this is peregrine's rook.

the upper landing of this staircase, frequented more by the staff than guests of Wren's, hosts a small ravenry off to the east out an exterior door. several inky black feathers lay on the floor near the entrance, as if one tried feverishly to get in.

this secondary staircase landing leads downstairs, and on the upper floor connects to:
