magemadi Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) As you enter the gold-tinted atmosphere of Bennurn, all your studies on the various planets and their topography could not prepare you for actually seeing the surface of Bennurn with your own eyes. Like cogs in a machine, twisting green and gold and red masses of land seem to twist and shift right before you. The display on your screen shows you multiple space ports within easy cruising distance, but suddenly one of them is marked "offline" as red earth juts out of the ground and cleaves the space port's launch pad in half. Seeing that, you expect the captain to guide you to one of the others nearby. However, you do not land at the nearest space port; no, instead, you fly to the northernmost point of the primary continent. This area has very few buildings on it, but a glittering sparkle coming off of the ground nearly blinds you as you come in to land. What you initially mistook as reflective building tops are, in fact, many kilometers of raw, uncut precious metals and gems used in crafting the spacecraft you just flew in on. Then, a message appears on the main holoscreen of the ship: Bennurn welcomes you, cadets, to the source of many of humanity's most explosive and expansive discoveries in recent centuries. Do watch for the time dilation winds during your time here, as they tend to...fluctuate irregularly. Please keep your watches synced together -- Bennurn has seen hundreds of cadets return to their space port many time units longer than they thought they were out and finding it to be entirely gone. Enjoy your stay here, and please, feel free to take your time. Bennurn welcomes cadets at all times during each stage of the Race the Galazy event, but reminds cadets to publish all mission reports during the round in which they were generated. If you have any questions specific to the mission on Bennurn, you may ask them here. An Admiral will respond as soon as they receive the communication. All Rounds building 1+ building 2+ building 3+ building 4+ Round 3 wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff+ Edited March 16, 2022 by grand admiral lostinthelightss Quote
