Gryffin_Duck Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Hello all! I've had this idea in my head since the summer and figured I'd give it a go for Nano this year. Encounter in Progress No one at school knows Leah Willow Malone exists and she likes it that way because the more people who know her the more faces she has to remember. But online, in Storm of Centuries, there are no faces for Leah to remember. Too many people know Aaron Briggs exists and he hates it, because who wants to be known as the kid who was struck by lightning? But online, in Storm of Centuries, no one knows about Aaron’s near death experience. Leah and Aaron are both part of Obscurity, a streaming guild in the MMORPG Storm of Centuries. They’ve never met in real life and they both prefer it that way. But when the developers invite Obscurity to stream from their first fan convention, Leah and Aaron may lose their virtual haven, or gain even more.
RonsGirlFriday Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Oh my godddddd I love this. 21 hours ago, Gryffin_Duck said: They’ve never met in real life and they both prefer it that way. It's such a relatable feeling, probably for a lot of people around here especially because for a variety of reasons the prospect of meeting a good online friend IRL might carry a good deal of apprehension, and I love that that's central to your story. I have nothing intelligent to ask right now but I'm sure I'll be back!
