Unwritten Curse Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Happy Holidays, friends. I know I haven't been around much lately, but I love this time of year and all the generosity on the forums so I thought I'd pop back in. For this holiday season, I would love any of the following: Picspams for Project Azkaban, A Little Too Much, or The Possibility of After (because then maybe I'll find the motivation to update those babies) A new signature set for the forums (advertising any of the above stories - here's (m) my Pinterest if you need inspiration) A banner for my Poetry Collection on the archives (just something simple that says "Gina's Poetry") Reviews on any of my stories or questions in my Writer's Journal Fic recs: Dramione, Muggle AU's, Dark/Horror, Scythe fics, Anne with an E fics Book recs: I love dystopian novels, dark YA books, books that explore mental health, LGBTQA+ books, and poetry collections

ineffable_season Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Hi Gina! We've not officially met (although I think I've reacted to some of your content on discord bc i'm a weird lurker) but I'm Courtney. I am here with a couple of book recs because I actually read a good bit of dystopian within the last couple of years and maybe you might be into some of them? I mean I loved Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler. I highly recommend if you can handle things like violence, murder, and some torture involving children and adults as well as references to sexual assault. It's crazy how this book was written so long ago, but some of the themes still resonate today. Another one is The End of the Ocean by Maja Lunde. It's more eco-fiction and deals with a worldwide water shortage and a race to save civilization. It does have some dystopian elements to it as well. I really enjoyed it and thought it was another timely read. I also loved these dystopian books that are also considered YA: Wilder Girls by Rory Power->Ok, so I do have ONE complaint about this book. But I still recommend it because there were some relationships and characters I loved so much in this. We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Meija -> This one was great and there is also a sequel. I definitely want to check out Project Azkaban because that sounds so intriguing! Anyway, hope you enjoy these few book recs. Happy December! Courtney
Unwritten Curse Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 @prideofsnowfairies Hi Courtney! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some recommendations. I haven't read any of these except Wilder Girls so you just gave me lots of books to add to my TBR! I totally trust your tastes btw because Wilder Girls was honestly so, so good - it checked every box for me - except the ending was a bit of a disappointment (but I'll disregard that because there were so many aspects of it that were still perfect). Thanks again! I hope you enjoy Project Azkaban if you do check it out.

Yesss! That was my one complaint with it! was the ending! Or it needed a sequel. And I don't think one is coming
Felpata_Lupin Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Hello Gina, darling! Here's a little review for you!
Hawksquill Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Hi! I've left you a review on the absolutely beautiful "Constellations." Happy holidays!
magemadi Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 hi friend, happy new year!! I'm here with some scythe fic recs! I slithered here from Endura just to sit outside your door -- Curie/Faraday as if Curie was revived after the Endura incident. The Star That Shines The Most -- Curie/Faraday missing moments-style when she had her crush on him through them getting together and then of course the angst tbh i also hope to get something written for this fandom soon too -- i think i'm going to start my new year off with a re-read of all three books so i can get into the characters better, so be on the lookout for that soonish! love ya lady!
