July Story of the Month Nominations

How it works:

This thread is for you to nominate your favorite stories to be recognized as the FFT Story of the Month. Seconding isn't necessary, as all stories will move on to the voting round.

Mid-month [approximately 10 days after the nominations thread is posted], a Community Coordinator will post a voting poll for all of the stories that have been nominated. Don't worry about having to rush - you will have about 10 days to read the stories and vote for your favorite!

Winners will be announced in the quarterly News Bulletin.

Please post your nominations in this thread using the following format:

Title: Starless

Author: Badgerspride

Warnings (if applicable): War

Reason for Nomination:  Parvati Patil, after the Battle of Hogwarts, in which Lavender Brown died.  A narrative of prolonged grief, and Parvati's return to her family in India, where their love might help her find peace.  Bee gives us an array of glimpses, full of perceptive insights, like tiny Missing Moments, from Parvati's and Lavender's first year (1991) to the present (1998), revealing their growing friendship through thick and thin until the terrible event of Lavender's death.

Title: Make Me Feel Alive
Author: @jemima.moon
Link to Story: Here
Warnings [if applicable]:
Dying/Grieving, Misogyny, Panic Attacks, War
Reason for Nomination: Even though we've only got two chapter so far, the story already feels so well-founded and properly developed. The protagonist, Marlene, is a complex character with complicated family issues, strong friendships, and the daunting reality of life during the first Wizarding War. Jem does a great job setting the mood and developing the characters, and has managed to leave me on the edge of my seat, wanting more.

Title: you crawled inside my head and set a fire there instead

Addiction
Reason for Nomination: I really love the way @grumpy cat writes this story. The characters are so rich, and the descriptions paint such a vivid imagery that it tends to capture the mood of the characters and draw me in for more. I love the way angst and fluff are balanced, and the way a lot of the background on characters are slowly being revealed as the chapters go on. Lyannas character is quite complex, and written in a way to rope the readers into her struggles while making me root for her to find the happiness she so deserves. It’s so clear she’s been through a lot, and we see her journey here as she struggles to let Jamie in.
