Archer Rose Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 i've been pretty absent from writing/community recently so this is going to be a challenge with stuff that I have going on but I wanted to get back into writing. these are quite small targets but i'm trying to be practical (aka, not set myself up for disappointment when/if i fail terribly at this!) warpaint - chapter 10 my babies are back so chapter 9 hit a really big point in bee and albus' story so what's going to happen next?? everyone is confused, feelings are shared, blackmail is afoot. it's all going down. i'll maybe start chapter 11 if this gets finished as I'm a fair way through chapter 10 already. untitled lavender brown one-shot this one-shot is in my tea leaves and jasmine series as 5th installment from my original trilogy. this piece is based five years after 'seeing stars' so the last chronologically too. it is intended to be my last. the setting is a wedding, lavender will run into parvati for the last time in five years, a lot has changed in five years. goal simple as finish chapter 10 & lavender one-shot, just try to writing throughout the month. so any questions or general encouragement is needed/welcome thanks loves.
shadowycorner Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 Abbi dear, hello, missed you so much and I'm very happy to see you peeking back in for a little bit. I completely understand how real life can get overwhelming, happens to me too. Your goals sound great and just having them is, I think, an important step forwards that will hopefully get you back to writing. I, for one, am absolutely PSYCHED about that Lavender one-shot you're planning. And whoa, a wedding....WHOSE wedding are we talking about??? What helps you get into the mood for writing, especially in times when your mind is elsewhere/you're busy? What would be your theme song for both your Lavender series and Warpaint? Good luck!
Aphoride Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 abbi!! i'm so so happy to see you back around again - and i feel you on the just-wanting-to-write-anything-at-all thing, honestly. but i believe in you 1. i'm so so so psyched for another lavender/parvati fic - i adore them so much. is there any chance of a happy ending? yes? no? maybe? (pretty please? ) 2. five years is a long time jump - will lavender and parvati have changed a lot in that time or not so much? are they all positive changes or are there some more negative ones too? what made you pick five years in particular or was it just a time jump that felt natural to the story and the way you wanted it to progress? 3. warpaint! bee and albus are such an opposites-attract couple and i love them for it how much do you think they've helped each other grow throughout the story so far and do you think they'll continue to do that for the rest of it? 4. i love the way you write the potters as dysfunctionally functional, with all the dysfunction stemming from caring about each other but not going about things in the right way. will we see more of the potter-weasley clan later on? and will we see albus' relationship with his family improve? (though, er, i imagine his relationship with james may go south a bit before it goes north again ) 5. without giving anything away you don't want to, can we have a couple of lil hints about what's going to go down in the next chapter or two?
magemadi Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Hi Abbi! I’m happy to see you’re going to be using NaNo to write more of Warpaint and a Lavender one-shot! Especially as you’ve had me podfic a few of those past Lavender/Pavarti one-shots so perhaps I’ll get to do another one Anywho though it’s nice that you’re not holding yourself to a specific word count goal for this month as your projects don’t necessarily require one, but that you just want to write / finish them! Sometimes I find goals like this much easier to follow than strict word count ones. I’ll be popping in from time to time to see how you’re progressing, and I hope you can keep writing all throughout the month!
grumpy cat Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 i'm very happy to see you abbi!! and i'm hella excited about the new!!!lavender!!story!!! i'm still keeping my fingers crossed she and parvati get a happily ever after but even just the two of them happy but apart is something i can live with because they deserve the bestest things.

I think I've told the part of them being teenagers/early twenties already so it felt natural to move on to another stage in their lives. they've been a lot of changes in that five years which you'll get to see in the piece. in seeing stars, we start to see the beginning of lavender's journey into self love so that's a key theme that is carried forwards into this piece. lavender and parvati have a pretty strong connection to each other which doesn't always just fade with time. they mean a lot to each other but a lot has changed in five years. 3. warpaint! yay! bee and albus have really helped each other, i think their differences have helped them in that but i think their differences are not so wide as when the story begins. the theme of helping/lifting each other up will be key throughtout the rest of the story but there will be drama along the way! 4. yes, they'll be more focus on albus' family life and their development through their troubles. albus and james' relationships will remain pretty rocky for a while though. 5. so next chapters will see bee's changed personality tested, bee will be making some new friends, bee and albus' relationship status gets complicated, more family drama, lou's revenge thanks for the support love! @pirate grumpy cat @magemadi thanks for support guys!! @shadowycornereli! hello darling! thanks for the message! i'm going to keep whos wedding it is a secret for fun gosh, i think walks are really helpful for clearing the mind then characters are playing in my head. i often get ideas when i'm walking or getting my nails done. I just need to be excited about the project to really carry me forward. I've been super quiet because I'm not had much energy but I'm feeling excited about writing again. honestly, music wise? i don't really have any songs that really stand out as 'theme' songs for the characters, I think lou always seems to have lots of songs to fit with her though. 'back to you' by louis tomlinson is basically james/lou's relationship.' 'Whoa, you stress me out, you kill me You drag me down, you fuck me up We're on the ground, we're screaming I don't know how to make it stop I love it, I hate it, and I can't take it But I keep on coming back to you that chorus say it all haha. thanks all! I hope I'm able to get some words now! fingers crossed for me!
