Okay, I'm nervous lol 

So this is my first NaNo, heck this is my very first long fic in English! I have to say I'm having trouble with the planning, especially what exactly to write in every single chapter. This is stupid, but I have pretty much the whole story outlined, but I have a hard time writing the content for every chapter. Don't know if it's because I'm a beginner writer (a bad one) or because I'm dumb lol Anyway I've started writing it in August, but I'm currently stuck at chapter 4, I've already published the first three on A03 and FFN (go check it out if want to) I'm pretty much using NaNo to un-stuck myself, if that makes sense, and finish this story because I love it and I want to see it completed.

Anyway here goes my project for this November.

The story is an AU, so pretty much it's a What If..? 

The premise is Remus Lupin and Sirius Black made different choices, which have led them in different directions in life. What if Remus was convinced to go on a date by the Marauders and actually finds the love of his life at Hogwarts and puts her before friendship. What if Sirius actually follows James example and settles down after graduation, marries Marlene, his Hogwarts sweetheart and again puts love before friendship. It looks like they would have the perfect life, right ?

Well, wrong! Remus girlfriend finds out Remus is a werewolf after giving birth to their daughter - Rhea - and leaves the baby to Remus, abandoning them ( it is Remus's fault ) Sirius and Marlene have a baby boy - Leo - and Sirius avoids Azkaban thank to Marlene testimony, but DeathEaters attack their home in retaliation. Marlene dies a horrible death to protect Sirius and Leo. So Sirius and Remus lives aren't really tragedy-free even in an AU.

James and Lily would still be killed by Voldemort and poor Harry would still be sent to live a miserable life with the Dursleys. But this time Remus and Sirius are actually around to make Harry's life better. How different can Harry's life be with a supporting family on the side? 

 

I tried to be as concise as possible while still making sense, I'm not sure If I explained myself. If you have questions, please do ask! It's quite an intricate story, so it's hard to keep it short.

Oh, this sounds like such a classic Marauders AU! I haven't read one of these in ages, so I'm very excited to see that people are still writing them!

Gosh, I empathise with you about writing content for chapters. I've been writing for several years, and I still feel like I struggle with the actual content of chapters, even if I do have a detailed outline. You're right, this could be because you're a beginner writer (especially if you're writing in a language that is not your first), or this may just be your writing process! Perhaps actually getting words on the page is a way for you to figure out what's going on in your story. I love that you're using this NaNo as an opportunity to explore that, because it really is just about getting something down.

Hi! Thank you, so awesome to hear you like the idea so much! Actually I probably explained myself badly, it's mostly focused on the children (OCs) of the Maraduers, family and friendship with Harry, plus with some flashback to the past. 

I could probably write a Marauders Era prequel from Remus perspective, that would be kind of interesting. 

I think I struggle mostly because I'm not really a planner, even if I was writing in my native language it would be the same, so It's probably just how I roll ahah also I'm not the most extraordinary writer, I feel like a lack a lot when I read a really good fan fiction. My writing is lackluster in comparison, but I do try ahah
