lostinthelightss Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 hello hello! we are back for another monthly challenge! the rules are simple - each of these tasks must be completed during this month - that means starting Mar 1 and ending Mar 31 in your time zone. reviews can be from anything (review swaps, review thread, review tag, review event, literally any reviews you leave), review responses can be left on any reviews regardless of when they were posted (but you have to respond to the reviews this month, they cannot be reviews you've already responded to), and recommendations should be posted as a blog (if you already have a rec blog, just yeet those right in there!). please note that the nomination part of this challenge is different this month as we are currently in inky nomination period the challenge: leave 5 reviews respond to 10 reviews post 1 recommendation nominate 1 story for story of the month because our annual inkys nominations are happening, we're asking for at least 5 nominations for the inkys the prize: ... the glory of completing a challenge? we'll be working behind the scenes to see what we can come up with, but likely a shoutout in the next bulletin, and maybe some extras as the months progress. if you complete all 12 challenges for every month this year, there may be something extra in it for you as well... you can use the following to keep track of your progress: Quote Reviews review 1 review 2 review 3 review 4 review 5 Responses response 1 response 2 response 3 response 4 response 5 response 6 response 7 response 8 response 9 response 10 Recommendation - recommendation
Oregonian Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 @grand admiral lostinthelightss A question (or three) about the fourth requirement for the March Forum Challenge. Does seconding a nomination made by someone else (because they nominated that story before you had a chance to do so) count the same as making a nomination (because of course the story won't become a finalist unless someone seconds it)? If you nominate a story but it doesn't become a finalist for lack of being seconded, does it still count as a nomination? What if you have trouble remembering which stories you nominated or seconded because the names of the nominators/seconders were stripped from the nomination/seconding posts?

What if you have trouble remembering which stories you nominated or seconded because the names of the nominators/seconders were stripped from the nomination/seconding posts? seconding definitely counts because it's really just a second nomination! nominating a story that doesn't become a finalist is still a nomination so that also counts! and if you have any questions about which categories you nominated for, you can always send me (or any other staff) a message as we have it on (super secret) record!
