Unlike the In the Spotlight blogs, the potpourri blog posts can be a bit of anything. Examples of some past blogs have included fic recs, advice columns, facts and information relating to some of our favorite things, and staff appreciation. We wanted to reach out to the community and see what kinds of things you might be interested in seeing in the CC blog! This could be a specific idea or a general topic - we'd love to hear anything you're interested in! Please feel free to post any ideas you have in this thread or to reach out to any of the Community Coordinators via PM if you'd feel more comfortable. Darling_take_off_the_mask Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 I was looking back through past Prefect blogs and saw that a while back you did a thing where you wrote letters from Lockhart to staffers, which I thought was cute and funny. I'd love to see some more creative, tongue in cheek things like that. Maybe letters from each of you to one of your characters that's giving you grief? Or swap it, letters from your characters to you about everything you do that annoys them? Reviews of fics on the archives from the perspectives of your own characters/HP characters? Along the lines of facts and information about your favorite things: Maybe an entry about your favorite vacation memories/destinations? An entry where each of you is asked what kind of work you would do IRL and what you think you would do in the wizarding world?

crowsb4bros Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 A fic rec list of specific rare characters would be cool! like we have a decent number of fics for uncommon characters like Gabrielle Delacour, Marietta Edgecombe, etc I'm always looking for writing resources (about sensitivity writing, finding your voice, plot/outline development, things that force me to write) Maybe an inclusion of tiny writing prompts as a challenge like the question of the month thing (ex include a banana in your fic or include a random line for a chance to win x) Maybe introduce us to a smaller fandom that as a whole we aren't familiar with and tell us why you love it

grumpy cat Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 i'd like to see maybe some book and/or fic recs featuring poc characters or written by authors of colour and bi characters (yyes, i'm selfish ) if you've read some or know some that are good! i recently started following dailyaoc (m) on tumblr and they've got some beautiful aesthetics that got me interested in a lot of books mentioned, i'm just having trouble narrowing things down because i just want to read all the things but then end up doing none of it
