okay so i'm back to make this make a bit more sense. my og post is under spoilers near the bottom. for julno im focusing on literal chaos fire (M), my muggle au chatfic focusing on molly weasley ii, lily luna potter, and victoire weasley, three cousins/bffs who are trying to navigate love, life, and general chaos (that they may or may not have indirectly or directly caused). there's also a missing moments companion called embracing the chaos (M) which has irl scenes to complement the chatfic vibe, by giving y'all some much needed context.

y'all, if you haven't read the first 8 chapters (aka the first half) of literal chaos fire, here's a TLDR; molly, vic, and lily are chaotic college students in this muggle AU. they like drinking, hooking up, teasing each other, and generally having a really good time, no matter the consequences. for julno, i want to finish lcf. im planning 15 chapters, so ive gotta get 7 of them done. then i want to start and hopefully finish the sequel (lol because yes, this was supposed to be a short story and will now be a 3-part novelette series with missing moments and more than one songfic epilogue) as well as the required missing moments and stuff! I'm just gonna post everything in here at some point, including pinterest boards that i definitely didnt spend too much time on...

THERE WILL DEF BE A MISSING MOMENT SOON(ish) THERE WILL BE SO MANY BECAUSE THESE GIRLS ARE SUCH UNRELIABLE NARRATORS AND DONT TELL THE OTHERS ANYTHING IMPORTANT EVER, THEYRE SUCH A PAIN!!!

My favourite is Molly only because she's modelled after me (the three of them are modelled after specific people - not based on but modelled), which seems like a cop out. But like also who doesn't love a trash can of an engineering student who drinks too much on weeknights and is in love with her best friend  

But if I'm being fair, I love them all. Lily is living out my younger fantasy of going to law school and having a hot, popular athlete be interested in her, while also being a complete mess who still has everything together, Vic is amazingly put together on the outside, but has a bunch of turmoil inside which is hella relatable, and she's also the most supportive cousin/bff you could ask for, and Molly is... well, see above  Can't pick a favourite (except it's totally Molly)

1. What made you want to write this as a Muggle AU, rather than having them study in the magical world?

4. What are you most excited to write in the coming chapters?

HIII!!!!  That's alright, I think my synopsis above is pretty much all that really happens 

1. I really enjoy college age romance novels, and there's no real college equivalent in the magic world (and I didn't want to create one), plus it's very much modelled after messenger group chats and I was unsure how to work that in. Plus it's just fun

2. No description! If I'm really into it, I can write like 3 chapters in under an hour (which I have actually done) because a lot of the dialogue is based off how I imagine my friends and I would talk to each other, so it's really easy to just let it flow!

3. When people are together, there's no need for texting, which is why there's the missing moment collection. Otherwise, the whole storyline I have for Flynn and why he's sober wouldn't be communicated, and I think it really does have impact on the story to know the small details like that! Plus, the angel/devil missing moment is something that won't be brought up for a while, so even though it happened during everything else, no one really knows whats happened, and its going to provide a lot of context that would otherwise just leave things confusing.

4. Oh man, I'm so excited for more ~*drama*~ and also the ending to lcf. There's also a very specific line that I know I want to write at some point but it's not ready *yet*! Plus after all three of the novelettes are done, there's at least one epilogue type one-shot I am so excited to start on!

5. Not really, just because they're my characters if that makes sense? Like Molly might be heavily modelled after me, but at the end of the day she isn't me, I'm not giving her a lot of my experiences because they aren't necessary. And no, I am fully planning completely evil author in the next few chapters for Lily, at least, and the others will also have some really difficult things happen, because I love making people yell at me in reviews

6. Um, a bit of a mix of both. The GIST of everything is kinda based off real experiences (*cough cough* being in love with your best friend and him bringing around his flavour of the week all the time *cough cough*), but the specifics, especially in the missing moments, and the actual conversations are purely fictional. So I know a steady relationship that ended because of long distance, not wanting to jeopardize your friendship with someone so you avoid dating their friends is something that happens around me a lot, and a lot of those overarching plot lines are very real, but what happens and how it ends isn't based on any true story.

7. Oh man, I love the girls. I mean it is centered around their group chat so I feel like that's a cop out, but I just love how much love and support they have for each other while also being complete messes and encouraging some questionable behaviour  If I can't pick them it would be ScoRose and their interactions with everyone else. They're both very uptight yet supportive of their family/friends, so they'll deal with everyone's crap up to a point, and then also as a couple, they love messing with the others (see: last chapter and Scorpius's name change  )

The first is Vic, our resident scientist, second is Molls, chaotic as ever, and last is Lily, our iced coffee-loving law student   (emerson, flynn, and teddy probably to come shortly)

1. alright so three headcanons for each? im gonna assume these means 3 for each = 9 because i wanna talk about my babes  

• percy is an engineer and that's why molly decided to go into that line of work
• molly's favourite class is math, no matter what she says
• she's secretly jealous of her sister lucy for not having as much pressure on her to follow in her dad's footsteps
• vic actually doesnt drink very often unless its with her cousins
• vics cat is named snuggles not because the cat likes snuggles, but because vic does and forces the cat to love her (much to snuggles' chagrin)
• vic gets panic attacks
• lily loooooves iced coffee (i dont think ive put that in even though it's on her picspam)
• she has definitely hooked up with some of James' exes on the DL (james knows and doesn't care, he's a bit of a player)
• lily gets judged a lot based on her looks (i.e. people not realizing how smart she is because her cat eye is on point)

2. playlists, all day every day!!! spotify is a gem and i would gladly give up pinterest for my songs every day!!!

