To the East | Tanda

One idea hit me this morning, so I determined to make my novel nest. 

I would like to intend this one shot for Kevin's knockout challenge. Under the circumstances, I need a beta reader.

The goal : 10, 000 words.

The main character is Ron Weasley who misses his brother Fred. George is broken, Molly is broken and the other members are similar to their mind state (Ginny looks happy with Harry, but the inside of her mind, she keeps worrying about her family. ).

One day Ron will be informed around a ramen noodle maker who lives in Japan while he was travelling in Asia. He will decide to learn how to cook the best ramen for his family to get back the normal ties of the Weasley clan. On his way there, he will encounter the weird thing (which is also for Noelle's story challenge).

Hi @Tanda! I'm excited to see your novel nest and wanted to drop by with a couple of questions:

1. How far will Ron's travels take him? Is he traveling by broom, port-key, something else?

2. Do you have a favorite Ramen recipe?

3. How's NaNo going so far?

Hi, Noel. Thank you for encouraging me to go on.

 

1. I'm stuck in the exact portkey plot. From Britain to the east Asia is so far away, it's not like from Ireland to America, immigration for Irish people, not so far, you know? I tried several times portkey transportation for Draco in my old story,  a daughter of Ninja, HP AU. So I'd like to avoid the same way, I need some more exciting alternative... maybe Charlie will help, which sounds more interesting... just plotting.

 

2. Ramen recipe … we have some delicious ones...I know I can write a lot once I start describing them. I'm just struggling to explain sadness of the Weasley clan right now. My favorite is ... I can't decide which, we have soybean based with seaweed konbu dashi or bonito, miso taste, chicken soup, pork bone soup and chili pepper... 

 

3. I wrote a few descriptions around the Weasley family from Ron's POV. I need more and then Charlie and Ron, perhaps their conversation to the east.

Hello, hello! Just dropping in to give some encouragement, one week into NaNo! How are things going for you at the moment? Any triumphs? Any failures?

When is this story set? Very shortly after Deathly Hallows? Or a few years after? And where in Asia does Ron travel?

1 I've just added 170 words after a week.  

In total about 800 words, what a coincidence, your user name!!

2 Yep. Around the first Christmas time after Fred was killed... so sad for the Weasley clan. 

 

3 Under the circumstances, for Ron to learn how to make ramen, he will visit Japan with Charlie's help.
