwing deadly creatures at them or lead them to situations that have them running for their lives.  Despite these incoming obstacles, Kit and his friends continue to press on as they are determined to reach Chimera's Light or die trying.

Light of Eight:

The working title for my eight novel series that I'm currently trying to work on and has been my long term goal and project.  It is a Sci/Fi and Fantasy and it features two protagonists along with their six friends must go around their world to gather about several missing warriors,   obtain different kinds of objects, and collect pages of a magical book that is said to be filled with myths, and do so in order to help protect their world from an incoming plague set by a group of villains that have intruded their planet.   So yeah,  I found a rough draft of about up to ten or eleven chapters that I had sent to a real life friend back in high school and decided that I wanted to keep going with it.  That, and maybe just keep writing from those drafts along with the plans I have formed. I just have to remind myself that any editing will have to come later as well.  I'm still very much focused on trying to get this story done.

SHORT STORIES:

When Nothing Cried:

Kelsie's life may not be the most extravagant or filled with a lifetime of adventures as many of the friends, strangers, and celebrities that she sees on her Instagram feed, yet she always tries to count the little blessings in her life.   She, after all, is close to reaching the monetary goal to getting a video game system that's been eyeing for months,  has a driver's license that she can use to enjoy her visits to that one smoothie place that she loves, and of course, there's the fact that she's gotten tickets to see one of her favorite KPOP acts after waiting for hours online. Things, however, take a turn for the worst suddenly when the news of her uncle surfaces causing Kelsie to be shocked yet devastated by this. As the days goes by, Kelsie soon finds herself struggling to properly react to his death which also in turns causes her to question everything she's thought she's ever known about not only her uncle but also herself.

Pinwheel Days:

All he wanted to do was to lie on the soft mattress not caring in the world of his troubles but instead a simple yet colorful pinwheel had to bring him back to a time in the past that he longed to eradicate from his own memories.

Agenda: Mistrose (working title):

I can't really give too much away but I will say that it's about four students who enter a contest to see an author and visit the movie set of a book series they love being made and the bonds they create along the way as the contest bonds them together.  I actually enjoy writing the characters or at least creating them as well so far.

FANFICTION:

Come What May:  (Harry Potter fanfiction):

As a fan of the much beloved Harry Potter series, Charlotte Seylor has always dreamed of finding herself relieving the wizarding world through her own eyes and befriending the characters from within yet has already made reluctant acceptance that her reality will never lead her to the Wizarding World.  One day, however,  she meets a mysterious figure who leaves her with a questionable package which includes a series of mysteries from the world that is claimed to be non-existent.

I only will say that I have still plans to keep on working on this as it's still a long term goal of mine to have finish a few chapters and hopefully publish it within the archives. ;w;

A Roar Of Time (Pokemon fanfiction):

This is a one shot fanfiction that I may be posting on A03 but still going to still post about it here since it's been on my mind since Camp Nano ended.  This particular story is second person as the premise is that it is about you (since in the main game series, the player character is actually you) and the fun part is that this story involves a legendary Pokemon in one of my favorite regions as well: Sinnoh!  It also has a storyline of its own that is not from the games but more so, inspired by it!

Reading this nest, and I'm sitting here like "is this me?!?!" I am in a very similar place to you - trying to just get words on the page after a very long time. And like you, I am trying to ignore my perfectionist tendencies and just write. So far, I must say, I am quite enjoying it. It is very freeing. One week in, how are things going for you? What stories have you been working on?

A more fic-specific question: your two main OF novels. What are the inspirations and sources for your worlds?

I apologize this is a super late response to this and NanoWriMo is over but I still wanted to take some time to answer your questions! ;w;   I do want to mention that first that while I'm glad that you can understand and relate but also sorry that you have to go through this as well! It's really no fun at times but I'm really glad that you're enjoying it and I can understand what you mean about it being freeing! ;w;

In all honesty, I was going to work on the multiple of stories but only worked on Chimera's Light because I have had so much inspiration and motivation from the playlist that I had and some other things as well so I was able to continue it even though I was only writing mainly scenes little by little and failing to word things properly even though I know that I can read it over and edit once it was done.  I admit that a few days into the month that my progress was very little or halted due to other things like distractions of a video game that I wanted releasing and me watching gameplay videos and or streams of it on Youtube and or Twitch. Another reason is that I also had been struggling with depression and insomnia so I wasn't write as much as I hoped.  Some days, I admit that I didn't get to write because I was overwhelmed by work and or other things and wanted to take a day to relax.  I did end up passing at least two goals though.  I also only wrote a short portion of my Pokemon fanfiction as this Pokemon fanfiction that was based off the Galar region otherwise I never ended up working with my other projects which is odd.  I'm hoping that in spite of that, I still can continue writing those two things I mentioned as well as my other works afterwards since this NanoWriMo has in a way helped me get back into writing and or at least get to actually doing some writing if that makes sense? I also passed 20k for Chimera's Light so that's good I guess. ;w;  It was still a good NanoWriMo in spite of set backs because I did and or was able to push myself to write but I'm hoping to keep on doing so especially when I don't want to write unless I need a break for health of course.  That aside, I hope that your NanoWriMo went alot better than mine and you got what you wanted as well as the word count or any other types of goals achieved!

The inspiration for Chimera's Light is that I was recall was a combination of thinking about a Princess originally forced to marry but I switched it up to a Prince as I thought that would be fun but as time went by, I didn't want to do a royal marriage and instead one of a commoner who lives in this community type of thing in a fantastical and mysterious kingdom where the rituals and the way of the world would be different than what we often read about but also still being able to relate the character to the readers so instead of a Prince, I made him, a commoner. The plot details, however, was hard because I wasn't sure what the main story was going to be about even though I had an idea and for awhile, I ran with this idea this commoner.   However,  I think when I wrote this story, the idea just expanded, and now it's more different than how it originally was  as I tried to combine the idea of what the goals would be.  This is going to get pretty lengthy so I will just try and summarize by saying that a combination of a person feeling trapped into a marriage and they're scared of rituals because my mind went to that for some reason,  going on a journey for their family, friends, and or loved one, and the idea of friendship going on a journey that would take place in fictitious realm like Lord of The Rings all helped me weave this story together and hence the inspiration for this story came.  Some of the events in the story are inspired by also The Hunger Games and some Korean survival shows/musical reality shows. Oh, and the fact that I was dealing with a very slow day at work helped me think about this as well hahaha. As for The Light of Eight, I got inspired by watching, playing, and or reading things I like so I'll list the things that helped me inspire for the series and they are: Star Wars (partially),  Kingdom Hears, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, A Neverending Story,  Pokemon,  Final Fantasy,  Cardcaptor Sakura, and Code Geass! I felt that some of Legend of Mana's music also inspired and helped me with the series too. ;w;

The worlds for both original fiction was inspired from that of the video games I played such as Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon but also some Final Fantasy as well as seeing bits of Legend of Mana as well as the music.  They have vibrant, colorful, and expanded worlds in those games that I mentioned.  I also inspired by Harry Potter too especially The Light of Eight.   The Light of Eight has inspiration that may seem to be similarities with the Wizarding World.   For example,  the school is magical and humongous like Hogwarts, yes,  but I do have major differences too like the school that my protagonists go to isn't a castle. I think that's one I can give you without it being too spoiler-y or give the story away.  I feel the inspiration for the worlds mainly come from me reading various of books, some manga, and or watching anime and or seeing video games and trying to find aspects of it and what it has and doesn't have and then also think about the combination of the real and or fictional world and then putting them in this separate list in my head and then separating them and forming ideas if that makes sense.  I hope that makes sense? But yeah, I feel my inspirations come from mostly the media and sometimes just seeing real life stuff and just trying to make it more imagination-based and less plausible as well as more pertaining to something that would sound amazing on paper but something we don't see or would have in the real world.   I don't know how to explain it but my brain just likes to do more with the imagination that sense, I guess?

As for Moonstream (the working title world name) for Chimera's Light is inspired also inspired by nighttime, moon, and seeing Christmas lights and night and thinking about a place with perpetual darkness. I know there may be a story like this or something with this but I feel that I can still make the world I write more expansive but I digress. Just think about the moon and festivities happening at night and that's pretty much inspiration for that specific world. xD

That all said, I hope this helps answers your question somewhat about the worlds as well as the story inspiration and the sources for it! ;w;

Hi hi, Anni! I have some questions for you!

1. Looking through your WJ so far, it looks like you've thought of so many in-depth, ambitious story ideas -- I'm so envious! Currently, what is the story you are most focused on, and why? How much of it have you drafted?

2. You mentioned listening to a playlist! Do you make writing playlists for every story you work on? Could you give examples of some songs that you associate with a particular project?

3. What is your writing process like? Are you a planner or a winging-it-er? :P

4. Will we see any of your OF pieces on the archives? I would love to read some of your longer works!

5. All your short stories sound amazing and sweet and touching and sad. In particular, I'm fond of the pinwheel story's idea. How do you come up with such a lovely concept? What inspires you?

Hello guys!

It's the first day of Camp NanoWriMo and I'm finally submitting a Novel Nest but anyway: welcome to my Novel Nest!  I will admit that I wasn't sure about partaking in Camp NanoWriMo this month at first  but thing is,  I honestly have been somewhat motivated to go back to doing something that not only needs improvement but also something that I truly enjoy doing and that is writing.  Also it's my dream so there's also that as well.   I plan to, however, take it easy by not only limiting my word count to a maximum that would be easier for me to reach by the end of month, omiitting stories that I would put on hold due to lack of interest, needing extensive research, and or putting other stories on a indefinite hiatus or on hold for other various of reasons which I won't get into at the moment.  The word count this time around will be somewhere around 5k-10k, or something like that. The maximum word count would probably be around 20k but we'll see although I can't make any promises on going any higher than that. This year will ionce again include a various of works because honestly I'm so indecisive and can't truly stick with just one project to work on but will actually be trying to work on projects that I'm either wanting to invest my time in and not randomly just winging it as I normally have done with exception of short stories. I had to sort out the different stories, novels, fanfictions, and other written projects that I wanted to write before posting this seeing as there's  many projects that I want to work on but need to take it one at a time. Admittedly there's been a matter on my end of having to face through obstacles in the way of me doing actual writing which includes but not limited to: grief, (dealing with it) quarantine (and it affecting my depression heavily), and severe anemia as well as sometimes, just the stress from work, real life pressures, and many other things. I also have had to deal with perfectionism, self doubts, and feeling highly discouraged.  In spite of it all,  I'm trying to pick myself up and keep going towards my dream seeing as I still have my own goals and want to keep writing.

This may also come off cheesy and strange to many but, I was actually motivated by a few of my favorite groups and or musicians who struggled with their dreams in differing ways yet just watching, hearing, and or listening about how they went about with obtaining their dream not only had me deeply inspired but also  left me feeling  motivated and encouraged by the fact they kept going. It definitely lead me to think deeply about wanting to continue my dream as a writer.  It's also because of them that I feel that I'm more feeling to get back on track with writing and even if I struggle with the words then so be it.  I'm not letting anything stop me or at least not this time around.

NOVELS:

The Light of Eight:

This novel features two protagonists and a villain who hates money and greedy rich people and has plans far more than simply just being power hungry and or out for revenge.  It's definitely going to be action packed, imagination filled, and of course, very fantastical.  Honestly can't really say any more than that.  In regards to it,  my only hope and goal for this is that it'll be all worth it in the end since it's been in the planning stages since around early 2000s.   That, and it's very close to my heart than all my other novels combined.

Chimera's Light:

Continuing from the last time I worked on this which I think was sometime last year if my memory serves me correct,  this is a story about a boy named Kit who lives in a far away magical realm where the glowing moons reign called Lunaolone  (previously Moonstream) who goes with his four friends (Tycian, Aristan, Eliwyn,  and Mayner) on adventure to a mysterious portal known as Chimera's Light to retrieve a cure for his younger sister, Daffodil, who is suffering from a harmful and deadly disease but must go through obstacles include but not limited to: being forcefully pushed into entering  a reality competition show that is slightly deadly in spite of its fun and colorful musical appearance,  defending themselves against many vicious creatures who are out for their flesh and blood for means of torture or a feast, and battle against a sinister foe who is known as  "The Rattler" that will constantly try and stop Kit and his friends for reasons yet to be known other than it involves a series of events that can lead to destruction of not only Kit's home world of Lunaolone but other lands nearby as well.

Honestly ever since this was planned,  I still have plans to continue seeing Kit has been one of the few main characters that I actually really enjoy writing in spite of our differences in situations and personalities as well  as well as being able to explore his world is kind of interesting even if I'm not  always going to be a fan of the monsters that are out to get him and his friends while they're on their journey.  But they're visible in my mind in scenes. Also let's be honest the reality show aspect is going to be a highly intriguing and fun part of it. (Also will admit by saying the part where they go through the reality competition show is based on my guilty pleasure of watching a few different Produce 101 seasons in various Asian countries--Japan's my favorite thus far,  as well as America's Got Talent, The Voice, and when I was younger: American Idol). I still want to get at least a few chapters written during this time so there's also that.   I have made a few changes including the kingdom's name seeing as the new one is more suitable than the previous one as it was intended to be a placekeeper until I could think of a proper name for the kingdom where Kit grew up in,  also making the disease that Kit 's sister has is quite interesting although I may need to look into studying more about diseases in general for it to make sense to the readers, and while it's darker than I expected, there's still are going to be lighthearted and funny moments since I cannot have a dark story without lighthearted moments in there.

STORIES:

Note: These don't have a particular length just yet but aren't short stories or drabbles either but also not exactly novellas or novels either.

Inspired By Sender  (working title)

A more lighthearted, romantic comedy story about a girl named Skylar who is trying to write a scene for her new fantasy novel titled Myra's Lifelock  but instead getting a scene that she wants into her mind and instead manages to stumble into writer's block causing her to ponder as to how to continue it. Writer's Block isn't the only thing on her mind especially after dealing with the aftermath of accidentally spilling her drink on her long time crush whom she happens to stumble upon at the coffee shop that she frequents,  manages to upset one of her classmates during a heated debate in one of her classes at school, and along the way, of trying to get by her Sophomore year of high school, try not  to freak out after losing her notebook filled with her story ideas and maybe a few embarrassing secrets.  Despite this, things start to brighten up slightly when she receives messages  in forms of post-its, letters, and notes that are filled with encouraging, motivating, and positivity to the point she ponders if her the sender is either some type of creep who is able to construct words together in a charming way or a genuinely sweet person who is truly doing their best to help her.

This story actually stems not only my own writer's block as well as the common question of how to deal with writers' block as well.  There's also the fact that I love the idea of receiving letters and or notes from a secret admirer too. Well, as long as it's not from a creepy anonymous sender of course.  But yeah, anyway, this is one of my favorite projects that kind of differs from most of the novels I want to write since romance is more at the forefront in this one as well.

SHORT STORIES:

Pinwheel Days:

All he wanted to do was to lie on the soft mattress not caring in the world of his troubles but instead a simple yet colorful pinwheel had to bring him back to a time in the past that he longed to eradicate from his own memories.

This story was actually written after my friend whom I wasn't close to,  my uncle, and somebody who I learned to like and appreciate (even though I didn't know them personally) had all died and their news of the death affected me.  Of course, I've dealt with deaths and losses before yet 2019 was the year where it made me realize that I hadn't truly understand it the way that I thought I did.  This story is also my way of coming to terms of my own way of grieving seeing as everybody grieves differently. I also wanted to put some of my reactions to what happened in this story as well through Kelsie's character rather than write about my own feelings and thoughts directly at the time.  Still hoping to work on finishing it although it's been a slight struggle at times.

Random  Short Stories Prompts Collection

Any prompts that comes from a word,  quote,  a scene, and or any generator.  I'll definitely work on this when I'm not motivated to write a ton of words, it's a very busy day, or if I stumble on writer's block.  This is mostly to vent and rant my feelings and thoughts about various of topics that are on my mind and or one that would go with the prompt or whatever I'm in the mood for.   Best way to think about this is somebody doing random freestyle poetry about any subject/topic and so forth.  May post any if they turn out a okay but most won't be posted.  This is admittedly to not only help me to keep on writing but also for fun as well.

FANFICTIONS:

Harry Potter: Come What May:

As a fan of the much beloved Harry Potter series, Charlotte Seylor has always dreamed of finding herself relieving the wizarding world through her own eyes and befriending the characters from within yet has already made reluctant acceptance that her reality will never lead her to the Wizarding World.  One day, however,  she meets a mysterious figure who leaves her with a questionable package which includes a series of mysteries from the world that is claimed to be non-existent.

So I know this fanfiction seems like it's never going to be published with the way my writing pace has been going, but trust me,  I intend to keep working hard on this story in hopes of being able to get it into the archives eventually. The maximum goal that I want to be able to write for this fanfiction is about five chapters which shouldn't be too hard given if I completely ignore with trying to edit it during its drafting stages.  If I can write more than five chapters during this JulNano, then it'd be satisfying because, hey, progress, no?  With that said, here's to hoping that I somehow will be able to keep working on this because it's been forever on my To Write as well as To Post list.

Harry Potter: Emblem:

Truthfully I don't have a proper summary for this and currently am trying to work on it since it is still on its planning stages. It's about a girl named Marisa who is sorted into Slytherin and struggles to fit in due to the fact that she is not only fearful of snakes but entirely wishes the emblem was anything but that.  But snakes aren't the only thing she has to worry about as there's been a brewing evil that's been stirring within Hogwarts.  This is still one of the stories I'm figuring out and hoping to work with as I go along with writing it.  Should also mention that Marisa is a No Maj and is supposed to go to Ivermorny but instead is at Hogwarts due to some complications which is something I'm trying to figure out how to explain.  She is also in the same year as Albus and Scorpious. This  story also deviates away from the Cursed Child canon timeline for the most part as well.

Okay, that was quite a lot but that's it for  the projects that I plan to work on for this Camp  NanoWriMo,  if there's  any questions, comments, or anything else, please feel free to leave them below. Thank you for stopping by my Novel Nest! if you have too by the way, much appreciated! :)

Wow, you have a lot of projects lined up for Camp JulNo!!! I am very impressed, to be honest, that you’ve got so many cool, unique original fiction ideas bouncing around in your head and on your page. These novels and short stories sound like they’ll be fantastic when they’re finished and I can’t wait to see your progress on them this month!

I’m just here with a little motivation and good luck wishes to your writing this month and I hope to see some words have been written soon ;) You got this month!

omg these are so many cool ideas!!

I'm particularly intrigued by Inspired by Sender, I love the intertextuality and metafiction of it! I think it could be super fun to feature those writer's block scenes (and maybe a got way to work off frustrations if you ever get stuck on your other works :P)! I also love the secret notes and post-its aspect of it, especially that you've hinted that those notes/their writer might not necessarily be too trustworthy! If you think about it, receiving notes from an anonymous stranger definitely has a creepy vibe to it, but I don't think I've ever really seen that addressed, so I'd be super interested to her more about that!

I also have a few more general questions!

You said that a lot of your writing is inspired by your favourite bands and musicians, are there any songs/artists in particular that you connect to? Do you usually listen to music while you're writing?

Also, do you plan on posting any of your work? ^_^

Good Luck with JulNo ❤️

Hi!  You have so many exciting projects to work on that I couldn't resist stopping by with a few questions for you ^_^ (I also completely understand the wariness about trying to do NaNo when other ~life things are getting in the way, so please feel free to drop me a message if you're ever needing encouragement! ❤️ )

1. How do you find it managing multiple projects at once?  Do you tend to rotate between them (and fic/OF), or just write whatever you're inspired to at the time?
2. Similarly, you write in quite a few different genres - do you find it difficult to keep the different worlds straight in your head?
3. The Light of Eight sounds absolutely fascinating - can you tell me a bit more about the villain?  Is there anything specific which drove them to hate money and greed?
4. Do you have any music/playlists/stories etc. you're using to inspire you to write these stories?

Good luck with NaNo - your projects really look amazing and I hope you find the time and motivation to write when you want to!

Hi!  Just scrolling through this, it's really interesting and inspiring how you've kept working on Come What May for so many years, including having the courage to start over, scrap major sections, etc.  I've been working on the same fic on and off since 2016 and I know how hard it can be to keep working at it!

1) How do you know when it's time to scrap something (either a sentence, a chapter, or an entire fic)?  Do you edit as you go, let things marinate for a long time before deciding, move all your cut scraps into a separate Word doc so you have them for later?

2) Is there a particular moment in Come What May that you're looking forward to writing the most?

3) Emblem also sounds so interesting!  What's Marisa's relationship with Scorpius like? She seems resistant to being in Slytherin (or at least all the symbols that come with it), so how does she feel about a housemate who comes from THE ultimate Slytherin family?

4) How do you develop your OCs? Do you have a plot idea and then develop an OC that fits in, or do you start with a character and then build the plot around them?

5) Do you listen to anything (music, podcasts) while you write? Do you make playlists for different fics and stories?

Hello, my sweet Anni!

I thought I'd stop by here as a little present for your wishlist!

Before questions, I would just like to tell you once again how much I appreciate you! You are such a warm presence around here and your enthusiasm and positivity always make me smile! Never stop being your sweet, bright self, my dear! ?

And now... questions! ;)

  1. I saw your Tweets about getting back to working on Come What May and some new ideas you've had for that story (and planning to start posting it soon, yay! ?) Can you tell us something about one of the changes you are planning to make and what prompted it?
  2. You said you are a big fan of BTS, and I confess I'm a bit ignorant about them... what do you love most about them? What's your favourite song and why?
  3. Out of all your other projects (wow, you have so many, and they all sound so interesting!) which one is the most dear to your heart, if any?
  4. Since you've created so many fantastical settings and plots ("Chimera's Light" especially seems so complex and detailed), do you have any planning/worldbuilding hints to share? ;)
  5. We all know you are (not so) secretly a Disney princess :P But which is your favourite Disney character and why?
  6. What's your favourite holiday tradition? :christmas-tree:

Merry Christmas, lovely!!! :freeze:

So hello and welcome to my Novel Nest for this year's Camp Nano! :)

First and foremost, this thread is going to pretty lengthy so please don't feel obligated to read all the way until the end if you can't or don't want to plus I'm kind of using this space to ramble about my works since I haven't done so in a long while.?

I'll be trying to focus on five separate writing projects for Jul Nano which are: two novels, two fanfictions, and a story which is also a collection. The decision to work only with five is so I don't have to deal with being swamped with too many projects along with feeling completely overwhelmed and not really getting them done. I also had to deal with sorting out many of my writing ans thought it would be easier to focus on lesser projects than in the previous years when I did Nano. I also should add that I'm not somebody who focuses on just one story as it's kind of impossible for me to do so. I admittedly still am in the process of trying to sort out which fanfiction, short story, one shot, collection of story, novels, and any other written works that I want to put on temporary hold,  eliminate some or all of the things, focus on the side, and continue onward with but I'm rambling.

The five stories that I want to focus on for this year's Camp Nanowrimo are:

  • The Light of Eight ( an 8 novel series)
  • Chaos Nine (A novel that I've been plotting and semi working on since 2020)
  • Harry Potter: Come What May  (Harry Potter fanfiction and a chaptered one)
  • Pokemon: Pieces of Regions  (a story collection with different types of story formats like one shots, drabbles, and poetry involving Pokemon or humans in the world of Pokemon)
  • The Days of Francis  (a story collection about a girl who recounts the days of her crush as well as with dealing with rejection)

I might add a short story or two just in case for and if I can't get anything else done but they're not actual goals or what I want to have finished as opposed to just help if I encounter Writer's Block and Writer's Slump (which is actually real and also just as bad as Writer's Block if we're being honest) but otherwise those stories are the main ones that I really want to write. More details about them will featured in the section below.

STORIES

The Light of Eight:

An eight novel series that has been in the works since I was around 10 years old and the idea has gotten bigger and bigger as time went by. There are two protagonists whose name start with a Z and are both a girl and guy who become friends as the story progress and must battle an evil villain and his followers including a few close ones that includes his two siblings and the whole group is set out to spread an agenda that's more than simply taking over world.  Regarding the heroes, the two main protagonists are joined by six others who are friends or classmates and it deals with many things including but not limited to: friendships, family love, discovering the light in a whole new way, journeying the world, and learning things about not only themselves but each other along the way. This novel is the first of the eight but yeah, the novel series also has another name now but won't reveal that for the time being for reasons so I'll call it: The Light of Eight.  There's a lot of world building, character developing,  hours of imagination, thought, research, time praying for it to all go well as well as other things involving it, and that goes into it, and other things that go into this.  This story is inspired by Digimon, Kingdom Hearts, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, The Neverending Story, and a few other things.  This story has been planned and dated back to ever since my elementary school days and got bigger and bigger as time grew.  Hands down, my favorite out of all the stories that I've written.  Not just because I have so many unique ideas or how much imagination is put into it for it but I'm putting my heart and soul into writing it.

Chaos Nine:

Okay this is an idea that came to me when I least expected and that was the year of 2020 where the global pandemic was affecting the world as well as it's the same year that I earlier in the year, had suffered physically from a little wonderful thing known as severe anemia and was getting over another rough year which was the year of 2019 in spite of some good things happening. This idea stems from many inspirations but the biggest one I got was from this anime that I started watching called The Tower of God which is based off the Korean manhwa (that's Korean comics if I recall) and one of my favorite kpop groups, Stray Kids, was doing an opening (as well as the ending song) for them called "Top" which is honestly one of my favorite opening songs and in general. I think it was the anime as well as the song, reading a fanfiction for another fandom which I won't go into detail about and just reading a minor detail about a place in the story that just caught my attention and gave me inspiration, The Hunger Games  or at least parts of it (which I kind of resumed getting back into earlier this year), just many things regarding youthfulness as well as about the youth, the concept of a young ruler or somebody in power, a novel that wasn't connected to The Light of Eight, and a few other ones but those are the ones I can think up of at the moment. xD

This story also has two protagonists and the first one is a girl named Hope Strayce and she's a Junior in high school who is on her summer break and has a great relationship with her two brothers who are both older and younger than her. She also happens to be pretty good with solving puzzles, knows a bit of archery, and detests her part-time job in the mall but is saving up not only for college but this figurine that she wants from her favorite video game series.  The second protagonist is King Chryslithan (Chrys for short) who is unconventional, slightly rebellious, and a huge believer of equality which causes him to clash at times with the elders in the Reign Counsel.  He is also the leader of a group of handpicked group of keepers, guardians, and protectors of the separate district kingdoms called the Guildrin Force whom are mainly his friends whom he met along the way to him becoming a king.  Hope finds herself meeting King Chrys when one of the Guildrin Force members (as well as Chrys' friend) Jenson, accidentally leaves a trail which leads Hope to the realm of Potraciel (where there's separate districts that are part of the kingdom but have their own portal to them).  He and Hope along with the Guildrin Force members team up to work against the antagonist of the story which is a woman named Sophina whom has a past connection with the King and is trying to unleash a monstrous and horrifying entity whose name has yet to be revealed that is formed through the means of a huge war against differing kingdoms alongside from searching and rescuing Hope's brothers, Levi and Nolan.

The thing that I enjoyed while planning this story was creating each of the Guildrin Force members and much like the novels I have briefly spoken about like my other novels that I spoke about previously Unity of The Seventh and Chimera's Light which you can find out in my Writer's Journal, they're also friends much like the ones I created in my other stories but unlike the other stories, these friends feel more like coworkers, classmates, and or former rivals who become close friends and like siblings because their job requires dealing with difficult circumstances and choices which can include severe injuries, potential deaths, and other things that is not for the faint of heart.  I also enjoyed creating the antagonist seeing as she was this character who was not anything like the other ones I crafted and not because she was a villain or anything like that but her relationships and her choices is what I found was quite fascinating and wanted to explore more of.  I also wanted her to enter the story in a way that I wouldn't introduce most of my other antagonists and have been enjoying creating the backstories for her, King Chrys, and Hope as well as the Guildrin Force members.  Please do know many of the names are still being worked on in this story has been in its planning stages and like my other works will be going into the rough draft stages so it's not going to be finalized nor do I have plans to do so. This story is also something I feel good about since not only did come through during the pandemic and one of the worst years of my life but also the story helped me focus on something that wasn't Covid-19 and or other negative thoughts I had at the time.

