Ineke Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Do you ever start writing a novel with a concrete plan in mind only to discover things about your story you never knew? Does your main character suddenly show an interest in painting or did something happen out of the blue and surprise you? Here's the place to post all of the things your didn't know about your novel.
Guest Tanda Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Cowslip Shakespeare used in his story. Neville has interest in the plant as well in my story. I wonder how wine made from cowslip tastes like. It is said to be effective for coughing. Snape must have known the Muggle plants including cowslip better than Neville.
beyond the rain Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 "Nana Snape" was originally dead in my fic, I recently found out she's alive and well living in a muggle retirement complex. She also runs a laundrette in Stockport, not far from where she lives. I've also discovered that Lennie avoids recent history and any mention of war like the plague. Before I started writing the general idea was that she didn't know too much because she thought her parents would tell her eventually, and asking might trigger old memories. She has no idea about any of it, like she's painfully unaware of her family history. She thinks Dumbledore was just an old headmaster, and that her dad (Snape) became a fake death eater in the 90s, on the order of Harry Potter. SMH she's such an idiot
