Hey, Kaitlin! I am here to offer some emotional support! Yes, better late than never, indeed!

I am most excited about your travel blog, honestly. From following you on Twitter, it seems as if you've been to such cool and awesome places all over the world, and I'd love to hear about them. Your unique perspective is very evident in your large body of fictional work, so I'm excited to see what that unique perspective looks like in the form of a travel blog. What sort of structure and content are you thinking of writing? More of "this is what I saw. This is what I did" or "these are my reflections on these places I've been to, and this is how they've affected me" or a mix of both, or something completely different? Travel writing isn't a genre with which I am all that familiar, so would love to get some insight into your writing process!

Why hello there! Thank you for the emotional support. Believe me when I tell you it’s definitely needed. ? I have been to a lot of cool places, 25 countries now to be exact, but I don’t know that I have a particularly unique take on them. I’m going to try and do a mix of info and reflections. I’ll have travel guides for specific cities and info related to different travel issues. I also have written some reflective pieces about my own experiences, issues I’ve run into, how I felt in certain places, etc. I’m mostly trying to avoid falling into the overpolished, super fake, ball gown dresses on mountains Instagram travel look. I want it to be real and relatable for the average person. If you’d like, I’ll let you know when my site is live. Hoping by the end of the month.

I am totally going to check it out! Go, Kaitlin! Go!

I have now dubbed myself as the NaNo word count monster, so I am dropping by for an update on your NaNo journey so far! What's been happening? What can we celebrate with you? In what areas would you like us to cheer you on?
