Ever see a person IRL who looks exactly like your headcanon vision of a character?

Totally random. Are you ever just out and about and see someone who looks exactly how you envision one of your characters (or, if not necessarily a character you write, just your headcanon vision of any character)? I just had this experience and thought it would be fun to talk about and hear other people's experiences.

 

I'm volunteering at an event for some law school students, so everyone there is like 23-27 years old. Everyone's in professional attire, which is important to this effect. I see this dude who is tall and thinnish. Square, black-framed glasses. 1940's/50's-type college contour/ schoolboy haircut (side part, tapered sides, longish on top) - not the slightest bit trendy, hipster, or ironic. No movie star good looks, but not unpleasant either.

It was Percy gott-damn Weasley.

I write him mainly in his 20's, so even that part was perfect. To be fair, he did not have red hair, so I am in fact cheating at my own game here. But if dude dyed his hair it would be an exact match to my headcanon. The face was spot on. I think I had surprised Pikachu face. 

I decided it would be creepy to run up to him and go, "YOU LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTERRRR!!!"

 

Would love to hear if any of your characters have jumped off the page and started walking around IRL.

YES! I met the PERFECT James Potter at a Seaway show once! Glasses and smirk and everything! He was engaged to a stunning girl with dark auburn hair too which I'm convinced is close enough!

YES!! EXACTLY THIS HAPPENED!  in the summer i was in brussels and there was this girl standing in the main square who i could have sworn i recognised and then realised that nope it’s just she was cassie (my oc) right down to the scary glare I got back after looking at her for too long

not necessarily irl but there's a men's fashion blogger who followed me on instagram a few months back and i immediately followed back because he's literally james potter. everything about him is 100% accurate to my headcanon version of james and i would 100% use him as a faceclaim for my fics if that wasn't incredibly weird.

No, I actually haven't seen someone who instantly struck me as the embodiment of one of my characters, but this is such a great idea.  Now I will have to be perpetually on the lookout for someone who represents Howard Sutton, my oc in Greenhouse Seven  and The Crofter and the Snake. I know just what he looks like in my head, but my chances of seeing him in a crowd are somewhat slim, given the circles that I move in (my church, the hospital, the food bank, and various organizations peopled with individuals my own age).  I'll have to walk around on a college/university campus looking for him. (That might be fun. "Pardon me, young man.  Do you mind if I take your picture?)