The Days of Francis:

Originally this was intended to be a drabble or one shot yet somehow evolved to turning into a short story but that didn't work so now it's a story and it'll be a story collection or story with chapters so a story if that's more of the accurate term for it.  This story is about a girl who has a crush on her classmate and coworker and it explores her crush on him from her starting to like him to her going through a crush and pretty much the emotions and journey with it.  The story is told by the Days where she either sees and or thinks about him.  The guy's name is Francis and while I like the name, may be possibly changing it for reasons.  It's also based off my experiences and thoughts regarding crushes and whatnot.  It doesn't seem like there's much yet I always wanted to write a story around crushes and having not just having positivity in it but also negativity that goes with having one if that makes sense. I'll be honest but when I was younger around late elementary through my early years of high school, I always wished for stories as well as songs about getting rejected by crushes and or love interest and how they made that person in the moment and just the details and by details, I mean feelings and so forth.  I mean there's more of the former than latter, yes, but sometimes, just sometimes, I wanted the story to have more than just a generic,  "Oh this person doesn't like me, boohoo I'm sad, oh hey, I'm over it!" you know? I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wanted a story where the author took pace with the characters who got rejected.  People do get over crushes easily, yes, but other people don't. Also rejection is definitely not the end of the world which I do want to point out by the way but to explore that and or at least to know that somebody out there feeling that way would of been cool, you know? Come again, if there's stories like that, I'm either missing them or nobody's recommending them to me if I'm being honest. I wanted to write is not only because I have crushes in my life time but I wanted to explore those crushes in a fictional story type of way if that even makes any sense. This story also has been something that's been on my mind since about two years ago although I never really went with it seeing as it was just an idea or a very blurry one that I couldn't see its clarity until sometime this year.

This is also one of those stories where I would also like to try and write for myself as opposed to an audience of any kind like my other stories. The only audience I can truly think up of is anybody who's gone through crushes and had multiple of rejections, haven't had a significant others yet still has hope in spite of the bad times with the crush, just wanted a story with crushes and rejection, and or just can relate.  Also this may be unrelated but while I've never been in a romantic relationship and have gone through a break up, I always like break up songs, I somehow got inspired by one to write this story.  Odd, yeah, but I can at least understand parts of it because it kind of does feel slightly close that of rejection or in some sense.  But yeah, no, this is something that I'll be writing for myself and I'm actually looking forward to writing more of it.

Harry Potter: Come What May

I'm planning to still work on what is the rewrite this story ever since the original story was published sometime in 2012 and was inspired by a poll on Tumblr yet has grown to a story about a girl named Charlotte Seylor who's more than a fan of the Harry Potter series but also finds her way to the world and there's actually way more complications than the previous story had.  This story is my baby of the fanfiction written works.  The refresher for this story is about a girl named Charlotte Seylor who's a huge Harry Potter fan who wants to go to the Wizarding World but can't due to real life barriers but after encountering a mysterious stranger, receiving letters from owls at her high school, and being sent a peculiar set of instructions and finding a way into the Wizarding World, she along with her friends get transported there and find out that her purpose is greater than just trying to aid their favorite Harry Potter characters and yeah, that's just the gist of it.  I also wanted to do this as a love letter with my love for the Harry Potter story but without strictly writing to just canon characters and take a different route with it.  I admit that writing canon characters is something I actually am struggling with and fear so there's also that to get through as far as writing obstacle goes at the least apart from still trying to work on a proper ending that leads to another story and tying pieces together but hoping that come to me as I write it. Hopefully.

Pokemon:  Pieces of Regions

:pikashock:

Going to add the Pika Shock here because it's Pokemon and also why NOT?!

One main thing about me is that I've been into Pokemon even though I'm not the most stellar when it comes to competitive battles especially with trying to battle against other Trainers/players online in the games. Despite of that very fact that I'm abysmal when it comes to competitive battles, I still do watch people battle or try it for fun but not to the point where it's an everyday thing, however.  I do admit that I'm more into the game for not only collecting Pokemon but mostly its lore, world building, characters like the Champions, rivals, and or the random NPCs, or the Pokemon themselves. That said, I should mention that I'm massively excited for the Sinnoh remakes FINALLY coming out later this year as well as Legends of Arceus (my icon is the official art illustration of the girl player character from the game and I'm not going to call her Dawn seeing as she may have a different name but it would be cool if she's the ancestor to Dawn/Hikari from the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games) coming out during my birthday month next year alongside with me taking a break from NanoWriMo this year since this Jul Nano/Camp Nano is when I plan to get a month of writing done. (I may do this for non NanoWriMo months too if I'm being honest) and try to not get too distracted by the Pokemon games I'm working on and or replaying.  November is when Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl releases and yes, I am hoping to take a day or three days off hopefully from work to play it.  I'm also playing or have been playing Platinum but have Diamond too.  Can't you tell that I love Generation 4 in spite of its evident flaws and I happen to actually grow up with  Generation 1 (the anime mostly) and Generation 6 is actually the first official game that I played through and started backtracking to previous generations? You have to thank Junichi Masuda mostly for that. Also since I been distracted by Pokemon as of late, what better way than to work on something that is a distraction, of huge interest, and also something that I'm celebrating? By that, I mean that it's Pokemon's 25th anniversary too and yes, I plan to celebrate it by writing this story! ;w; Getting to the point, I have a new Pokemon fanfiction idea and it's not going to be one huge story this time around. Sadly I also had to scrap a previous idea known as The Roar of Time completely which was another Pokemon fanfiction that I had originally wanted to write seeing as it wasn't going anywhere in my head but as much as I love the idea of writing about encountering Dialga some place other than the Spear Pillar yet still basing off the events of Pokemon Platinum at the time alongside with no motivation, fuel, and or even drive to get through the fanfiction. Dialga is also one of my favorite legendaries and if I wasn't doing the Temporal Pokemon justice then I had no intention of going through with it. The idea had been so good at the time but things don't always turn out the way you want it to in life and hey, that's also okay too. This doesn't mean that I have no intention of completely scrapping any plans to write a Pokemon related fanfiction--I mean it's not one of my favorite video game series without reason right? (And yes, I know that I'm a "casual" player but in all honesty, this game has helped me through many difficult, monotonous, and even during the strangest of times like during the pandemic last year).  Anyway, I decided to do a series of one shots, drabbles, maybe a poetry or two (but let's be honest, I'm not the greatest so I may have to research how to do some and or ask somebody who knows how to do poetry to help and or look over it and or it'll be a freeverse poetry), and or just pieces of things that I had discovered, piqued my interested, or highly intrigued me and or haven't seen much in the game, anime, movies, and or manga and outside of competitive battling like moments either from the game, anime, manga, and or made up completely basing off those while trying to retain that wonderful joy the games have given me while playing it. (Like walking through the Valor Lakefront and enjoying the atmosphere in the Sinnoh region or skating by the huge yet beautiful Sundial in Kalos and yes, I grew up with Kanto region games but I only got to play very little of it and still have yet to finish and seen the anime and did love it but I have a love and hate relationship with the anime.) The story includes not only the Pokemon themselves of course but the player characters from each of the different eight regions, the champions, members of the Elite Four, NPCs, and or other characters and they can either be the versions of those characters from the anime (if I loved them alot) and or make up yet based off the games, manga, and the mobile game: The Pokemon Masters and so forth.  I might even try and place some OCs with the canon characters too. The player character also may have a second point of view seeing as the games have dialogue that is based off the second person point of view especially with it saying things like:  "Your Chameleon evolved to Charizard!" and "You stored away/put the (whatever item you find in the game) in your bag/in the compartment of your bag!"  so that would be fun to pretty much try to also write in second person considering that I have actually never tried it in my works prior to this. This may be one of the first time I would be eager in attempting to do so. This story collection is currently known as Pieces of The Regions which seems like a pretty generic title at the moment but eventually will be changing it if I can find better words to merge together and or makes more sense.  I already have at least about six-seven stories planned out and am hoping to type it and maybe, just maybe post it onto the archives as well as cross post it on AO3 and Fanfiction. Net.

GOALS:

I want to try and be more realistic with my goals seeing as my perfectionist side and self doubt loves teaming up together whenever I'm trying to write especially with the past two years being harder for me both mentally and physically so  will keep in mind to not only take care of myself with breaks but also make sure that I write but not strain my brain while doing so. I also cannot promise anything to be published either so there's also that.  Most likely, I'm going to set my goals to low expectation in that sense.

My current and main goal is to work on continuing on The Light of Eight as it's the highest priority as far as my writing goes so I want to do as much as writing as I can on it and there's no word count goal for it seeing as I would just want to get to actually writing it as a rough draft for the time being.  It's my baby out of my projects that I have ever worked on, still will need research even after I write it to fill the blanks as they say, and even if the dialogue will be chunky and horrible in the first drafts, must conquer my self doubts and perfectionist side to keep on going and get the rough drafts of any chapters done.  Definitely would also like to get to at least half of the story done.

My other goal is to reach about 10-15k with Come What May and to write up to 5-10 chapters with 5 being the least and 10 the most.

The goal for Pieces of Regions is to get it published onto here as well as cross post it on AO3 and Fanfiction. Net seeing as that's another thing I would love to have in mind and still excited about definitely working with this idea.  I actually would like to at least get one or two done if things don't go the way as planned seeing as it's the game's 25th anniversary is this year and would love to get it done before it's over.  But if it doesn't get done,  guess I can aim for next February seeing as Pokemon Day takes place then and that'd be good enough for me. xD

Other goals for The Days of Francis, and Chaos Nine is to just get them all written and the word count goal does vary but I'm also hoping for the most part is to just get them not only written but also write and see where these two stories will lead me during this Nano.  Because the fun in writing is trying to get to where the story takes you, no? If not, just still want to get them written.

