batsam Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 After long days spent saving lives, you need a place to cut loose and have a positive space for yourself. Got any reviews during this event that really made your day? Squee about them here!
Guest Noelle Zingarella Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 I am so grateful for all the amazing reviews I've received so far; but I wanted to stop in here and give a shout out to @Chemical_Pixie for the review she left on illecebrous. Abby was my sounding board for this story while I was writing it, and it meant a lot to me that she then took the time to come back and review it--especially with such a detailed and squee-worthy review! Thank you Abby
Darling_take_off_the_mask Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 Eva @just.a.willow.tree tore through all 11 existing chapters of Irrational in about a day, leaving beautiful, detailed, thoughtful reviews that made me squee so much because she seemed to really get my characters and to be so engaged. Also she made some comments and questions that have actually helped me think through some places where I’ve been feeling stuck moving forward, so THANK YOU, EVA!
mydearfoxy Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 @VaguelyCreativeName has now reviewed every existing chapter of Beyond Repair and her reviews are so lovely and thoughtful and she gets Lily and Petunia so much. Thank you Julia, you are amazing!
down-in-flames Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 @MuggleMaybe left me a super sweet review on 9.9 out of 10 in which she referred to me as 'the jilymaster,' and i loved it so much i made it my member title
belgian quaffle Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 @MuggleMaybe left me the most wonderful reviews on blood in the water (which i havent updated in forever and i am SORRY) but her reviews are so lovely and thoughtful and amazing, just like she is herself
grumpy cat Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 @something wicked deni is just....she left me so many amazing reviews during the deep dive and they're just all so...understanding, both of the hot messes that are my characters and myself as a writer. and they all literally make me go all fuzzy inside, even the ones on the stories that i usually have trouble reading reviews for - thank you *_*
Lost_Robin Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 @just.a.willow.tree always leaves me such warm and thoughtful reviews, and I love reading them. She just always makes my day with her reviews, and I was so excited when I got a bunch of notifications about Iris albicans.
TreacleTart Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 A big thank you to @RonsGirlFriday for the lovely review left on Damaged. Tbh, I wasn't expecting any reviews in this event because I haven't been around much, so it was a lovely surprise.
just.a.willow.tree Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 @Aphoride's reviews are always incredible, but her amazingly generous, thoughtful comments on 'of trolls and nifflers' made me genuinely feel better about the story. Thank you, Laura.
grumpy cat Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 @Crimson Quill left me a couple of reviews for the event and all of them have been lovely, but the one she just left on napalm skies is just so wonderful to read because abbi managed to really get the sense of the story i was trying to convey and reading all the things she loved about the story that's probably my favourite that i've written so far is ahh beautiful *_* thank you!
mydearfoxy Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 @Aphoride, @RonsGirlFriday, and @potionspartner have all left reviews on A Ghost, a Grave that made me particularly happy because it's my newest story. Thank you so much!
batsam Posted February 2, 2020 Author Posted February 2, 2020 I am dying over the perfection of the review that @Aphoride just left me, and especially that she called it "the romance of hannibal, with the kinda bluntness of villanelle" which is frankly goals well, mine.
Guest Noelle Zingarella Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 @Aphoride reviewed my story Todentanz and I am just so grateful! This story was so hard for me to write and she really got it on so many levels--thank you so much for reading it and for writing that AMAZINGLY THOUGHTFUL and DETAILED review!!
batsam Posted February 28, 2020 Author Posted February 28, 2020 I read this in a review @Noelle Zingarella left and can't get over how sweet it is Quote The image of the group of them, sneaking into Dumbledore’s room in the middle of the night so that he can make a formal ruling on who the best boyfriend is will stay with me forever. It may well be my new Patronus conjuring thought.
Guest Noelle Zingarella Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Once again, I am overwhelmed and delighted by the reviews that folks have been kind enough to leave me; and I wanted to give a special shout-out to @just.a.willow.tree for her amazing review of Todentanz and to @Chemical_Pixie for her review of choking on sugar cookies. Both of these stories were pretty personal to me and difficult to write--and difficult to share. Thank you for your feedback and your support
Oregonian Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I am just overwhelmed by the generous, kind, heart-warming reviews that @MadiMalfoy, @VaguelyCreativeName, @just.a.willow.tree, @pookha, and @RonsGirlFriday have left for my story The Irises Will Take Over The World. A giant Thank You to @Noelle Zingarella for nominating this story and for her wonderful review in February 2019. And to you, too, @crowsb4bros (AKA Paula the Prokaryote), for writing a review when the story was first going through the queue. I am so happy that you all "got it", every little bit of it (unlike my writing professor and the young men in my writing class ). Whenever I read an outstandingly good story and start feeling the compulsion to throw all my manuscripts into the fireplace, it's guys like you that make me put away the matches and stick the manuscripts back into their folders. Love to you all!
Oregonian Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I also have to give a big Thank You to @RonsGirlFriday, @Aphoride, and @MadiMalfoy for your lovely reviews for my poem Narcissa in the Forest. It's so neat know that the poem came across for you the way I hoped it would, with the emotion, the tension, the desperation, the final daring act. A point you all made was that treating the subject in a long, narrative poem with formal structure gave the subject extra energy and power, with extra emphasis at key points. The cockles of my heart are warmed to hear that, for it is why I write the way I do. It is too bad that they do not teach this 'old-fashioned' style of writing in poetry writing classes. (Don't get me started on that.) A big Thank You to @Noelle Zingarella, who nominated this poem and whom I can always rely on for constant support. You're the best!
just.a.willow.tree Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 To all the sweet people who've been leaving reviews for me -- thank you, from the bottom of my heart! I feel so, so grateful that you guys are taking the time to write such lovely thoughts for me. @Aphoride, after your wonderful review, this part made me feel so teary-eyed: Quote I know it's personal to you, and you write from the heart when you do your poetry and it's so wonderful - gentle and open and with a real depth to it which I love. Thank you, everyone.
Guest Noelle Zingarella Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 @MuggleMaybe @just.a.willow.tree thank you for the lovely reviews on illecebrous! This ship broke my heart too
Ineke Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I want to thank everyone who left reviews on my stories, because I appreciate it so very much and I got more than I expected would get But also a special shoutout to @just.a.willow.tree, @MadiMalfoy, @nott theodore & @TreacleTart because your reviews just all left me emotional as hell (esp those left on Gone bc i found writing Draco somehow harder than Rosa) and just thank you all
