Plot Synopsis

 

It’s October 1979 and as the decade comes to a close the times are a-changin’ 

 

 

Margaret Thatcher has become the first female prime minister, Arsenal won the FA Cup final and Orion Black seeks refuge in Squibs Valley.

 

Making a deal with Tom Marvolo Riddle a.k.a Lord Voldemort is never a good idea, even for a respected pure-blood family like Orion’s.

 

Main Characters

 

Brian Laszlo Teague - Landlord of The Lion’s Head pub in Godric’s Hollow. Former sergeant in the British Army, has expected Voldemort’s revenge for 36 years due to their enmity as Hogwarts students.

 

Orion Black - The feckless son of Arcturus Black who in order to please his wife has made a deal to find the legendary ‘Eye of Cassandra’ for Lord Voldemort.

 

Randolph Lestrange - One of the original Death Eaters, father of younger Death Eaters Rodolphus and Rastaban and father-in-law of Bellatrix.

 

John Percival ‘Jack’ Teague - Brian’s only son, recently welcomed his second child and son : Eddie. At the age of 31, he’s a surprisingly young detective sergeant, however his occasional assistance to the Auror Office has helped his career.

 

Minor characters

 

Marius Talbot - The vicar of St. Jerome’s Church, he has only been in Godric’s Hollow for five years. Thus he’s still getting used to the fact the majority of his flock work the orchards til daybreak, indulge in the odd criminal act and still go to church to save their souls every Sunday.