Anyway, I know that's quite wordy for yet another Novel Nest but if you have read this far then you deserve tons of virtual stars, hearts, warm Badger hugs, and many sweets and or good foods and good things your way!  Feel free to send motivation, encouragement, and or cheers of any kind as that would be immensely appreciated. You may also nudge me to get to work if you see me being distracted or you know feel free to also yell at me that helps as well!  I also want to wish everybody who's partaking in Camp NanowriMo not only the best of luck in their writing goals, endeavors, and so forth but also that I'm rooting and cheering for you too. You can do it! You got this!  Please don't forget to also take breaks and or care of yourself during this whole month if needed! Thank you for reading this and hoping that we all can succeed with our writing goals and our writing journey during this Camp NanoWriMo! :)

hellllloooo! :) I come bearing questions!

1) You have pretty specific word count goals for each of your projects. Will you be strictly following those word goals or following wherever inspiration takes you?

2) Which character is your favorite to write? Which character do you see the most of yourself in?

3) The Light of Eight sounds so fascinating. What are you working on in terms of world building? It's my favorite part of projects and I'm dying to know more about your world!

4) I know you said Dialga was one of your favorites, but if you could have one pokemon to keep as a companion which would it be?

Happy Nanoing!

I honestly can't wait to read what you have for the Pokemon fanfic!

1. What do you think inspired you more about the Pokemon fanfic, the video games or the tv series?

2. Are you planning on writing any canon characters from the Pokemon world or is it all OC? Who would you write if you did write any canon?

3. I also think your harry potter fic sounds fun, where does Charlotte and her friends come from? The states, Canada, England? It's funny, I have a hard time creating my own original characters more than I do Canon. Why do you think you have a hard time writing HP Canon? Do you think listening to the books on audio or watching a movie could help get into character?

Good luck! I look forward to reading about your updates!

As always Di, you have some pretty fantastic ideas up here and all of them seem pretty far along in the developmental process! I don't have many questions, I just wanted to pop in and see how you were doing after your first week! I believe that you can get some good writing in this month! ?

Hello there! Also hurray for the questions! :D

1. I actually only have two word count goals for two of the five projects listed on here and that's Chaos Nine with about 15k of words but also to get it written up to 5 chapters max and this is to get the writing for this story going so to speak. The other one word count goal is the rewritten version of my Harry Potter fanfiction: Come What May and I thought a word count and chapter goal would be good seeing as I really am hoping to publish it onto here and it's a story that's a long time coming since I first published it on 2012 but had the idea for it around 2009-2010. The word count is around 10k hopefully and about 5 chapters minimum and if I get more than that, maybe 10 and that's the maximum for it. I hope that made sense? :)

For Pokemon: Pieces of The Regions, The Light of Eight, and The Days of Francis, I have no word count for these stories as I would feel pressured in writing these stories and wanted to do so at my own pace. It also helps me to do so for when I'm getting over a writing slump or coming back to writing in what seems to be a long while. I also have mixed feelings to be honest when it comes to inspiration since I think it can be a great thing to have when you're needing one for your story especially when you're needing ideas but I read an interesting article that says that inspiration isn't always going to come to you in writing and that you shouldn't rely on it for days if and or when you can't write.  After reading that article, I felt this was true in my case seeing as I have days where there's no inspiration at all whatsoever yet I still want to or sometimes have to force myself to write even if I'm not dealing with physical, mental, or emotional health but rather not write and those days, inspiration is something that I can't always rely on or have it be something fuels me to keep writing per se.  I deal with this by relying on my perseverance, having a goal in mind and using that as motivation, and even at times, for me, turning to my faith.

So I say it's half and half, really? Hope that answers your question though! ?

2.  Ooh I actually like this question but it's hard to answer the first one because I have so many favorite characters to write! I think of all of them like my children that I love to pieces and hate choosing one even if I'm guilty of having some favorites. ?

Okay so I like writing Zen who's one of my two protagonists in the Light of Eight seeing as she's athletic, observant, hardworking, and is super compassionate but it's like a double edge sword trait of hers.  She's also an adoptee with a visible orange hair which is natural in her world but she gets teased and bullied for it, is very tall in height (say above 5"11-6") and is pretty young for her age despite her height as she's 13-14 years old but looks as if she's in early 20s or late teens.  She also is more into her thoughts and seems quiet and outside of close friends and family, it may also cause her to be seen as intimidating and anti social.  I feel she's my favorite because she's a character that I'm going on a journey along with. She's also a definition of not judging a book by its cover. So I'll go with her for my favorite character. :)

Which character do I see myself in the most? There's a few but one that comes to mind is another one of my Light of Eight series character whose name is Wannida and is one of Zen's friends in the story. She is a character who is most like me. I haven't read books with many Thai-American adoptee and while I have seen adoptees and or other Asian American which I can appreciate especially nowadays with POCs becoming main characters or are stars more in the stories as time goes on, I still haven't seen one who is Thai American and or an adoptee so would definitely like that.  This, however, does give me the incentive to write one based off of me so I guess that also can be a good thing in a way? To answer your question, she is based off of me  (which may seem concieted? shallow? self inserting oneself into the book??) but it's only because I haven't seen myself in other books I've read.  I haven't felt represented and or somebody I can relate to.  The closest I feel that way is when I read Pintip Dunn's works and she has two Thai Americans protagonists in two of her books that I've read. I still need to read more of her works but the ones I've read so far? They help me feel seen even if I haven't grown up in America the way she has and so forth if that makes sense? If there's another book with a Thai American adoptee, I would actually love to see it and see myself represented, you know? Especially if the person isn't good at fitting in, is severely misunderstood, and has to deal with being left out, and or feel like an alien to everybody else including their friends.  Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that Wannida is the closest to me as far as character goes in writing because she's both of what I wanted to see in the books that I've read but while I don't want to write an autobiography, I instead put many of my own personal life experiences, feelings, and thoughts in her character.  I mean we do have our differences like she's a tough cookie,  she's more brutal with the truth and doesn't give a second thought who she would hurt until it's pointed out to her and would be out for revenge if you deeply hurt or upset her, and she's more courageous about diving into situations and certainly more fun and outgoing than I am.  She's what I tell people that I wish to be at times.

3.  My favorite part of the worldbuilding? Hmm I have to say that I love writing about the culture and geography seeing as the world is not only massive so I have tons to work with and or have to really contemplate with.  I will use geography seeing as culture iss something that I'm still working on. For the geography, I'm trying to build each locations such as the different kingdoms which is known as "Divided Kingdoms" even if not all of them are exactly kingdoms and it's called Dividoms. Many of them are massive and the government or ruling system is different from one another like the countries here on Earth.  I like also being able to write one town where there's a huge tree that grows these plants that cure diseases and replace alot of the medicine on Earth and it's on this giant slope-like hill in one place and another place has something where you have to travel with a creature or some kind of transporation or magical method in order to get across some jagged rocks as well as a body of water that's filled with some weird substance that you don't want to fall in. The skies are not always being universally blue but instead other colors as well as the waters being different colors.  I like being able to have one kingdom that are different from another so one kingdom has a season and another one has a different season and they're completely two different seasons and you'll notice when you walk or journey from to the other and vice versa.  I also love how I can imagine that you have to have a specific ways to get in one or the other especially if you're from Earth or a completely different planet. For example, there's a kingdom called Topazion that connects to the UK and has smaller portals to many parts of the UK which is easier for the humans who live in that kingdom.  The countries from Earth connects to each kingdoms in my story but each countries from my fictional planet's side gets to claim the portals of Earth because they live on the other side or at least close to it. The rule on the planet is that if you're the closest to the countries in Earth and if it's on the other side of the specific dividom, it gets to be claimed and usually people let it go about the claims or who has claims for this planet. This, however, is debatable with some of the kingdoms and the countries since a few of them aren't exactly on the other side or super close to the dividoms so it can get tricky.  I also have different types of kingdoms and some of them are useful for the uses of the world itself that many skeptical readers would be asking me, "Why does this exist?" but works with the story.  I won't go into too much detail as some of the ideas I have are unique and I think I rather wait for readers to see it. But it's just so much fun to write them as well so I guess I really like writing the geography. I don't have maps for it yet exactly but am hoping to at some point!

4.  Yes, it's one of my favorite legendaries actually! I love it to pieces along with many other legendaries and Pokemon hahaha. Um, to answer your question, though, I would of have said Victini which is a mythical Pokemon from Unova and it's side quest in Black and White was pretty fun to play and or see in people's walkthroughs. I love it because of the Pokemon movies, its designs, and moves and while it's not one of the stronger ones or one that people like, I had a love for it because of everything about it. :D  But that changed when Pokemon Sword and Shield came out in 2019 and introduced a few new Pokemon including the fire type starter: Scorbunny and its evolution lines which consists of Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace! I love all of hem but my favorite so far has been Raboot!  This is because I love its movements, design, and also it's personality which makes them seem cold and they're like...I don't know what's the right word...seem edgy but it's not??? But it acts like a bunny who's also a teenage brat, yes, but they're also sweethearts deep down and when you see them kick....it's actually powerful so they're kicking something like a piece of rock in a battle and seem like one of those teenagers with their hands in their pockets but that's only because they're using their feet for power as it's more efficient.  Also I saw the Pokemon Journeys anime and I love Goh and he has a Scorbunny who evolved into a Raboot and his Raboot did a 180 in terms of personality which is sad but hilarious if you look at it another way and I basically fell in love with his Scorbunny and then I started to appreciated Raboot a whole lot because of how it's like, again, a teenage brat but it's also cool in its own way? I guess what I like about it is that it appears edgy but it's a softie and it's still adorable and I would also like to hug it if it was real just because it's that adorable. =w= Also I been collecting merch for it...so if that doesn't tell you that it's not my favorite Pokemon then I don't know what will haha! xD

Thank you so much for dropping by and leaving such awesome questions, it's much appreciated! I hope your writing is going well and that Camp Nano hasn't given you too much trouble or grief this month! Thank you again for dropping by! :D

Hi Heather! Aww thank you so much your kind comments and the questions, it really means alot! ❤️

Just a heads up that while I'm answering your questions that may be quite rambly due to my excitement of talking about my works. ?

