This is a challenge I've been wanting to do for a while, considering I'm truly curious to see how songs can inspire people to write certain stories. To make sure I'm also actually familiar with the songs (because I live under a rock and am mostly unaware of everything popmusic) I compiled a list of 40 songs, which I have randomised so it's not sorted by length/artist/whatever in Spotify, and which is truly a mix of symphonic metal, pop, 90's, and soundtracks! The premise is simple. You pick a number between 1-40, and I will give you a song to let yourself get inspired by. Be it the lyrics, be it the melody, be it the vibe, you name it. As long as you're inspired by it, I'm absolutely okay with it! If the song isn't your jam or isn't giving you any ideas whatsoever, I will allow you to switch a maximum of two times (though you may also pick a song already revealed through someone else). As for fandoms I will accept OF, HP, B99, DW, and there might be other fandoms I might be familiar with but forget to list, so if you want to do something else beyond that, just hit me up and we can see if we can work it (because I'd personally prefer it if I understood the fandom). Pre-writtens will not be allowed, though I will accept new chapters in already ongoing stories provided they're inspired by this, or multichapters in general, as long as there are at least two chapters posted and/or in the queue by the end of the deadline. I will also accept all ratings. As for rewards - I'll be reviewing every entry, and will leave another 6 reviews for the winner on stories of their choice, 4 for the second place and 2 for the third. Graphics may be thrown in if I can find someone to make them for me bc otherwise you get to deal with a stickfigure made in paint. Lemme know if there are any questions whatsoever! TL;DR: Inspired by a Song challenge, deadline Sept 1, 2020 Pick a number between 1-40 for the song to be assigned. Can be switched twice.
