magemadi Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 November Story of the Month Nominations How it works: This thread is for you to nominate your favorite stories to be recognized as the FFT Story of the Month. Seconding isn't necessary, as all stories will move on to the voting round. Mid-month [approximately 10 days after the nominations thread is posted], a Community Coordinator will post a voting poll for all of the stories that have been nominated. Don't worry about having to rush - you will have about 10 days to read the stories and vote for your favorite! Winners will be announced in the News Bulletin on the first of each month. All SotM Winners will also receive a cool prize! Please post your nominations in this thread using the following format: Quote Title: Author: Link to Story: Warnings [if applicable]: Reason for Nomination: Rules for Nomination: 1. Guest pookha Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Title: Severus Snape and the Midnight Tea Author: la_topolina Link to Story: link (M) Warnings [if applicable]: slurs Reason for Nomination: Have you ever wondered how Snape reacted to Luna in his classroom? This story shows his exasperation with the very talented Ravenclaw. The conversation between Snape and Flitwick feels real, with Filius's care for Severus showing. This story shows a redeemable Snape with human qualities and a teacher that's not all the way subsumed in his hatred. His interactions with Luna feel real.
lostinthelightss Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Title: A Valediction Author: @RogueSlytherin Link to Story: clicky clicky (M) Warnings [if applicable]: violence Reason for Nomination: This story was written for Renacera's ABC drabble challenge, which was a feat in of itself to complete (26 drabbles with chapter titles going a-z)! But not only that, Jacquelin has managed to weave this impossibly bittersweet tale of Regulus and his reasons for leaving the Death Eaters. I might be biased because Regulus' story of turning on Voldemort is one of my favourite 'missing moments' from the books that I like to explore in fics, but everything from Apathy to Zealot (lol get it? A-Z but with chapter titles?) is both melancholic and heartwarming, raw and oh so beautiful. Tens, tens, tens across the board.
