  November Story of the Month Nominations

How it works: 

This thread is for you to nominate your favorite stories to be recognized as the FFT Story of the Month. Seconding isn't necessary, as all stories will move on to the voting round. 

Mid-month [approximately 10 days after the nominations thread is posted], a Community Coordinator will post a voting poll for all of the stories that have been nominated. Don't worry about having to rush - you will have about 10 days to read the stories and vote for your favorite!

Winners will be announced in the quarterly News Bulletin.

Rules for Nomination: 

1. To be eligible for nomination, a story must have been updated sometime within the past 12 months. 

2. Stories can be any genre, character type, fandom, or length.

3. Any story nominated must follow site guidelines.

4. All nominated stories must be posted on the FFT Archives.

5. You may only nominate ONE story.

6. Stories do not have to be complete to be nominated. WIP's are acceptable.

Nominations will close on October 21 at 11:59pm GMT!

I have a question, @RonsGirlFriday, concerning nominations.  Every month 2-4 excellent stories are nominated to be Story of the Month, one nominee wins the vote, and the other nominees don't.  I don't recall ever seeing a non-winning story nominated again in a later month (correct me if you have seen this happen).  I would like to renominate an excellent story which  I have nominated in the past but which did not win that month.  I think it deserves a second look.  Is it permitted to renominate a good story (which falls within the time limits of posting, of course)?

Reason for Nomination:  If memory serves, I nominated this story once before, and though it didn't win that time, it's such a great story that I offer it to you again.  The originality is remarkable, the imagination is wide, the story pulls you along. It is different from most of what we read here, and I happen to know that Drew put in countless hours of research to make it historically accurate.  Give it a good look, at least through Chapter 8.

Reason for Nomination [optional]: It's an epic love story. You meet these two at the very beginning of their relationship and then go through all the ups and downs of their relationship. As a reader, I felt like I got to watch the them grow as individuals and also as a couple. It's impossible not to get attached to these two girls.
