nott theodore Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Title: Fake It Til You Make It Author: @Rhaenyra Link to Story: (m) Warnings [if applicable]: sexual content, substance abuse Reason for Nomination: Who doesn't love a good fake-dating, friends-to-lovers story? This is another example of Rebecca's brilliant original fiction, with characters you end up rooting for almost immediately, and a fun and compelling storyline. I've enjoyed every update and I'd definitely recommend this story for someone who's looking for something to cheer them up!
grumpy cat Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Title: Imperium Author: @Aphoride Link to Story: here++ Warnings [if applicable]: Domestic Abuse, Hate Speech, Sexual Content, Suicide, Violence Reason for Nomination: laura's writing is superb, not just in Imperium, but in general, though Imperium as a story is a prime example of her fantastic writing skills. the way she writes description makes me have goosebumps every time i read a new chapter, and the way she weaves such layered, multifaceted characters into the storyline is just as compelling. her tom riddle is a character you love and hate and are scared of at the same time, but besides tom, all the other central characters in Imperium - adelaide and eileen and even cygnus and druella black are people who are so morally gray that you don't know what to think of them or how to feel but you also can't stop reading. even when there are poor rabbits being murdered
Aphoride Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Title: No Accounting For Taste Author: @TidalDragon Link to Story: here+ Warnings [if applicable]: Consent Issues (Severe), Derogatory Language, Sexual Content, Substance Abuse Reason for Nomination: Kevin's writing is always so so good and this story isn't any different. It's a beautiful, unique pairing with a great Muggle AU-type setting, and both Harry and Katie are great, likeable characters. Harry has all his recognisable Harry quirks from canon: his obliviousness and somewhat inexperience with girls , his being late to class and disorganised; and Katie is a great character - she's dedicated, got a good eye for detail, a bit quiet, and very friendly. Their friendship and romance are written so so well - but then characterisation and relationships have always been a great strength of Kevin's. It's a great great story and more people should read it
just.a.willow.tree Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Title: kiss each other clean Author: @facingthenorthwind Link to Story: here+ Warnings: sexual content Reason for Nomination: I think this story deserves all the love in the world. Emma is an extremely talented writer; she's so funny and witty in her writing while also managing to strike all the most poignant emotional chords, and accomplishing these things while writing a fluffy Wolfstar set just at the beginning of the Second Wizarding War... Well, it's just bound to be a masterpiece. I read through the entire one-shot in one sitting, which is something that's really hard for me to do nowadays (especially given the limited time I have), because I simply could not tear my eyes away. It is so sweet, and separate from all the disastrous events in the wizarding world, that you can really enjoy Remus and Sirius as they are. It's such a beautiful and funny story, please read it, and enjoy it!
Archer Rose Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Title: Gone Author: @Ineke Link to Story: here Reason for Nomination: This is such a breathtaking exploration of grief that Ineke has created, I was so impressed by how the piece showed so many complicated feelings in Draco's character. I think the imagery was really on point during this piece which really made it stand out, I love the relationship that has been crafted between Draco and Scorpius as it feels so tangible. I feel Draco is quite a difficult character to get right but Ineke has really nailed his thought process as a husband, father and individual. This piece is must read in my opinion.
