Reason for Nomination: This is one of my all time favorite stories on the site and since Meg is updating again, it qualifies for nomination. I checked through the master list and was shocked to realized that SSS has never won the site-wide monthly award and am very excited.

Meg does an amazing job building angst for her characters. You are rooting for Hermione and Severus the entire way because she just makes you love them, even the ever snarky Severus Snape.

Reason for Nomination [optional]:  Admittedly despite only having read the few first chapters, I found myself enjoying this story about a boy named Howard Sutton who hails from the Isle of Skye who is forced to come to Hogwarts and his journey onward. Vicki does a lovely job of expanding the layers of the worldbuilding of the Wizarding World that is not touched upon in the canon, painting vivid descriptions of scenes that come to life in the imaginations of readers, and crafting a responsible yet brave character in Howard whose journey feels tied closely to the canonical events of The Deathly HallowsThe fact this story has not been featured as Story of the Month is surprising although I feel that it's very deserving of it!