1.   Ooh this is a really good question! The video games for the most part I would say! Some of the anime may as well with the OST/soundtrack sounding gorgeous and fantastic (Cianwood City/Ecruteak City theme and Professor Rowan's theme comes to mind!) but for me, it's always the games! ❤️  The reason I say this is actually because I was thinking about the games and which locations I was fell in love with or loved going to in the game and imagining it being expanded into a story with a moments where the characters would be in places like the hotels both located in Heahea City in the Alola region (in Pokemon Sun and Moon/Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon games),  the Valor Lakefront in the Sinnoh region (in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games), and skating by The Sundial in the Anistar City Kalos region (in the Pokemon X and Y games) as few examples!   I also feel the game is what really gives me the positive experience with Pokemon in spite of things that could be improved upon on and or needs to be done better.  I like the anime but having a love and hate relationship with it too so I do take what I do like and or love from that and will place that in the story but other times I'm just not heavily into it but it does help me with the context and or gives me an image of the what the Pokemon world is like when there are events and things said in a game that doesn't make sense yet it also sometimes doesn't make it sense itself, you know? xD

2. Depends on the games and the anime itself, so I would say that I am mainly working with canon characters like the player characters like May and Brendan from Ruby and Sapphire or OmegaRuby and Alphasapphire games for one of my one shots and now another story that's being turned into a short multi chaptered Pokemon fanfiction and try to use what details I got from the games and other media like Pokemon Masters (a side mobile game) and but not rely on all of the actual source matieral and try to make it up as I go with it and or get inspiration from it.  I also have plans to write OCs too in all honesty alongside canon characters! I actually have one named Kioku who is a girl from the Johto region who goes on a trip all over the regions explored in each of the games.  She has a Pichu and two Pokemon who aren't native to where she's from,  she has short chin length brown hair that she wears in braids, she's from Goldenrod City and hangs around the Game Corner in her spare time until her mother forced her to go traveling, and she is not the greatest when it comes to battles but loves traveling and learning new things about Pokemon and is able to care for them if they're lost, getting hurt or abused, and or need somebody there for them, and her stories includes the other one shots that I'm making up which involves her as well as canon characters from both the game and anime. She'll also be introducing the whole story in the Prologue section and I hope it gives the readers that same feeling when they first start the Pokemon games with the Professors introducing the world of Pokemon and what Pokemon are but she's introducing the stories of the player characters as well as canon characters through a thing called a Memory Scrapbook to the readers.  Basically she's one of the main OCs who you'll see experience things I had desire to see and or be expanded mostly in the games, based off my imagination, and or both. For example,  there's a story where she runs into the player character from Heartgold and Soulsilver named Ethan who's chasing a Ho-Oh and she comes along for the ride because she befriends the player character and they have an adventure and there's friendship between them which is something I always thought would cool to have.  Another story is when she finds a missing Popplio and has to find its owner  but doesn't know who it is and she comes across Lana who is the captain of the Water Trial and they become friends and she is based off both the game and anime counterparts, Lana I mean.   I do have canon characters from the anime like Ash and he meets one of the player characters: Hilbert who's not in the anime in Accumula Town in the Unova region and they discover a little gem in the town and also end up challenging each other to having a Pokemon battle and becoming friends and rivals who are aiming to be number one for the  Unova Pokemon League. It gives the player characters and or other characters who aren't player characters more chance to shine and or written differently than how they were in the anime but with an OC touch, I guess? xD  Pretty much Kioku has experiences with the canon characters but in a way that I wish the anime expanded and the writers of the show never touched upon which has me wanting to question what was going through their minds when they decided to choose this or that for the story line in the anime or what the character does in the anime. *sighs* So a wish fulfillment type of fanfiction if you will. Honestly, I just want a fanfiction that has more of the player character stories being the main stars  and so they aren't seen as cutboard characters that you only play or use as in the games plus it would be a waste to not write a story behind the awesome character designs given and wasted potential if many of them don't appear in the anime!  But yeah, I would write it mixed with canon characters and the OCs and definitely would write mostly about the player characters who are missing from the anime alongside the characters in the game who already featured in the anime of course! :)

3. Thank you! I'm glad that somebody does think so! Yes, Charlotte does come from the States and so do her friends except one and one is actually an adoptee so she's adopted from another country but they're all from the US but the story will be taking place in not just where they live but also the Wizarding World so technically we'll also have characters from there as well but I won't get into too much into it since I don't want to spoil anything!

For me, the canon characters are characters that are and or have been created so many fans who love the series would know the ins and outs of them so to speak and or know alot about how they would react to a situation and what they would and wouldn't say per se if that makes sense? It's trying to put those characters into another situation and or trying to imagine what they would say is the challenge. It's like somebody asking me to pick at their character and write them in my story although technically I'm the one who's placing their character in the story. Does that make sense?  I feel like I am not good with capturing people's personalities or struggle to in the media unless they give me a full detailed analysis of their character or really specific ideas of what they want does that makes sense? That's why I'm always nervous of writing characters...I want to do the canon characters the justice of capturing who the author wrote them as and or who other fans would recognize as they're the stars of the books that people wrote the fanfiction based on?

Yeah, I concur that it's funny that we're the opposite of each other in that aspect then. I think it's easier for me to create OCs because I have so much planned and or imagination that I don't have anybody placing expectations on me on how to write my character other than to make them believable and or 3D in a sense they can imagine them as real people or they can relate to.  OCs are empty template that you can fill in when writing a story and that is hard, yes, but for me, I'm good with filling them out especially if they're based off people who inspire, motivate, and or help me wether I know them in real life, online, and or don't know them like say, artists and musicans, actors and actresses, Youtubers, and so forth.  But yeah, OCs aren't expected of me when writing a fanfiction other than to make them real and belieable and or likeable but canon characters on the other hand would evoke the reader to say: "Harry shouldn't be saying that!" or "Ron doesn't act this way!"  You get what I mean?  I don't think I'll be hearing much of: "Charlotte shouldn't be saying that word at all." because the readers don't know who Charlotte is as opposed to them knowing Ron and Harry.

I could try listening to the audio of the books but as somebody who loves using imagination and visualizing, I have a hard time getting into an audiobook for fictional works as opposed to a non fictional work like say, somebody's autobiography or a Science book, and the reason I say that is, because I like to usually imagine or visualize the characters in my head and my own imagination. I could also assign them to a specific voice or if I have an actor in mind, in a way, imagine them playing or portraying that character in my head.  I hate that the audio book takes my ability to hear that actor and or how I would visualize the character in my head since I have what many is called dreamcast/fancast so hence why I don't really listen to the audiobooks of the books for things I want to write fanfiction for or even read at a leisure unless I really wanted somebody to read me.   Like Eddie Redmayne narrating as Newt and actually reading Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is somebody I enjoyed because we all know he's prefect for Newt! :D I would be open to hearing that if I am planning to write a Fantastic Beast fanfiction which I may or may not have had a plunny for a few months ago but I'm getting off topic. :P  But short answer for your question: no, I don't use audio books to help me inspire to write the canon characters. If anything, I just try and read the book itself without it as I much prefer using my imagination to hearing somebody else narrating over the voices of my imagination if that makes sense?

I do watch the movies to help me somewhat get an idea of how the characters are portayed in canon yet I also have to keep in mind that in the books and movies, they're written much differently from one another.  For example, as much as I love Rupert Grint, I hate the way they make Ron the laughingstock and less intellectual than I would of have liked to see in the movies. I 1000% prefer Book Ron over Movie Ron.  I do use the movies as some of the inspiration and motivation to write the canon characters but again, not fully.  I also like referring to the video games but mostly from the first three games and the fifth and sixth game but to an extent seeing as they follow the movies rather than the books.  I also should mention that I definitely have no knowledge of British English so I actually use the movies, video games, and the books as source materials and try to pay attention to how the characters say and or what word they choose to help me write the dialogue and or what they would say if that makes sense?

I guess  that I try to get into canon characters' head is by reading other people's fanfiction to help me see what sort of ways they get that character's personalities and what they did and if sounds closest, I try to take notes of what they did and or get inspired.   If not, I also try and read detailed analysis on the canon character's personalities so I can understand things that I didn't pick out from my reading.  Sometimes the detailed analysis of the character has depth and gives me things that I wish I noticed when reading the book and they also help me get a sense or general idea of what the character is like and how they react to canon but it all depends really  I wouldn't rely on a character analysis that nitpicks and or bashes the character and their flaws, especially if it's opinionated piece, but if it's to help give the readers or other people a take that hasn't been noticed and sharing it with other readers and fans then yeah, that I will take into consideration.

If anything, I try to rely on the Harry Potter Wikia to somewhat help me as a source but again, I really try to go back to the book and expand my thinking of situations that I would put the canon characters in and imagine how they react and hopefully go for that if and or anything else fails.

And that was a wordy response but hope that answers your questions! xD

As always Di, you have some pretty fantastic ideas up here and all of them seem pretty far along in the developmental process! I don't have many questions, I just wanted to pop in and see how you were doing after your first week! I believe that you can get some good writing in this month! ?

Hey Courtney!

