P A S T  M I D N I G H T

okay i'm almost late but i'm here and almost ready to maybe actually write. 

for nano this year i'm going to make my first actual attempt at original fiction, with a story that i've got a very rough outline of about characters that dont even have names yet but somehow have pinterest boards (...at least im on brand). the title, along with everything else is a bit of a work in progress but the general outline is a dark fantast esc world full of secrets and danger and a girl who can listen to stars and has powers over the sky. theres going to be the usual witchy vibes, morals as grey as the glasweegen sky, good characetrs being bad and bad ones being good, way too many star/light refrences and the ususal guy whos a total dick who you hate to love and love to hate (the deni-writes-james archetype, if you will). i'm not going to set a word goal because lets be real when have i ever actually hit that, but i'd like to get some more solid planning done and will keep updates below. i'd just like to write something this month.

Deni, I already LOVE this! Just, the whole aesthetic you’re captured and the dreaminess of this idea is 

here are some questions for you!

1. It’s so exciting that you’re venturing into OF! Is this an idea you’ve been sitting on for a while, or is it a recent inspiration?

2. I’m super curious about the setting. Is it more urban or rural? Do they have modern tech? What kinds of buildings and landscapes and etc? If you wanted to base it on Scotland I would support that bcs what a fucking magic country 

3. Is there a main villain or set of villains? What’s their evil plot, so to speak? Can you give us any hints about the parts of plot you know?

4. Speaking to stars. I love it. What kinds of things do stars say?

5. Romance???

 

This sounds brilliant Deni! And I totally believe you’ll be able to plan some wonderful story for it and write some words!

Solid, realistic plans, m'dude. Sounds like you have a very clear idea in your head that still can't be exactly explained, but I do love deni-writes-james dickness. It's the best sort of dickness and I mean, who likes an emotionally balanced, evolved man in fiction? We're all here to fulfil our dreams of being slammed against walls and snogged silly, not to fall in healthy love. PFFT.

DENIIIIIIIIII i'm so so excited about this story, ever since you first mentioned it!!  it's such a beautiful, twisty, fantasy world - everything i love in a story, honestly!!  - so i'm so looking forward to see where this goes, however long it takes  

i'm definitely going to be back, lurking in this thread to over the course of the month
