I wasn’t planning on making one, but someone (you know who you are) repeatedly told me that I should, so here we are. Things that would make me happy: HP fic recommendations – Remus is my bae, Remadora is my OTP, but I also love Marauders era and Weasley fics. If however you know of any fics that don’t involve those characters but that you think I’d like or that you just want me to read: gimme! I’d be happy to check them out and review! Book recommendations – my reading interests are broad, but if you want to have an idea of what I’ve been reading, you can check out my Goodreads. (Angsty) song recommendations that would fit with Remus and/or Tonks Upbeat song recommendations that I could add to my running music playlist: maybe those would inspire me to go running more than once a week (but really, who am I kidding?) Picspams for Remus and/or Tonks or for Robert and Cora (Downton Abbey) That's it, really! I also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has said hi to me or who has gifted me already! (You're @prideofsnowfairies friend, so I'm not surprised... ) You asked for recs... and really, our archives are so full of gems that you could just pick anything at random and you'd love it... but I'll try to compile a little list of my faves just the same (a small extract, because I'm so bad at remembering... anyway...) Remadora fics: Remadora is actually my OTP (or was before I became obsessed with Peter/Remus ), but for some reason I've never really read much of it... but I still have a few First kiss by @Unwritten Curse (I'm partial to this one because it was dedicated to me... ) An unexpected adventure by @MileyMalfoy Windows that don't open by @facingthenorthwind (this is actually an anti-Remadora... but it's beautifully angsty and so, so touching and the characterization is perfect and makes a lot of sense... even if you'll end up hating Remus just a little bit... but no one can really hate Remus anyway... it's still worth it, though!) Other Remus / Marauder-era fics: Once upon the Marauders by @FlamingQuilltips anything by @dottie-wan-kenobi? I mean, I've only read a couple of things on her AP, but I've adored what I've read. She writes the Marauders so wonderfully and her writing is really lovely! again, literally anything by @VaguelyCreativeName But especially: Demons and Dementors, Rinse and Repeat, Black-letter Days. And if you want a good laugh, Housecup shenanigans (I promise that each one-shot in this collection is gold!) All the Jillys (AU or not) by @down-in-icy-blue-flames but especially 9.9 out of 10, highly recommend! grumpy cat Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 emma! i'm here with some of my favourite fic (and some original story) recs from fft - they're not remadora but they're still my faves and they deserve all the love the chai series by @800 words of FAIRIES - a fantastic series of oneshots about neville and hannah and they're so freaking adorable i guarantee you'll love them notes from the ravenclaw bulletin board by @Lost_Robin - this is set during ootp and chronicles the school year through a series of notes written on the ravenclaw bulletin board and it's funny and witty and amazing and there's toadopolis and it's such a great insight into ravenclaw house, their culture and traditions and members this calls for a toast, so pour the champagne by @tinyporcelainehorses - a dudley/cho fic you never knew you needed but they're so well written and believable and it's funny and heartwarming and i love it to pieces inheritance by @Bunbury - a hilariously dark story about phaedra morley who suffers from a curse and who is trying to find a cure, but also gets entangled with grumpy snape and her hilarious friend hector. jane writes stories that will have you gripped to your seat because the writing style is something ...wonderful and clever and so engaging (the way) you say my name by @ice fairy abhorsen. - a collection of oneshots about draco and astoria and their relationship - these stories are the ones that brought me over to fft in the first place and they're amazing (also i highly rec branwen's shenanigans universe if you like next gen because her victoire and fred and their friends are a++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++) yaxley by @something wicked - a hella angsty and dark and dramatic sirius/oc that you just can't stop reading once you start the moth & the flame by @sinnersandsapphics - an original story that's so deliciously dark and creative, it's just a+++++++ the brightest pearl by @sibilant - mermaid!cho!!! it's a fairytale featuring a character who deserved so much more and better in the canon and i love this creative take shreya took with the character and weaved this fantastic story of mermaids and love and feminism a woman's place by @kuusi palaa - this is a collection of stories about all the female members of the orider of the phoenix and it's just so damn good i love it ministry memorandums (from the mysteries) by @apondinabluebox - hilarious bureaucracy 10000/10 would recommend passports required and the ungrateful dead by @1917farmgirl - it's fred weasley in the best possible way imperium by @Aphoride - laura is the queen of tom riddle and imperium is such a great portrayal of him - it's dark and twisty and absolutely perfect logarithmic by @val - a story about eloise midgeon and cormac mclaggen and damn it, it's so good and the chemistry between these two is insane and they're also sometimes dumb teenagers and there's peak drama and war and ughhh it's just so so so good the chaos universe stories by @marauderfrozenintime - peak next gen chaos it's awesome crossing stars by @magnifique - amelia bones and marlene mckinnon are hella awesome and in love and perfect ink stains on my sheets by @shadowysnowyfairy - the best ron/hermione i've read. ever. 100% and i see you've already been rec'd all the jilys by @down-in-icy-blue-flames but i just need to reiterate that rec, taylor is the queen of jily

Book Recs: Just off some of my recent reads (mainly YA lol) Carry On by Rainbow Rowell invoked the love I have for HP while being gay so amazing!! Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan is a fantasy novel about humans and animal deamons living together side by side with humans being a lower class status (content warnings galore for this book to look into!!) As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti everyone who lives in a small town gets a magic wish on their 18th birthday. Sad Song Recs: This is where I shine. Some that I think are good for Lupin & Tonks: Bear by The Antlers, As The World Caves In by Matt Maltese, Another Love by Tom Odell, Two Slow Dancers by Mitski, Rivers and Roads by The Head and the Heart, BITE by Troye Sivan, Monster by dodie. I am here with just a couple of book recs that I read and loved recently. If you'd like to try some good old-fashioned yet timeless fantasy, I'd recommend the Earthsea cycle. Especially the third and fourth book Farthest Shore and Tehanu resonated with me greatly! Also, The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue by V.E. Schwab is what I'm reading currently and it's just beautiful. These are all fantasy, and so I'm not sure if you're super into that? So I also see you like some detective style novels, so have you read anything by Tana French or Camilla Lackberg? Those are the authors I really like in this genre I'm really really hoping to get to know you better !