3. I think not much would change about the girls. I think there's still a need for their professions, just magicalized? So molly might be an engineer working on how to get technology working for use with the magical community/how to improve technology with magic because i hate the idea that magic =/= tech. Everyone needs a lawyer re: harry's trial where it was dumbledore because that was dumb, so lily would just be a magical lawyer, and vic would probably still be doing science-y stuff, just aimed towards how magic affects the body and DNA and probably trying to work out where magic comes from!

4. i mean i can't really choose? they're all gonna get their day in the sun  maybe molly because of her age/what she's going through and the lengths she's going to just to hide it, but honestly they are all disasters and i love them all

anyways, here's a picspam i made for my new favourite character, emerson. she's in biomedical sciences, loves puns, and is generally a cutie pie. obviously she's as sweet as sugar and im not saying that one of these photos is totally what happened in an angel and a devil walk into a house party, but i'm also not not saying that... you know?

AAAAHHHH okay so i'm not planning on doing that (right now at least), but does it help that I am totally planning a fic wherein technology and magic work together, and the divide between muggle and magic is significantly lowered? And it won't be molly, vic, and lily, but there will be an amazing trio of awesome girls

WOOOOOOO CHAOTIC TRIPLETS UNITE!!!! Thank you for the questions I'm so excited to get right into it!!!

1. oh man okay so here we go, most of these are romance based because it's me, obvi:

• Lily: looking at me by sabrina carpenter; slow dance by aja mitchell+ava max; about love by marina
• Molly: don't kill my vibe by sigrid (gryffin remix); slow by matoma (ft. noah cyrus); kissing other people by lennon stella
• Vic: whyamilikethis by stef; perspective by maty noyes (ft. hazers); i do by astrid s+brett young

and then the overwhelming song that describes the trio is friend by emily vaughn, sophie rose, and emily zeck  

2. ooooh another fun one okay

• Lily: black and white monochrome with some pink thrown in. always looks perfectly made up and will always wear bootie heels. her room is a complete disaster of colour and mess though
• Molly: absolute chaos, truly. lots of baggy sweaters and slouchy tees and mismatched socks. her room is also a disaster of random paraphernalia, from books she really doesn't need to a box of nail polish she swears she needs
• Vic: very professional, enjoys blazers and sunglasses. constantly looks like HBIC without even trying. everything has a reason to be there, and everything has a spot to be. kinda dark scholar type vibes (but will wear the brightest undergarments as a subtle rebellion  

3. I think the most challenging scenes to write are always when I'm finished with the chapter but there's not enough words. I try and hit 1000 every time, but when there are large chunks of time when people are together, it's a bit harder (since technically there's so much the reader is unaware of based on in person conversation). So I would say the days where they're together most of the time are super hard to navigate if the rest of the day isn't very eventful.

The most fun is always the drunk scenes and when they're trying to hide things from the others. The drunk scenes because it reminds me of all the terrible decisions my friends and I have made and those are always fun times, the hiding things because they're all terrible liars when talking to the others. Your best friends know you best after all

Now I present to you - WILLIAM FLYNN!!! Aka hottie mchotpants, the smoking (literally) hot football player! While making this I realized that I wanted to give Flynn something to do that would keep him sober but still let him be a little irresponsible (if you'd like to know more about *why* he's a sober bean, feel free to check out football player in a minivan) so i settled on smoking

But he's also the quarterback (a good one at that even with the smoking), and is super smart. So is he a good match for Lily? idk yet  jk, i totally do but although they're super cute together now, you'll have to stick around to find out

1. How do you go about creating OCs, particularly ones like William Flynn? Do you find them easier or harder to create/write than the next gen cast who make up this story?

2. I love Teddy's aesthetic in that picspam too! Can you tell me one thing about Teddy (maybe something that isn't going to make it into the plot?) that you really love or that's surprised you since you started writing?

Oh my god all these new picspams whaaaaat. Flynn no wonder Lily absolutely loses her head around him. Also, now I wonder what Scorpius looks like in his head because this guy you've used as Flynn, I remember him being a super usual choice for Scorpius when NextGen first became popular.

If they ever went backpacking together, would it be just them or would hey take someone along with them? Also, where would they go, what sort of countries??

Sian!! Hello, and thank you for the questions!!!

1. Honestly in Flynn's case I kinda gave him a name and everything else followed as I was writing/picspamming! I knew he was the quarterback, and that's about it... It is definitely harder to create the OCs in this fic than NextGen but I always find that the case because I kind of have subconscious headcanons about NextGen characters that I pull into every NextGen fic I write? lol i'm not really one for planning

2. Ooh, I mean idk how much it will factor into the plot, but Teddy plays the violin and is an English major. I see her more as a dog person which is why she was so okay leaving the cat for Vic. I think my favourite part about Teddy though is that I see her as this HBIC and absolutely has a resting snark face, but is honestly such a Teddy bear (lol get it) once you get past that exterior.
