Some claim that Exploding Snap is merely a game of luck, but those well-seasoned in the art of the game understand the deep underlying strategy in this fast-paced card race. Get your cards ready... rules and points: to put a card down, make a post (with a minimum of 250 characters) in any of the following forums: crazies' café -> novel nests writing talk excluding rat races and request reviews reading talk fandom talk excluding archived threads post links to all posts in your house's exploding snap thread. when and if you hit an "explosive" thread, staff will alert you that said thread exploded. you do not need to wait for staff to respond to post in a new thread, but be warned that if multiple members post in a thread that proves to be explosive before a staff member responds, all posts will explode. threads remain explosive through the entirety of gameplay. creating new topics will not count for points in this game, only existing threads. you will receive one point for every post. every "explosive" post will subtract three points from your total. net point totals will be used to award placement points at the end of the game. this event will run from now until 12 pm gmt on 4 july.

nott theodore Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 If we make a post in a thread that's explosive, but we don't post the link in our CR thread, will that post count against us? (E.g. if the students vs staff thread was explosive and we knew that, could we post there again later without losing points, if we don't submit the link? (I know that thread won't count for this game which is mainly why I used it as an example ).)

(I know that thread won't count for this game which is mainly why I used it as an example ).) nope! posts must be included in the submission thread to count, so if you don't post them in the cr thread, they won't explode on you. also: just want to note for everyone that the phrasing on the points section of the instructions has been edited!

batsam Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 When submitting a post, please try to type the thread name as it appears on the forums (for example, for novel nests you should include the story title as stated in the topic title, not just the author's username) This will help make sure we don't accidentally mark as safe something that is explosive!
