Hello, I’m Delaney (HufflepuffBookworm1990) and this is my Novel Nest

Frets and Flames

Michelle Turner wasn't sure what to expect when she accompanied her boss to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament -- but it definitely didn't include meeting her long-lost younger half brother Neville or crossing paths with ruggedly handsome dragon wrangler Charlie Weasley. Sparks fly before the first task has even begun, and when Charlie has to depart for Romania once again, Michelle starts thinking it's about time she made a new pen pal and maybe more.

Goal - Just to write

Untitled - George/OC

Summary needed

Goal - just to write, title and summary,

Rhapsody- Percy/OC

Summary needed

Goal- writing/loosely developing, summary

Apparently this is Weasley appreciation month and I’ m fine with it.

I'm impressed by your dedication to so many different ones because I can barely focus on one story :kittenknife:

Thanks.

Hi Delaney!  I'm here with some questions and encouragement!

1. I love your titles so far - how do you come up with them?

2. You're writing three stories about Weasleys this month (love a Weasley story!) - are the characterisations of them different in each story?

3. How do you balance the different stories?  Do you have a routine, or just write where the muse takes you?

4. What do you think your biggest challenge is going to be this NaNo?

5. What are you most excited to write?

6. I noticed your projects mainly pair the Weasleys with an OC - will the stories all be written from the OC's perspective?  Do you find it difficult to write from the perspective of multiple OCs at once, or are they very distinct to you?

Good luck with your NaNo projects!

1. Frets and Flames refers to my OC’s ex-boyfriend is the lead guitarist of ‘The Weird Sisters’  and Flames refers to Charlie. Rhapsody is about the younger sister of the lead singer of ‘The Weird Sisters’, Myron Wagtail.

2. No, I don’t think their characterizations change. Percy’s storyline might be messed with a little especially in Rhapsody. Or they could all take place in the same universe.

3. Probably the summaries and the title for the George story.

4. I’ m not sure. Frets and Flames has 26 chapters already. While the others have snippets of scenes and a few chapters.

5. My stories usually focus on OCs who end up with Charlie but I decided to branch out to George and Percy. It’s kind of difficult trying to get them straight but I manage.

1. What's your favourite thing about using OCs as your main characters?

2. When you planning on setting your percy/oc and george/oc stories? While at Hogwarts or as adults?

3. Who is your favourite OC that you've created?

4. What do you like so much about the Weasley family?

5. You said that you write a lot of charlie/oc stories, what attracts you to writing Charlie's character?

6. Why do you enjoy writing romances so much?

1.  I think I like thinking about their families the most and the dynamics they have with their siblings/parents.

2. Percy’s story begins right after he finishes Hogwarts in December 1994, so he’s 18 as is my OC, Dorothy. George’s story begins in his second year (1990) which is my OC, Siobhan’s third year.

3. I guess they kind of remind me of my family in a way. Big and loud but loveable.

4. I like that he’s a character that we don’t know too much about and I can write him how I want.

5. I’m just a sappy type of girl. I love romance.

Hiya Delaney! Happy Camp NaNo: July Edition! I love your last line in your topic post “Apparently this is Weasley appreciation month and I’m fine with it.” because that is honestly so great because we need more Weasley-centric fics on the archives! I’ve got a couple of questions for you :)

1. Of the three brothers you’re writing fics about for JulNo, which one do you find easiest to write, and which one do you find the most difficult?

2. How much do you prefer to stick to canon events and how does that affect what your OCs can do in relation to your Weasley boy love interest?

3. Which of these three fics are you most excited to finish and why?

3. Which of these three fics are you most excited to finish and why?

1. As much as I like Percy, he’s kind of hard to write well so Charlie and George are slightly easier.

2.  George and Percy’s love interests Siobhán and Dorothy respectively are there for most of the canon events since Siobhán’s story starts in 1990 and finishes in 1998 while Rhapsody begins in December 1994 and ends in 1998. I mean Michelle is there for canon too but since Charlie isn’t that involved in canon.

3.  Probably Frets and Flames since I know where it’s going and have more written.

Thanks for the questions.

Hey, Delany! I'm stopping by as your NaNo Buddy and I have a few questions.

1. What do you find hard to write about Percy?

2. How do you approach canon events while you're writing these stories?

3. How is Camp NaNo going for you?

4. Do you have any headcanons for the Weasley boys?

1. Probably his stuffiness and supposed no sense of humor

2. Charlie is mostly in the background while George and Percy are more in the forefront of canon.

3.  It’s going well.

4. Bill and Charlie are very close. Percy has anxiety. I haven’t thought of any more.
