victoria_anne Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Do you ever start writing a novel with a concrete plan in mind only to discover things about your story you never knew? Does your main character suddenly show an interest in painting or did something happen out of the blue and surprise you? Here's the place to post all of the things your didn't know about your novel
WalkingDredd Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Gilderoy Lockhart is going to be releasing a christmas album.
magicspacehole Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 I started this dumb TMR thing promising myself there would be no sympathy and no redemption. Only character analysis. Then on day 1 of Nano I started going through my real-world research and the first sentence I read was "I suspect that what must have predisposed children to be unhappy in any children's home was the realisation that no-one wanted them." Welp, I'm depressed. And now I can't write a single sentence without seeing my MC in a totally different light.
lostinthelightss Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 i never planned to have lysander's brother, lorcan, have any big impact on the story and now he's one of the major players in a messy situation...

This is such a mood in my story too because Charis was just going to be Cedrella's sweet little sister, whom she liked and found a bit of comfort in, but now she's gonna be kind of a big deal. Also, in writing Ch 1 an OC character just popped up, requiring me to think the hierarchy of servants in the Black Family household (which is still a pretty jacked up concept overall, but they're nuts and partially evil((ish))).
BellaLestrange87 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Antonin was supposed to have a slow burn (in his mind anyways) chapter with The Girl he likes, except he went and harassed her in the library instead and now she doesn't like him. He's still convinced that he can get her to change his mind by bugging her even more, so clearly he's the right kind of person to become a Death Eater in a couple years after this chapter.