Thank you for dropping by as it's always much appreciated to hear from other people and am hoping that your writing journey for this month is going well and I'll be dropping your nest soonish as well! :)  Oh, and in regards to the ideas, yeah, I have so many of them that my storage in my head screams at me for keeping and or over piling them and I get overwhelmed if I don't organize them so I have to start filling word doucments, notes on my phone, and or journals that I buy and don't fill out get filled in for ages until those story ideas or some random life event is going to escape from me but I digress. xD  But seriously, I have tons of writing ideas that I have to ponder which one I should give away if not dispose if say, a better idea, sometimes I would also love to help, say another writer, by giving them the ideas, just so I don't overwhelm myself hahaha but yeah... and yes, yes I did although I have slowed in my writing for the past few days so uh, may need to try and get back to writing again or try to even though I'm going to have a 4 day work shift in a row and it's until close and I'll have only 2-3 hours to write in between sleeping in and getting food and to getting ready to go to work which should be something.  But no, really thank you for your lovely comments and kind words. Seriously will have a proper update at some point but yes, it's good to hear for you!  I hope your writing journey is going well for you this month too ❤️

On the most random note, I'll be posting how my writing progress for the story goes sometime maybe after next week is over but for now, will be doing my best to keep on writing and may switch up from my Pokemon fanfiction to Come What May and Chaos Nine seeing as I have had goals for that and also some of Light of Eight and The Days of Francis as well!  I hope you guys are having a great and or wonderful month of writing so far! If you haven't progressed yet, let me know, and I'll try to give you a quote, encouragement and or motivation, cheer for you, yell at you, and or do a writing sprint with you if and or when I have time! But seriously, best of luck to you if you need it!  :D

Hi Di! Here with some questions for JulNo gift tag!

  1. You mentioned The Light of Eight was something you came up with when you were about 10...do you remember what the original inspiration was for it?
  2. Who were some authors and what were some books and/or media that influenced your love of writing?
  3. If you could only pick one ancillary "writing accessory for inspiration," would it be pinterest, playlists, or a notepad?
  4. What is your favorite thing about writing?
  5. Are you a mood writer or do you have a way you prioritize writing your different projects?
  6. What is one thing you discovered this month in your stories you were working on that you didn't know before?

Hello there!

Haven't been on here due to many things personal things happening which I won't get too much into although I do want to mention that my aunt did pass away a few weeks ago but my family and I were able to visit her back in early February and did got to say goodbye.  Despite this, I'm actually doing better and have taken a break as it was needed.  It's almost April isn't it?! If so, time has going fast as well!  The month of April brings Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event (actually it was two days in the States and three days before in Japan but April 10, there’s a special event happening and I’m beyond excited! <3), a movie or two I'm looking forward to seeing, a video game I'm looking foward to playing eventually, one of my packages coming soon in the mail (or hopefully) spring showers, and of course: Easter will be arriving soon as well! It’s going to be a whole brand new month and we'll be ending March very soon which is pretty awesome! I feel the months have been going by slowly but maybe that's because I'm awaiting for two shows in May and it just feels like forever. April also marks Camp NanoWriMo which means another month of writing! I normally would skip this month to not do Camp since July is a preferable month for me but decided to do this earlier during this month instead since I want July to be a free month for me this year instead! That, and I’ve been actually itching to write since I’ve started getting back to it since mid February too as well!

Here are the various writing projects I'm writing for this April's Camp NanoWriMo! ?

ORIGINAL FICTION:

When Nothing Cried

This is a story about a girl named Kelsie who is looking forward to the start of Summer but things go south after finding out that both her friend, Jarvis and later on, her Uncle Mick dies almost during the same time.

This originally was going to be a short story when I had first had the idea for it sometime while dealing with grieving my not so close friend and uncle who died months close to each other and had decided to expand it once I had not only writing during grieving their deaths but also recently my aunt's as well.   This story is very personal yet important to me especially with my aunt passing away recently about a few weeks ago from dementia. I feel this also deserves to be focused on more seeing as I haven't been able to work on it during the years I lacked in writing. I put many of my own personal experiences with grief but also the shame, guilt, and the expectation from either those around me or other people who expect you to act a certain way when dealing with a loss.  I have learned since then that many people grieve differently.  Overall, this story is not only way for me to not only express my grief as far as an outlet in writing goes and a personal story but it's also story about dealing with one of the biggest events in life and one that may be completely overwhelming, devastating, and heartbreaking at the same time.

On a lighter note, I had a signature on here for a few years now that was made by the lovely Eva  ( @just.a.willow.tree ) on here, it has my dreamcast for the character of Kelsie which is Kathryn Newton, has tulips (as I read their symbolism and meaning), and the quote is actually from the actual story itself.

Also had to edit this many times seeing as I wanted to explain in depth as to what inspired, helped, and or motivated me to write it but ended up vomiting too many things for the nagging feeling of oversharing to as well as overwhelming others. I may try and explain it either on a blog or Writer's Journal here. If not, maybe elsewhere would be okay too! ?

Bricks and Lore (working title)

On the brighter side of things, this is one of my favorite writing projects due to it being a screen or should I say a teleplay as well as a novel that may or may not expand into a series varies on how well I fare in writing this. My idea stems from this strange idea of a former cheerleader grieving her best friend’s death and one day, instead of going home, is trying to find clues that lead to his death and is faced with a terrifying monster that is the obvious culprit but it doesn’t stop there, she instead, fights the monsters instead of running away like any normal human being with a weapon that is unexpected and funny in some ways but actually works.  Yeah, you see how odd this can be but then again, imagination is a powerful yet wonderful thing especially when you're working in part-time job and you need to kill some time so you're daydreaming about this cheerleading battling a monster and soon a plethora of other ideas start coming to mind and you're writing it not only in the back of your mind but also in a word document once you get home. :P  But in seriousness, I don't want to give too much away in terms of the plot but let me tell you that it does involve a small city (and not town) called Brinstar,  it takes place in three different time periods: the 80s, 90s, and the 2000s, there's nolstagia from each time period mentioned, humor, drama, mystery, some horror but not full blown (as I'm not a huge fan of the genre), and of course: fantasy that's not exactly 100% urban, and did I also mention that it's actually a fictional show too?

The show within a fictitious world so if you recall the Unity of the Seventh/The Sept7,  Chaos Nine, and now the untitled orignal characters short story collection (which I’ll be mentioning in a bit), this is actually a TV show in all those universe although the latter universe is fun because in the reality within another fictitious world, the actors of the show are real and one of my original characters is friends with one of the stars on the show.  This shouldn't be spoiler-y but the town where my original characters: Zachary and Caleb lives is where Cassidy on the show got her last name town from and the show even films there as there's an urban myth similar to the show. However, it is not a reality but still touristy and people still visit it for the reason the show was filmed there in many of its locations.  This may be inspired by me watching too many Stranger Things locations videos on Youtube earlier this year but hey, putting that to good use to help me write this ehehe.  It’s also become very popular in their world so if you see them referencing or talking about the show with bricks and monsters then it’s this definitely this one.  Metaverse, perhaps? Fictional world within another fictional world.  You could say that.  Additionally I have a document that I wrote and plotted everything regarding this fictional show and it was one of the best things to come out of my brain this year so far so definitely excited to write this in a teleplay and novel formats!

Also I have no word count goal for the two stories mentioned as I would like take not only time in writing them but also these two would be fun to write without word count goals.

Untitled Original Characters Short Stories Collection:

A collection of short stories mostly about middle schoolers to adults tackling a wonderful thing called life with the plethora of original characters I have running about in my head whether it’s about a boy named Zachary whom frequents a coffee shop and always sees a girl whom he is fascinated and secretly enamored by to a middle aged woman named Leona who works at the grocery store trying to do her best to spread joy in spite of the pandemic that’s happening and deals with a coworker who is less thrilled to be working with her as well as upset and weary customers.  There's also Nathan ( who is from the Sept 7) who meets a boy not from his planet and they go on a silly but fun mission together.  Those are just a few of the many stories featured within the collection and it's actually tons of fun just thinking about writing them. This story has various prompts that range from short word phrases, one words, and also was originally an ABC short story but is now just a short story collection.  My goal for this particular short story collection is maybe 10k and no more than 10k.

EDIT:  So I realized it's the last day of March so I'll have to start writing at some point tomorrow or really soon and in all honesty, my idea for the short story collection was to put multiple of my original characters from differing fictitious universes/worlds of mine together but instead of dealing with one huge magical or superpower event or something too big, they experience life and bits of either random shenigans, fun times, or even slight serious or dark moments together along the way.  Some stories are serious and dark but for the most part, I found myself having to rethink about it being only a few characters and didn't like it as much. I prefer the idea of my oirignal characters either in more shorter stories and or together in these short stories whether they're cameos, part of the story, or just in it for some time.  It was actually titled Quailston Ridge Short Tales but now that is no longer the case.   It's going to be something completely different or at something I know that I'll enjoy writing more.

The Inner Thoughts of Caleb Walden-Sanders  (also working title):

This is a story about a boy named Caleb Walden-Sanders who writes his innermost thoughts in a journal that he got from his mother and aunt.   He talks about being things such as being peer pressured, dealing with bullies, getting into trouble, struggling with grief, feeling alienated for being different, learning about difficult and hard subjects,  having crushes, dealing with something you cannot control, and for the most part, the upsides and downsides of life.  I still feel this story is not only a work in progress and still developing but definitely have wanted to write this story as the challenge for me was to not only write a male character in first person of view but do so as if he was writing in a journal or diary as opposed to just narrating it. Caleb's friend Zachary also makes an appearance in Quailson Ridge Tales and his story is also more humorous but that shouldn't mean this story is all seriousness, am definitely hoping to make things lighthearted and fun in some of the chapters too seeing as I definitely want to add in his happier alongside his serious and darker moments.

FANFICTION:

Harry Potter: Come What May:

Okay so I'm highly aware that I’ve been putting this on all my Camp NanowriMo and NanoWriMo threads but I’ve always been intent, determined, and very driven to get this story done and make no exception come this April, that’s what I’m going to do!  My goal is to get hopefully 5 chapters written along with maybe a 25k word count maybe? 10 if I’m ambitious and able to combat my perfectionist side so it doesn't mess with me when trying to write Charlotte's story!  Also I completely changed Hubert’s character, did some changes to the story now adding a proper villain or two apart from Voldemort and his Death Eaters,  hopefully made Jayson, Vanessa, and another character feel more revelant to the story, and this rewrite is still aimed to be far better than the original draft that we can talk about but it’s not as satisfying as this rewrite if I had to be honest.

Kingdom Hearts:  A Fictitious Truth

There’s actually a longer summary for this fanfiction that I’ll probably either put on here in my Writer’s Journal or on my personal and writing blog but I’ll try and give a summary of what this fanfiction is about down below:

When 15 year old Mack Reedington  discovers a video game series known as Kingdom Hearts after the persistent urging of his younger brother, Cliffton (Cliff) to play it, he's not only intrigued by the story of Sora and his friends and their world.  As he plays through each of the game in the series, however,  he starts to experience weird set of events such as encountering a cloak figured who gives him a cryptic message and a picture of him with a keyblade when he comes home from running errands to slipping into a strange and hollow tunnel and falls into a darkness abyss but is rescued by a strange boy whom he has never met that wields the exact same keyblade as the characters do in the video game. It is then he is finally waking up in a bed in a strange room in a place called Traverse Town and meets several teens who are having similar experience as him and they bond together as well as several other Kingdom Hearts characters to not only find out how to go back to his home but more importantly: find out both how and why their existence is prominent to this world that was meant to be just a game.

So this fanfiction I was going to leave untouched for a super long time but after reading through it once more sometime over the past few years, a huge part of me wanted to scrap NOT all of it but many of it so here to say that I'm scrapping many of the older things including some of the characters, villains, and conflicts that happened in the older version.  I instead am planning to write a rewrite and just in time for Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary or at least during the same year as it! That should still be good right? :D  This rewrite will include some new plots, characters, and possibly Disney Worlds as Kingdom Hearts 3 will also be added to this story although plan to steer away from some things in the actual lore and make up some things that differ from the game for reasons. I instead am planning to write a rewrite and just in time for Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary or at least during the same year as it! That should still be good right?

I’m also very excited to bring this fanfiction to light (no pun intended by the way) for the Kingdom Hearts fandom.  The stories will be told in multiple  point of views: Mack's,  Sora's and later on, a new original character that I created another Kingdom Hearts fanfiction but will introduced here.  That, and if not for them, writing this story for myself if we’re being honest since it’s been several years that I have written this story or much on it.  That, and I miss writing Mack and this Kingdom Hearts fanfiction since his story was actually created back sometime in 2005-2007 as well.

Stranger Things:  The Calm Before The Storm (working title)

This is one I have been actually hoping to write as it’s been not only idea that has been lingering on my mind especially since my hype, excitement, and wait for Stranger Things has been coming back since the start of this year but has been with me since I heard Season 4 was being filmed. That, and we’re playing the waiting game for the show as well.  (58 days, y'all!)  I’m still hoping that we get a Season 4 trailer soon as well as previously mentioned since we’re also playing the waiting game for that.

Anyway this story is from Mike Wheeler’s point of view that focuses on not just him reflecting but also having memories as well as bits of things in regards to his relationships with the other characters from the show aside from El be it his friendships with the rest of the party such as Lucas, Dustin, Will, and now Max.  I also will include Nancy in this seeing as she’s not only his older sister but I genuinely enjoyed their sibling bond in Season 1 as it was one of my favorite thing about them and somehow the writers couldn’t let them bond or be as close, if not closer, as far siblings goes in the other two seasons. Sure, we see bits of hints of the fact they’re siblings but it also feels like they’re more distant neighbors or something when that is not the case. The story will be set around sometime in between Seasons 3 and 4.  I think it would be cool to have some “missing” scenes or scenes that feels like a fix-it-scenes from things we lacked or done in the prior seasons.

The title is not that great that I'm aware of but I heard Season 4 is more darker and scarier and that means the show will be intense but reading the summary of the show actually helped so that's the title for now.

However, it's still a working title and if anybody else has a cooler and better suggestion, I'm always open to hearing it. If not, I'll be on the quest to find it although my goal for now is to write this fanfiction and just get as much done.  I don't have a specific word count goal either.

I’m actually pretty excited to write about him and his relationship with Max and Nancy the most as I been curious to see how he treats them with the little screentime they’ve given to him and those two or what I’ve noticed. There’s also Jonathan, Steve Harrington, and Robin, yes but I feel that I want to focus especially these two before the other characters as I wanted Mike and Max’s friendship in Season 3 and with how that turned out, well let’s just say, I wasn’t pleased by the writing of how things actually turned out in Season 3.  Mike Wheeler is also one of my favorite characters hence why I’m choosing as him as the main character in this story.

Phew!

I think I typed alot more than usual or as much as stories as my previous NanoWriMo or Camp NanoWriMo but I'm also very excited to work on them especially A Fictitious Truth (re-write),  Bricks and Lore, and The Innerthoughts of Caleb Walden-Sanders as they're favorite ideas of this batch so far.  I should mention that I'm in addition to these that I'll be also working on trying to write blog entries for a blog outside of here, maybe an entry for here updating my life (but don't know if anybody will read it since I can be wordy), and of course: writing my 8 novel series on the side as always since that's still my important and biggest work but will still try and leave room for my other works.

But yeah, I think that's all the writing projects I have so far for this upcoming NanoWriMo so far. If you read this far, thank you for not only taking the time to do so but reading through me once again, each year that NanoWriMo or Camp NanoWriMo, rambling about the upcoming writing projects that never seem to see the light in the day or anything. ;w; ❤️  If you aren't overwhelmed, annoyed, and or weary at this point, again, thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to read it. I do apologize for it being wordy.  Here's to hopefully get some things posted!

Also wishing you all the best of luck and well wishes for your own writing projects for those who also are partaking in Camp Nano! I'm also rooting for you as well and sending you encouragement, motivation, and cheer! You can do it! You got this! :D

Thanks again for reading! Take care!

Major details that weren't needed, had to edit a project again, oversharing about one of the works, some other things needed fixing!

Di! You have so many great diverse projects you're working on! I hope you don't mind me stopping by with some questions!

  • How do you focus on one project at time? Or do you consistently work on multiples at once? What do you think the benefit to approaching your writing in this way?
  • In When Nothing Cried do you plan on sharing glimpses of Kelsie's prior relationship with her Uncle Mick and Jarvis through flashbacks? Or can you tell us if the story will be structured differently? (PS it's super brave to put yourself/your personal experiences out there. I applaud you for doing so, and I hope it helps with your healing process with the loss you've experienced. ?)
  • In Bricks and Lore, you talk about bringing back nostalgic things from the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Can you share some elements from those times? *sighs wistfully* I too, get nostalgic about this time period. Also, in addition to this being fantasy and maybe horror? Will humor also play into this story? Will the cheerleader befriend the monster? Do you have strong visuals of what the monster will look like? How did you arrive at that image? Anyway, it's a super creative idea and if you do post it, I'd definitely check it out just from how unique it sounds. ?
  • You have a great host of original characters in your Untitled Short Stories piece above. Is there anything thematic tying these stories together? Or do they operate in the same universe and will we see glimpses of other characters in other short stories?
  • I was super into Stranger Things S1 & S2, I definitely need to catch up on S3 though. Is your idea above your first attempt at writing Stranger Things fan fiction? Or have you done so previously? How do you decide if you're going to write fan fiction for a particular fandom? What is a particular missing moment you are excited about exploring in this piece?

Anyway, hope this gets your creative juices flowing! Best of luck this month!

Hi, Diana!  Yes, I did read your post all the way through, from top to bottom, and I'm blown away, not only by all the ideas you have, but also by your utter faith that you can handle all this stuff (a dozen balls in the air at one time!). I would say that as a writer you are one of a kind.

Do you find yourself feeling obliged to prioritize your projects by their personal importance to you, certain ones that you feel you must get finished, even if other projects are shoved onto the back burner?  Or do a lot of these ideas have equal importance for you, so that it doesn't matter which ones are addressed first?

Do the obligations of real life (job, school, family, etc) put a real pinch on your writing time, or have you managed to carve out some fairly big chunks (or lots of little ones) to devote to bringing your stories to completion?  If the latter, do you have any hints about how to carve out the time (other than by breaking your leg, as I did)?  ?

I wish you lots of success (I won't say 'luck' because I think you make your own luck) during April, and thank you so much for all your encouragement to all the rest of us!

Hey, Diana!

Here to bring some cheer and encouragement to you for all your writing projects!

Cheering Cheerleader GIF

(Really, you have so many... how do you manage? :P)

So, some questions for you...

1. out of all the ideas you've listed, is there one you are particularly excited about / it's especially dear to your heart and why?

2. if you had to describe on of your characters (you choose which one) with a colour, what would it be? (You've been asking this question all around, so it was time someone threw it back at you... :P)

3. grief and family themes seem to be recurrent in your projects (which makes sense to me because I tend to focus on those themes, too). Would you say they are distinctive of your writing? Are there other themes/traits that are recurrent/distinctive in your works?

4. Sort of linked to the above... how would you describe your writing in 3 adjectives?

5. 8 novel series??? What's that??? (If you mentioned it in the single projects' description and I missed it, I apologize... :couch:)

6. WHEN WILL WE SEE SOME OF YOUR WRITING POSTED ON THE ARCHIVES??? (apologies again, it's up to you of course, but I've been dying to read something of yours since forever... :rose:)

These questions are kind of general, I know, but I couldn't come up with anything more specific... :P I still hope they'll help getting some inspiration, if nothing else!

Good luck with all your projects! I really hope you'll make a lot of progress this month! :D

:freeze:
